That&#039;s an interesting question, and I would have to answer that by saying it depends upon several things, most importantly how far the Constitution is overstepped, and the effect of this upon the citizens. When you say a socialist government, do you mean increased taxes, or 10s of millions slaughtered in the street ?</description>

Although the North wanted armed conflict to me THEIR needs, they also didn&#039;t want the slaves freed and moving up north.  Talk about hypocrits!  That said, is it treason to take states&#039; rights and disolve ties with the US when that same said US is not adhereing to the articles of the Constitution that individual states had agreed upon.  And that took how many years of a process with massive skeptecism about this newly formed CENTRAL government?  Alec Baldwin my ass!

Now, would you be willing to overthrow a socialist government (armed insurrection/second revolution) if it overstepped its bounds of the current Constitution?  Where is the breaking point for you in re-taking America and upholding its&#039; sovereignty?</description>

Old farts like us know that &quot;almost&quot; only counts in horseshoes.. There are various historical perspectives on the North/South conflict.  One I read recently was that the initial reaction of the North was ok, let them go. This was the peaceful succession part.

This lasted until they remembered that southern ports were tariff free, unlike their New England counterparts. This was a problem, we can&#039;t let them go. This began the armed rebellion part.

The Constitution defines how autonomous states will unify and peacefully coexist, with each other, and a new central government.

But I agree in principle with you act, up until the succession part.

Keep in mind free market always win, socialism can hide things temporarily (by over leveraging or crushing the population through taxes -look at the EU countries their banks where leveraged ~ 40/1 as opposed to FDIC 15/1 requirements here) but in the end it&#039;s a hollow promise. 

But hey maybe they know something I don&#039;t, and maybe (come Nov) they&#039;ll get a chance to prove me wrong.... :) Carter worked wonderfully for the left :P</description>
