I would agree with the observation that W isn’t a conservative. W is a Republican. One is an idealogy, the other is a club. Many conservatives are Republicans, but not all.

Conservatism has kind of been muddied lately, in my own personal opinion. I call myself a conservative, but because I believe in the preservation of Constitutional rights, a reasonable-sized government and the dignity of the individual versus “the collective” and what it wants. W is not a conservative. He’s espoused some very non-conservative view points. Many parts of the Patriot Act were over-the-top. I’d rather be free than feel safe at all times. And W getting on the TV and pushing his bailout was certainly not something I agreed with because if you believe in individual rights, then you must also believe in individual responsibility. That, and I think the market would have done better to correct itself.

Hey and LOL, but, if the Euroweenies want Obama (and it sure sounds like they do), that’s reason enough for me to vote against him right there!

Do you write hymns for children in praise of Obama? Have you ever been an attendee or a counselor at Camp Obama? Do you read Saul Alinsky for inspiration? Were you among the street rioters in Minneapolis? Did you have posters of Che Guevara on the walls of your dorm room? Ever contemplate cutting sugar cane in Cuba? Do you follow instructions from the “Leader” about getting into other people’s faces or registering voters regardless of their legal eligibility to vote? Have you ever had any experience in the real world outside of VCU and Richmond? To know things like that would really help.

There is one thing for certain here. Uncle Joe Stalin was NOT a “real” communist. Those communists I have met can be placed generally into two categories: (a) the fools who believe all the drivel put out by Karl Marx and his academic successors; and (b) those who take advantage of the fools who believe all the drivel put out by Karl Marx and his academic successors. Uncle Joe was definitely one of the latter, to the everlasting sorrow of millions, communist and non-communist.
