What employer would hire someone without being able to check out the job-seekers college records?

nobody? I know where I work does EXTENSIVE background checks especially around college transcripts and professional certs. These two items are some of biggest lies found on resume’s.
I’m so old that in my days HR was called the employment office. IMO human resources are, like, talents and brains, sense of humor, compassion, joie de vivre….
