Rainbows In Northern Virginia
November 16th, 2008 by joe
This was the scene yesterday afternoon from the side of the Dulles Toll Road:

But wait, there’s more. The rainbow in Northern Virginia yesterday was actually a double rainbow.

I have not seen that anywhere except Hawaii before.

Great pics, yesterday seemed so gloomy but I am glad you found the rainbow.

Joe, you need to get outside more! I’ve seen those quite often. Pretty cool nevertheless.

The most spectacular I’ve seen was a triple. The day I gave my first wife her engagement ring, it was raining, damp and drizzly. When the sun came out, we stopped at an overlook, and I gave her the ring and the sun had just came out–it was spectacular. The sun was shining bright, the rainbows were brilliant, bright and just discernible. Ever after, while she lived, we used to “claim” all rainbows as “our” sign from God.
That was a wonderful marriage, and the life we had together could not have been better. God had blessed us.

Brian, that was a beautiful story.
