It appears that Governor Palin is a nightmare for Democrats.  She has a very strong on fighting corruption, and not letting the good ol’ boy network get sweat heart deals.  For instance from the Wall Street Journal:

After handily winning, her popularity in Alaska soared as she went on to sack political appointees with close ties to industry lobbyists and shelved pork projects.

She killed the bridge to nowhere.  She reduced the budget ! She lowered taxes, Alaska’s economy is doing better than the rest of the country.  Are you listening liberal whackos?

Even better, the Obama tried to paint her as a pawn of big oil.  This is an outright fabrication.  Part of the whole sacking of appointees with ties to industry involved giving the oil industry a lesson in who runs the state.  Again from the WSJ:

She appears, for example, to have forced Alaska’s dominant oil producers, ConocoPhillips and BP PLC, to finally get serious about a natural-gas pipeline — without making any tax or royalty concessions.

So, who is in the pocket of big oil?  This is a Governor who took on her own party.  As governor who ran as an anti-corruption candidate who has delivered.

“People see her as the symbol of purity in an atmosphere of corruption,” says Anchorage pollster Marc Hellenthal.

This is a Governor who has done more to cleanup Alaska in two years than the past three governors did in 12 years.  She is worthy of our respect.  Obama has three years in the Senate, she has two in the Governors mansion.  Before that Obama was a state legislator and a community organizer.  Palin was a mayor and the owner of a commercial fishing business.  In short her resume measures up well when compared to Obama.

The key difference is she is at the bottom of the ticket and Obama is at the top.  Something is wrong in our political house when the shortest resume is the favorite to lead the country after the election.
