Greg,

Sounds like "Corporate America" where if you screw up (run afoul of corporate policy) they make you get help and training so that the error of your ways may be seen and understood. This is done so that when you screw up a SECOND time, hey, we gave you a chance, now your out-of-here! So do we at least get to s**tkick these idiots once we have "educated" them or will they always get more chances?

Selfish xenophobe? Why not just a disgruntled tax payer trying to make retirement with a dollar in his pocket.

Look down the tracks and what do you see ?
I see local governments and activists who will insist that local tax dollars be spent to assist those who are here and have no one. ( by their own choice )Assist them in keeping their lives both productive and in order. Mark my word there will be a push for Social services to intercede with our tax dollars into the social lives of these single wayward lost borderless souls. The argument will be (is ) that spending money educating and caring for these single illegals is in everyones best interest. We must retrain them in the interest of good public order.

It is actually already happening. Right here in Loudoun County our court system at taxpayers expense had and may still have classes dedicated to those Hispanic males who have run afoul of the law. These classes held on weekends teach class participants about such things as it is not OK to beat your wife after you have slammed back some frosty Coronas. Contrary to the way it may have been in your country of origin, you cannot take a leak against the building in Leesburg, again a by product of Corona. And yes a drivers license is required to drive an automobile.

These services are being offered and in some cases mandated to illegals on your dime. So follow me here for just a minute. You are supposed to accept the fact that illegals from other nations are here for purely economic reasons ( doing the jobs you will not do ) and while they here it is your job to finance their re-education as to basic human behavior. further adding insult to injury, if you make a peep about it you are labeled a selfish xenophobe.

You are a good writer, Joe. Invent the WaPo! that's akin to saying we don't want liberals to be extinct -- we'll keep a few of them to remind us why we are conservative... (Rush, I think, loosely paraphrased)

It would be interesting to check what sort of contributions Verizon has made to certain Virginia elected officials. Ken Stolle? Bob McDonnell?

Verizon keeps their hands clean by hiring subs, then the subs hire the illegals to do the work that a Ditch Witch won't do.

What I find amazing is that when one talks about sending the illegals home, we hear the breaking up families sob story, when the reality is the family was broken up when Pedro decided to slip across the border.

These left wing nut jobs at the Post never fail to amaze me. Maybe they realize that if the border is secure that this also will cut off their drug supply ?

These Latinos that are renowned for being "lovers" are here without wives or husbands. Same thing at home. Who is taking care of mama's or daddy's needs? They are not here "short-term" and, if illegal, can't go home for fear of not making it back into the U.S. (I know. Pipe dream on my part). These all make good "sympathy" angles but none of it makes any sense. Stealing jobs, supporting another country and increasing crime here is all that it is about. When are these "journalists" going to stop playing the "poor, poor illegals" game?

BTW Verizon, Cox, Comcast just don't care. They have a need and a limited budget. Subs are not their worry. Kinda like homosexuals in the military. "Don't ask, don't tell".
