Gwen Ifill: Palin “blew me off”

Author | joe | Posted on | October 5, 2008 | 15 Comments

Oh, the humanity.

I sincerely hope this story gets out … perhaps via the mainstream media itself? Is it too much to hope for? That Gwen Ifill feels she was disrespected in her journalistic greatness?

Because what little else we know about John Q. Public, we can be certain that John Q. will wholeheartedly relish the notion that Sarah Barracuda made the PBS “journalist” feel put out.

Testify, Gwen, shout it from the rooftops.

Is she worried that Obama One may not be able to deliver on the book deal money, now?

She has whole lot at stake, for sure. The “Age of Obama” if Obama loses is a completely different age than if he wins. If he loses and she has written the book as though he wins, it goes straight to the budget bin.

Yes, Yes gosh darn it! Wink Wink! I tell you this, McCain better watch out, this woman wants it all and most conservatives only see McCain as a place holder anyway. She has been Blessed by the laying on of hands from a Holy Servant of God himself, and the power of evil witches has been stopped. She is one of us normal, pentecostal, witch hunting, not too bright common folks, God love Her! Just a normal family with a knocked up daughter, a shotgun wedding a Son who joined the Military to avoid being prosecuted and sent to jail, and this Woman is the Conservative Dream come true! Just Like Hitler was a Brown haired Brown eyed Austrian, and preached to the Germans about the Blond haired Blue eyed Race being superior, both the conservatives and the Germans eat this stuff up, Sheep who think not with their own brains but only listen to pill popping, Viagra eating, three times divorced Rush Limbaugh as someone to tell their kids to be like and get their opinions from, because of being too lazy to think for themselves. You know nothing about this woman or how she would govern, you only hope to win for your party, and do not even think about the country or the shit hole that George Bush and company have put us in. He is YOUR MAN from Your party, and you are so ashamed of him you do not mention that he even exists and run from him, and dare not mention his name… good luck running from your own self.

oh wouldn’t you know there you go Joe. Lookin backward when those Mavricks are all set to move forward! (apparently by rehashing the good ol’ turbulent ’60s, now)

A few days ago you were sayin Ifill did a good job, n now you’re goin and, puttin her down, n referrin to her as a “journalist” in quotations n everythin else, don’t ya know. I know all this republican schizophrenia must be takin it’s toll on ya, but golly you’re better than that, Joe!

speakin of republican schizophrenia, taday I was watchin the news, n they aired an ad from the RNC that blamed the whole bailout deal on Obama and his liberal spend-yer-tax-dollar ways (ya know the one I’m talkin about? with the meltin wallstreet signs n all) n a few minutes later they showed another ad from the McCain campaign that was goin on n on about the bailout bein a great example of McCain’s super leadership abilities n all!!! (I tried to find a video clip on the youtube there but I didn’t see one) Can someone explain that one to me?

I know that John and Sara have given up on us over here in Michigan, but if they’re still goin to be airin ads, ya’d think they’d at least make sure they had a consistent message! We’re all confused like BM over here don’t ya know!

Well ya do a pretty good job makin’ light of the northern folks there, Marshmallow, but I wonder if ya really get ta know your neighbors, the way you’re talkin’. Dontcha think they have scruples about PBS and such?

As if Mooseburger wasn’t enough! Now we’ve got Stay Puft Marshmallow Man claiming he’s a Michigander. Hmmm…well, maybe he comes from Detroit. That would explain a lot of things.

Moose, what’s that about only wanting to win for a party, and not knowing how someone will govern?

    Pretty heavy projection, burger.

Obama is a much bigger gilded question mark in the top spot than Palin is at supporting cast.

I think I will cry me a river for Ifill. As for the Burgers and Marshmallows, I think a campfire will warm them up.

Mooseburger and SPaMM, you guys should sit down, have a bottle of pop, and chill out.

You guys can’t lay the failures of your Dem controlled congress at Bush’s feet. As we say here, that dog won’t hunt..

    “puttin her down”

Stating facts that Ifill would very likely agree to herself, is putting her down ? Get a grip..

So gwen felt ignored, huh? I thought it was pretty funny that everytime Biden answered a question, he was usually gazing at gwenny and at the end, he always looked at Ifil like a kid looking at his mother for support/admiration/confirmation. The libs weren’t worried about the abysmal behavior directed toward Palin from Gibson; why should conservatives worry about Ifil? When her Obama book fails, she can put this episode in her autobiography.

I’ve had enough. The dems have controlled congress for 2 years. Bush has been in office for nearly 8 years, and had a rep congress for 6 of those, having already controlled congress for 6 years at that point. Remember?

so, over the past 2 administrations, here’s the score:

    Pres: Dems-8, Reps-8
    Cong: Dems-4, Reps-12
    Total: Dems-12, Reps-20

now, which party has had more control over national policies over the course of the past 16 years? You want to tell me that the dems ruined everything in 2 years?

In the other thread Jacob just commented that “It takes time for bad ideas to bear bad fruit.” You can’t both be right. So which is it?

“Wolverine” et al. Say what you want about D-town, the North still won! I see no one had the balls to answer my question about why are they airing ads that directly contradict each other. They are talking out of both sides of their mouths. If the dow had gone up today they’d be saying that finally the reps were able to pass a bill that the country needed, even though Polosi was being mean to them!

know what I think the root cause is? Alzheimers.

Stay Puft, it looks from here like you’re repeating yourself. Isn’t that a sign of Alzheimers? Oh, I see now. You dropped the reference to the NY Times. Well, well, well, there may be hope for you after all!

Last March, NASA reported the oceans have been cooling for the last five years. Sea level has stopped rising, and Northern Hemisphere cyclone and hurricane activity is at a 24-year low.

Environmental extremists and global warming alarmists are in denial and running for cover. Their rationale for continuing a lost cause is that weather events in the short term are not necessarily related to long-term climatic trends. But these are the same people who screamed at us each year that ordinary weather events such as high temperatures or hurricanes were undeniable evidence of imminent doom.

Now that global warming is over, politicians are finally ready to enact dubious solutions to a non-existent problem. In Britain, Parliament is intrepidly forging ahead with a bold new plan to cool the climate, even as London experienced its first October snowfall since 1934 and Ireland went through the coldest October in the last 70 years.

This is an absurd spectacle. Our advanced civilization is being systematically mismanaged by technologically illiterate lawyers responding to political pressures from irrational fanatics. Would someone please tell these people it is impossible to overturn the laws of thermodynamics?
