   I like her less and less.

   Okay now I’m making an assumption. In this picture she looks older than 25 to me, I may be wrong but this is the assumption I’m working on. (Joe if I’m incorrect let me know) Anyway she is 44 right now and her oldest child is 19, thus this picture was taken after she was a mother. Again maybe I’m just old school but I think there are some things you tone down after you have children.

   A person has to think how their actions could later affect their children. Those actions include behavior, arrest, pictures etc.

   Plain may be a great person and a wonderful mom, but I’m starting to question her judgment.

   I know I would not have wanted these pictures of my mother floating around when I was in middle or high school; As a 14 year old kid, this picture of my mother would have embarrassed the hell out of me.

   But hay, maybe it raised the number of fathers involved in the PTA>

   Even if the above picture is of Palin ‘after children’ – she had her first baby at 24 or 25, so she has to dress like a nun the rest of her life? This looks like late 80’s – early 90’s era of micro-mini skirts and shiny shirts. We all wore them, but few as well as Sarah.

   I can think of a couple of pictures of my parents from the 60’s and 70’s that are kinda embarrassing, mutton chops, gold lame outfits, leisure suits, mom with a big hair piece or a beehive hairdo, and dad with shaggy hair and full beard – the biker look did not fit him. Maybe that is why they never ran for elected office??

Personally I do not think I would want my wife to dress like that, let alone then take a picture of here, but that was 15, 20 years ago? I guess there is NO stature of limitations on bad taste if you are not a libtard,

   For the record, a Dem, Independent, GOP, Libertarian whatever need to be aware of how their actions affect their family.

   Cathymic, no I don’t think she should dress like a nun but I do think there is a middle ground between a nun and this photo, but if you need to speak in extremes that’s your choice.

   Agree with Ted. Take a look at the length of her neck. Looks abnormal. Recent pictures don’t show a swan neck like that. That head was put on somebody else’s body.

    Ted, I was wondering that myself, given the reflection of the flash in her cornea, relative to the shadows. Looks like two different angles.

    Also, looking at the glasses, appear to be the same or extremely similar to those she currently wears.

    I’m convinced this is a photoshop hack.

    Here is a solid individual who can think beyond herself for the benefit of her countrymen. She is a strong independent thinker. Can we say the same for Obama?

    Despite her lack of experience in foreign affairs I believe that the strength she has in herself, her family support followed with ability to take a stand and not kowtow will enable her to handle foreign policy very well.

    Someone who accepts an assignment for self aggrandizement but totally disregards the fact that she will subject her pregnant, unmarried daughter to, not just snide remarks, but exposure on TV, in newspapers, and magazines over the whole world, shows more than toughness. It shows insensitivity in the nth degree.

    Did she discuss this with the daughter?

    How would YOU feel if YOU were an unmarried, pregnant seventeener standing on the world stage, while your mother announces that you’re pregnant. Sarah might be brilliant and have been a formidable mayor for Wasilla, have known how the handle the Alaskan curmudgeons, but I tell you, in my mind, this was NOT the time for her to accept this invitation to run for VP!

    McCain said he had been watching her for many years. Yes, that’s what he said. She has been governor for 18 months, and I find it difficult to believe that a US senator would keep an eye on Wasilla’s mayor unless, of course, he had seen some of her pictures fr one of the “miss” competitions.

    Lovisa, It is apparent that you watched the RNC convention on PBS tonight as your post is almost word for word those of a commentator.

    One could say that someone who accepts the nomination for president with all the sexual misconduct allegations in his past would subject your wife and child to enormous social pressure. Hillary and Chelsea weathered this ok didn’t they ?

    Accepting the role of VP of the Dem ticket, knowing full well that the arrest record of your daughter would be in the nations spotlight, did Biden consider that ?

    Sorry, but Palin’s relationship with her daughter, and what discussions she has had with her daughter, are in fact their business, and theirs alone.

    Have you ever thought that her daughter might have been not only okay with the idea, but supported it because she might be able to be a warning to other young women? Not everyone is looking out just for themselves. Speculation is just that, speculation. You are guessing and doing so just to support your position. It isn’t very becoming of you as someone could speculate (not a good thing) that you would not think of doing anything of higher good than look out for yourself if you were in the same position.

    I am voicing what I think I myself would feel, if I were put in such a position at 17. Yes, it’s speculation and guessing. Of course I have no idea of what mother/daughter talked about before the nomination. How could I?

    I find it somewhat doubtful that a seventeen would be so nobel as to put herself up as an example of what not to do.

I’m so glad I can do this for the higher good”. Might have happened. Yes?

    Also, I know nothing about Biden’s daughter because that has not been splashed over the front pages or hashed over on TV. I don’t believe there’s been any spotlight on her. I don’t know her age.

    I fail to see the analogy when it comes to Chelsea. She didn’t do anything wrong.

    Ok, it seems pretty clear from what I have seen around the Web that many of the Sarah Palin photos are Photoshopped. The bikini photo seems to be a definite forgery although the jury is still out on the miniskirt photo above.

    In any case, I can personally assure everyone that I would deeply, deeply regret if the circulation of Sarah Palin’s sexy photos was based on inaccurate source material. The impact of such inaccurate data is just too horrible to contemplate.

    That said, did anyone notice that totally bizarre moment at the convention when the Repubs applauded Bill Clinton for balancing the budget and all the other stuff he accomplished in office?

    The GOP has totally lost itself. It doesn’t know what it is anymore. It talks about the dignity of women and family and then posts photoshopped sex object pics of their potential first woman vice prez.

    I appreciate that you are decent enough to be the only one to respond anywhere remotely on topic. Now, if your pregnant 17 yo came to you and said “I’m preggo and I’m going to get married [next month]. . .” What time-frame would be appropriate? Would you help march her down to the courthouse that day if she wanted to? In a month? In a year? Only after she turns 18?

    Let’s say you even really like the guy. What time frame would you support your daughter in getting married? Would you encourage it? Would you tell her it was the right thing to do? Would you give it some time? Would you encourage her to think hard about the marriage aspect before hand?

    Would you announce to the country that your pregnant 17 yo is going to marry the father?

    I’m seriously just asking out of curiosity.

    While you might not see a 17 year old as being able to say they could help others not follow their path, I have seen just that happen. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen. Those that do exactly that should be praised, not for what they did wrong, but for not trying to cover up what they did wrong but admitting to it, and wanting to do what is right. While I could wish for young women to remain chaste in the first place, there are many that see that they are not just one person once they become pregnant, but that there are two people wherever they go. Rather than add to sin, the are willing to admit to the error, have the baby, and start down the right path. There isn’t a lot of hope for keeping such a decision to do what is right secret — eight months into a pregnancy and it is hard to hide what is happening. Going from that point the small distance to I might be able to help someone else is not that big a step.

    If my daughter was with child, and the guy was willing to marry her, what is the time frame? Good question. OK. As soon as possible. Small wedding, immediate family only. Both sides one would hope. This is not the time to arrange for a big wedding. The reason is practical. Those two, soon to be three, will need every dime for something other than a frilly wedding.

    Taking into account the economic realities of such a situation I would probably offer some help. I would hope that the new in laws would do the same. The trouble with this situation really begins after the baby comes. Babies are expensive.

    As the baby IS my grandchild, and my daughter remains my daughter, and since both she and the young man in question have up to now shown poor judgment, I will try to help w/o being overly intrusive into the day to day working of THEIR family.

    As for the announcement, that is the least of my worries. The baby, the new couple, all that will be announcement enough.

    There are so many young 17 years olds that are in the same position.

    For you to slam the Palin family is just wrong. It’s a fact that young people will have sex, been going on for centuries. This does not mean that life ends for the daughter and the family. They seem to be a strong and supportive towards each other. What would you do for a daughter in this position?

    What I feel you fail to notice is the honest and direct way Sarah Palin has handled this family matter. To the point, she has not hid the fact her daughter is expecting but stated that it is a family matter. It should remain so.

    For you to be judge and jury makes me question your compassion and understanding.

    It is a matter that does not involve the world’s opinion and disection.

    Lovisa, I just recently found out that my grandmother was in a “family way” before she married my grandfather in the 1930’s. They got married when she was 17 and he was 20, had 4 kids and were the loves of each other’s lives. Funny how these things were “handled” in the 1930’s – oh wait, that is how Bristol Palin is trying to handle her pregancy!

    Cmac, this is why I think this whole thing is going to blow up big time in their faces. They are not just taking shots at Sarah and Bristol, they are taking shots at the millions of other families that have also faced this.

    Something that the libs just don’t seem to get, it’s not the mistake that defines you, it’s what you do about it that matters most.

    Take Obama, he had a choice between listening to anti-American drivel from Rev. Wright for many, many years, He had the choice to get up and walk away, or sit there applauding like everyone else. He chose the latter, and this act is what defines him.

    Me, I think it is a very refreshing change to see a candidate who has to make the same tough life choices that we do. Contrast that with the choices that the Dem candidates have had to make, “What should the title of my book be ?”, or “Harvard or Yale ?”, or “private jet or commercial airline?”.

    Having been pregnant at 16 and having a neice who was pregnant at 17, I can tell you that I SERIOUSLY doubt this young lady wanted ANYBODY to know. She probably wished that she didn’t even have to tell her parents much less the WORLD!! Both myself and my neice, wanted to hide from the world. I wound up losing my child and at that time, I was not sad about it at all. On the other hand, my neice went through the whole pregnancy and didn’t even want to leave the house to go the doctor and this was 2 years ago so we’re talking about a teenager of today. So now we should believe that this 17 year old is happy to be on TV showing the whole world that she made a mistake – I think not. This is my concern with Mrs. Palin – she put her ambition before her daughter. I can guarantee that if you were a fly on the wall of their house, you would find that the mother and daughter are not on good terms.

    I admire Sarah being out front and not trying to hide her family. The fact is that all families have teenagers that have screwed up in one way or another. So you reach out to them and stand by them when they need it. Sarah is lucky in one regard. Most teens would have gotten an abortion through a school supplied abortion clinic. Sarah would not have known it had her daughter and boyfriend not shared the fact with her. Sarah has embraced her and the boy and not resorted to hiding her away and shaming her. The deed is done and you support your kids decision and move on.

    I think that Sara and her daughter have a great relationship. My own daughter was pregnant before marriage and married the guy. We love our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. The grandson is 2 1/2 now and the apple of our eyes. His mom and dad are trying to get pregnant again.

    If you find yourself in Bristol’s position, give your parrients a chance. Why wouldn’t they support your decision.

    I think I have grown from our decisions and I think the country will be better off if we leave those kids alone.

    I wouldn’t want ANY government leader who has never had any “real” life experiences. I would imagine everyone posting or even reading this blog has a skeleton or two in the closet. If not… get a life! Skeleton’s are good character builders. If what I see on the internet is the worst anyone can dig up on her, she’s got a huge lead on most politicians already.

    Looks can be deceiving. When I first saw her, I was not impressed. Looks like a Barbie Doll! After listening to her speak and doing a little research on the internet, I’ve changed my mind. She’s exactly what this country needs, a second seater with just as much balls as the first seater!!!

    I absolutely love the analogy by The Oath. McCain certainly came to know those “telephone poles” in Vietnam, otherwise known as Russian SAM’s. Smart idea of his to launch one up Obama’s tailpipe. And all Obama could come up with was old Iowa Caucus 1% and gaffe-prone Joe Biden.

    Obama certainly appears to be having a devil of a time taking any elusive actions on his own. Looks like his people are resorting to all kinds of underhanded electronic countermeasures through the internet, the biased media, and any other sneaky tactic they can devise. Haven’t heard of so much BS since Tammany Hall tried to take on the reformers in New York City over a century ago.

    jimhancockproductions dot com my vote would be it’s a genuine photograph, based on the fact that
    the crisp lighting comes from the right (camera mounted flash), it’s consistent with the face and body, the shadow falls left, the catch light in her eyes is consistent with this. And a quick google of Sarah Palin’s legs….. looks like hers….. she looks great.
