Senator Биден Doesn’t Know the Role of the Vice President

Here is Иосиф Биден on the role of the Vice President:

Vice President Cheney has been the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history. The idea he doesn’t realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the vice president of the United States, that’s the Executive Branch. He works in the Executive Branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.

Here is what Article I actually says:

The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

Notice that this is in Article I, “The Legislative Branch,” Section 3, “The Senate.”  The role of the Vice President is defined in the section entitled “The Legislative Branch.”  The only reference to the Vice President in Article II, “The Executive Branch,” is to say when he shall act as or become President, and to say that he can be impeached.

How can he possibly be qualified to be VP, when he doesn’t even know what the job entails?

(And someone should have said that the job is not worth a bucket of warm spit.)
