Hannity Interviews McCain/Palin

For those that did not catch this post debate interview, it can be seen on the Hannity and Colmes page at FOXNews.

This is a good interview, and I would really like to see McCain speak with this clarity and focus during the final debate.

Tonight we heard the wagging tongues of the various “conservative talk radio pundits” meander from referring to Senator Obama as first a Socialist, then a Communist, a few allusions to the early days of the Third Reich and to top it off, a guest on Coast-to-Coast offered that, “As a scholar of prophecy, (he) would be remiss not to point out that Obama has many of the hallmark characteristics of the Anti-Christ!”

Apparently, our GOP is out of ideas and can no longer offer any real solutions, so the final days of the campaign will be spent on an escalating series of smears and lies.

Also, today, an email was sent out from someone in the Party, soliciting volunteers for an upcoming appearance by Palin. Some responses came back that basically said that the person would not volunteer because Palin was a lousy candidate, had a record of abuse in office, etc. This re-affirmed the belief that many in the GOP have had since McCain hooked his cart to Palin in the first place; he basically killed our chances of winning by selecting that airhead.

The bottom line is that our GOP has not made an effective case based on real ideas and real solutions that could convince voters that Republicans should retain control of the Presidency.

For the good of the USA, I hope the Obama administration is wildly successful for the next four years. He will surely face a re-invigorated GOP opposition, hopefully with a libertarian-Republican ticket in 2012.

    J. Tyler Ballance, does your definition of Sarah Pallin as an “airhead” come from an in-depth personal acquaintance with her or a thorough, professional study of every aspect of her life and words? I doubt if it is either. Why do you let your unbridled anger lead you into such name-calling? It serves nothing except to destroy immediately the weight of any argument you may have.

Over the past few weeks, I have made it a point to read the public comments that follow political articles in many leading U.S. publications. I have never seen such vitriol, most of it aimed at Pallin and her family, as well as at John McCain. We seem to have devolved from a nation of rational thinkers and debaters to nothing better than nonsensical name callers in a schoolyard. Pallin and her oldest daughter have been called names that I and most others would not use even toward a common streetwalker. One fellow, a voiciferous Obama supporter, actually suggested that the only place John McCain belonged was “back in the dungeon.” How could any American of whatever political persuasion even think such a thing, much less voice it in public?

Americans seem to have forgotten how to discuss differences without spitting out unseemly and unjustified hatred. It’s only a short road from there to doing actual physical violence to each other in the name of our political beliefs. What a damn shame for this nation.

Zimzo — that’s beautiful liberal B.S. Accusing a journalist of being anti-semitic because he interviewed an anti-semite?

O’Bama, however, has had a political alliance with Bill Ayers — the STILL unrepentant terrorist — for years.

    There’s no comparison there.

Wow – breaking news. SOMEONE in THE PARTY – that is solid, man. I can’t believe you got that low-down. Thanks for the tip, we will all abandon Palin now, since SOMEONE said something that was so well documented.

Whew! I came “this close” to embarrassing myself by supporting that Palin woman, Thanks JTB.

If you are a Liberal, please watch the following so that you can prepare for the the worst case scenario – McCain/Palin wins:

Could someone please forward this to Alec Baldwin?

Words shouted at Palin rallys recently directed at the democratic presidential candidate:

    Traitor!
    Off with his head!
    Kill him!
    Sit down, boy!

Will we get to burning effigies soon?

“Will we get to burning effigies soon?”

we already have, don’t you watch the news coverage of leftist anarchists protesting ?

  8. dans says:

“Apparently, our GOP is out of ideas and can no longer offer any real solutions”

Yes, this is why the GOP has based their platform almost word for word upon that of McGovern and Dukakis.

  9. Wolverine says:

Burkenator, the burning of effigies would only be an interim thing. Eventually we all may retrogress to that unfortunate period when harsh words were followed by a challenge with pistols at 20 paces — or swords, whichever the challenged individual preferred.

Whatever the case, there are far too many on both sides of this sorry modern equation who have passed beyond the pale of civilized behavior. I fully expect that the Halls of Congress may eventually see an imitation of what we have witnessed on occasion in the Japanese Diet and the Russian Duma: hand-to-hand combat.

This country seems to be in a period of anything goes, with no true accountability for words or actions. Those who do not like what we have become may well start to tune out completely, sort of like Rome after the republic became an empire.

  10. edmundburkenator says:

Wolverine. Agreed. Accountability is gone. Civil debate is increasingly rare and intellectual curiosity is discouraged.

    “….pistols at 20 paces …”

    Did someone say pistols ?
