First, destroy the economy by creating government corporations that separate risk from reward in the mortgage lending. Then, force banks to make bad loans and have the government corporations buy some of them. (But not all, because you want the banks to collapse too. You just need enough to control the market.) When you have driven the housing market to sky-high prices, let the bottom fall out. The government will have to bail out the banks, and in doing so, the government can take over the banks as a condition for doing so. Even better, put up a sock-puppet for President just as you engineer the collapse, blame the collapse on the other party so you get the sock-puppet elected, and you control the Presidency, too.

Addendum: I neglected to mention one critical part of the plan — take over the public school system to create a populace too ignorant of economics and history to understand what you are doing.

I differ a bit.
It was not a plan, plans require intelligence.
It was however a perfect example of the law of unintended consequences meeting head on with those ignorant of cause and effect.
This is the well worn road to hell, you know the one paved by those foolish enough to try and engineer outcomes.
I am not so sure this was not a “plan” discussed by the likes of Ayers and the woman whose name escapes me now, employed by the Chicago chapter of ACORN, who sued to stop bank mergers unless loans were made to neighborhoods she claimed were redlined. Force banks to make bad loans, set it up so that banks can quickly make their profit on any old bad loan, make greed easy by rewarding bad loans. Ayers has been preaching the overthrow of capitalism for decades, and he was behind the radicalization of ACORN. Violence failed to bring us down, but this plan has worked–Ayers is not a washed up old terrorist, he is a very dangerous and very brilliant militant, who has figured out how to win, how to topple us from within: Let us be complacent, blending in, and making us think it would come in a bomb, in a suitcase, in a car filled with explosives–a plan to empower and entitle the poor, to let us make money, knowing it was not right, but relying on natural individual greed and corporate greed to accelerate the problem unsustainably. Even Bush was worried about it, and tried to fix it…. I think Obama is a dangerous front man, with a dangerous agenda, has been taught by dangerous people, and we do not really know who he is, no record of courage, would not pledge allegiance to our flag, had a problem wearing a flag pin,,, far left friends, father a radical Muslim, many other extreme radical ties. All you democrats, trust Joe Leiberman, support McCain, someone known, and undeniably a true patriot.
Take over the public schools? You slipping? Public schools are run and dictated by the NEA-the teachers liberal arm. I think even Brian might be a closet-radical teacher.

Tidbit: Wade Ranthke started ACORN. He was in the SDS with William Ayers and Carl Davidson. Coincidence, huh? More like a Master Plan.

They (Obama) just figured out a way to effectively accomplish this stunt, too.
What you do is: Pull a moritorium on foreclosures so that people won’t have any incentive to pay their mortgages… thereby depriving the banks of much needed capitalization. In short order, the banks will simply fall.
