A Great Day For Man And The Start Of A Great Era For Mankind

All I can say is, it’s about time.

Finally, common sense has triumphed over ideology and Americans will get the government they deserve. After eight long years of mismanagement a light has arisen, and we can see a way out of our long national nightmare.

We have before us a new era of hope and change, an era in which the petty politics of the past will be transcended for the old and the young and people of every ethnic group and political persuasion.

It’s about time the poor among us got a fair shake in the world. It’s about time those who have most benefited from America’s privileges gave something back. And it’s about time our nation showed the rest of the world that we, the citizens of the United States, are their partners and not their enemies or their superiors.

Congratulations to Barack Obama and the congressional Democrats.

Joe, when you get your head out of your ass let us all know.

The only thing we can be sure of about Barack Obama’s presidency is that NOBODY knows what it will bring. Not even Obama. Certainly not his supporters. If his past is any guide, it will bring a constitutional crisis because his proposed tax policies and his expressed political views are closer to Lenin and Pol Pot than anything we have experienced previously in America.

God help us if he makes good on his promise to create a “National Civilian Security Force” with a budget equivilent to that of the US military. Forgive us if this conjures up visions of brownshirts, or possibly the Black Panthers or Muslim Brotherhood with a government-sponsored office in every community in America.

    Yes, God help us.

  2. “Not God bless American! God damn America!” It may be coming to pass.

The problem is that there isn’t anywhere else in the world to flee.

  3. Kevin says:

Joe, I think your sarcasm was lost on Frank there. Still, you give Obama and his voters too much credit. While it is an historic win, he is just President, not God.

You did get, however, the 8 years of mismanagement absolutely spot on. The repubs killed their own party, for now.

  4. joe says:

This moment is too precious for sarcasm, my cynical friend.

  5. The government they deserve is the problem Joe. What they deserve is not something I would want. We have voted to rob from the rich and give to the poor. Robin Hood was only painted as a hero, but stealing is stealing. Prince John (Bush) was a scum, but King Richard was no sweetheart either.

Like I said in one of my posts, I’ll probably wind up with more not less (other than my retirement disappearing) with Obama in office. I already get a refund from federal taxes with nothing paid into federal taxes, and all of that with utmost honesty.

I, for one, welcome our new communists overlords, in hope of being eaten last……

  7. Frank says:

We now have a president who could not qualify for a TS security clearance. Nice work, America.

  8. el jefe the student says:

    :-) thumbs up

  9. zimzo says:

I think this is the first post here I’ve ever whole-heartedly agreed with. Thanks for everything you guys at this blog and other conservative blogs did to make Obama’s victory possible and especially for helping deliver Virginia to him. Your plan to appear so crazy and negative that people would be convinced to support Obama worked. America thanks you.

  10. Had Enough says:

Joe is practicing the censorship of speech, one-sided, nothing against the king to prevent prosecution.

  11. Frank says:

Joe is a tool, damn his soul.

  12. Welcome back, H.E.! Guess we have to agree to disagree.

  13. Wolverine says:

There you go again, Zimzo! Cannot even find it in your heart to be magnanimous in victory.

  14. Lovisa says:

I hope that all of you miserable, negative bloggers listened to John McCain’s concession speech tonight. It was magnificent, and he very firmly put the kabosh on some in the audience who started to boo, when he mentioned his opponents name.

Take to heart what he said. It’ll sooth your acid churning stomachs.

Brian comes over as a very miserable person; always crabbing; always anti. May God help you to find something good in life.

  15. Wolverine says:

Doggone it, Lovisa! We just had an intelligent conversation on internet courtesy, and you turn around and break your own rules in post No. 14! See you tomorrow after we’ve all had some sleep. It’s been a long campaign…much, much too long.

  16. Lovisa says:

    Wolverine,

All this negativism keeps me awake, darn it, but you’re right. I need to go to bed. Thanks for your gentle
    slap !

  17. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man says:

    :D

Joe, WhAAAA??? I’m going to go ahead and assume that you’re being serious. Yeah. It was a good fight, McCain is a great American, just not the right guy for the moment.

The rest of y’all, everything is going to be OK.
Why not try assuming that everything ISN’t going straight to hell? How about you give the benefit of the doubt for a minute and see what happens?

  18. Had Enough says:

Thanks Joe, I have had a rough time, maybe I should have put my medical emergencies off until Obama puts his divine health care plan in effect.

  19. sally says:

2/3 of the vote for Obama was under 30 years of age. Most college kids loved getting their “stimulus” checks this year, and I am sure the Obama supporters are looking forward to more free money soon.

One interesting thing, Loudoun County resoundingly voted down the meals tax–so Loudouners don’t want to pay any more to eat out! I do believe there is a mandate for Obama to cut taxes now…

  20. Warren says:

Yes, America is finally getting the government it deserves.

  21. Moon Unit says:

Some of you guys, especially zimzo and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, are TOTALLY radical ! Are the two of you from California like me ?

Me and some friends are going to rent Martin’s West In Baltimore to throw a big Obama celebration, drink, eat (some!), and watch my collection of Obama youtube videos on the big screen. Should be an awesome party. I’ll post the dates here so you supporters can come !

  22. Kevin says:

sally, you are baffling in your out-of-touchness.

  23. ACTivist, says:

“I hope that all of you miserable, negative bloggers listened to John McCain’s concession speech tonight.”

Are you having a hissy-fit NoVisa? Why be made at us when you are about to get everything you always wished for. What’s that? No, I don’t mind paying for it because I know that when my job disappears and my funds do the same, YOU will be there to give me the necessary aid, right?

Oh, btw. I never voted for McCain as my party candidate and Osama-bama will never be my president-just like Clinton wasn’t. I only have to uphold the Constitution….I’m not in the military so I owe the president NO alligiance. Just the country.

  24. ACTivist, says:

    Joe,

I love ya buddy. You know that but I am going to have to agree with Frank on this one. What has Obama done to deserve due-win an election? Easy part is over.

  25. Moon says:

OMG Frank, Joe is a tool ? Shouldn’t you ask Mrs. Joe about that ? ;)

  26. dans says:

“I hope that all of you miserable, negative bloggers listened to John McCain’s concession speech tonight.”

Yes, and I hope some of the GOP McCain supporters listened as well..

  27. sally says:

Anyone who disagrees or expresses an opinion opposite of yours is “miserable” and ‘unhappy”–nice attempt to suppress differences! Just call names, and try to bully people! Did you get your Obama paycheck yet? If not, then you may not want to invest any more time in your disinformation and intimidation blogs!
