Good Day In Herndon
May 6th, 2008 by joe
The entire pro-immigration enforcement town council in Herndon, Virginia was re-elected. Mayor Steve DeBenedittis was re-elected over challenger and former council member Harlan Reece by about 1300-900 votes. Reece’s seat will be filled by Richard Downer (no friend of the current council) so the status quo is precisely maintained.
A good day for the good guys.
UPDATE: View complete results here.
A few photos, maybe some more coming tonight along with some more commentary …
Former council member Ann Null (l), local grassroots political maestro Butch Baughan, and new Vice Mayor Connie Hutchinson.
Herndon, meet your newly re-elected Town Council - well, four of ‘em anyway (minus Dave Kirby): from left, Tirrell, Hutchinson, Waddell, Husch.
Re-elected Council Member Charlie Waddell with our man in Richmond, Tom Rust.
And … drumroll please … the man who truly had the coattails tonight, en route to a blistering 40% victory …
MAYOR STEVE!
The non-politician, graduate of Herndon High School, improbable victor two years ago (to say the least), has cemented the citizens’ victory of 2006.
The entire Herndon Town Council w/ significant others. Newcomer Jim Vickory (4th in from right) did not make it in, but in his remarks tonight he noted that his entire goal in running was to help re-elect the current Council which has done so much good work, and since the majority was maintained he has no regrets. It was a very touching and uplifting speech, apropos to the occasion.

Oh, great. Another two years of illegals migrating from Herndon to Sterling. Thanks, guys.

Yup, I talked to one of the re-elected Herndon Council members about this and also with Tom Rust. I explained the problems on this street and especially the new arrival boarding house right across the street, which appears to be a “company town” project of a Verizon subcontractor called Ivy, and which neither Zoning nor the Sheriff’s Office seem inclined to do anything about.
The Herndon council member was apologetic, and said “all we can do is do what is right on our end” and Tom said we need to bring the problem to Scott York.

Ivy is well known for this. Down south in VA recently an Ivy sub got a stiff fine and 18 months in jail for hiring illegals.
Ivy’s illegal workers tore up my neighborhood installing FIOS.

I’m about to toss my cookies!
Butch Baughan is the one who started “Citizens for Herndon” in May 2003 and to see him sitting there together with Ann Null, the one who invited Erin Anderson and Tom Fitton and Tom Tancredo’s mouth piece, Linda Muller + husband to address the Town Council in Herndon, is just TOO MUCH.
The two of them were originators of the dismal, hateful campaign two years ago and, yes, the rift that’s still festering in Herndon.
Imagine the germs that were blown onto that cake!

Lovisa, I knew everyone would appreciate that one. It really is a fabulous photo, if I don’t say so myself.
BTW Ann Null and Erin Anderson are two of my favorite people on the face of the Earth, so you just made my day.

I pity you, Joe! Poor taste in women IMO.

I assure you, his taste in women runs to the smart, beautiful and gold-hearted. The modest, too!

THAT’S why Null and Anderson are his ideals! Got’ya.

For certain members of the LCBOS follow along if you will. You know who you are.
The citizens of the Town of Herndon elect an entire new set of elected officials who promise action on the subject of illegal migrants and the day labor site. They deliver on their promises and are awarded with being re-elected.
Prince William County Virginia passes a rule of law resolution in order to combat the ill effects of illegal invaders on their community.
A resolution that just last week withstood repeal by apologists for illegal migrants. The law has the desired effect illegals are leaving Prince William County in droves.
The City of Manassas city manager implements a policy to deny illegals aliens licenses and permits to do work in the city. The same effect here, illegals are relocating to the safer confines of places like, Arlinton, Alexandria and Loudoun.
Political commentators might call these trends, a detective might call them clues. They would both call you politically tone deaf and asleep at the switch . Wake up before their is a train wreck in Loudoun county.
Supervisors, Miller and McGimsey call your office.

Greg,
I think that their TDY terminal is broke. Could you please take the above comments and forward them in braile so that the terminally stupid can understand them also.

NoVisa,
Check your house-slippers. I think you just stepped in ca-ca.
P.S. Linda never shoots first unless it’s self defense.

Dan,
“Ivy’s illegal workers tore up my neighborhood installing FIOS.”
Sorry. You can’t use that as an excuse for something your dog did. It’s been tried before. You know illegals are great at lawn service. It’s in their blood.
