Happy Thanksgiving!

We all have much to be thankful for.  Just living in the United States makes us some of the most blessed people in the world.  Today, give thanks to God, who has provided us such blessings in this life and who has promised us blessings greater than we can imagine in the next.

  1. Thanks to you also Jack.

To be thankful, we need to have someone to thank. So many people want to be thankful on this holiday, but have no idea of who it is they should thank. Ultimately, it is God that deserves our thanks — everything good we have comes from him, even the drive to do well and earn a living is not something we have ourselves because of how great we are, it is a reflection of his nature.

    Talk about a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

On 28-29 November 2008, eight high school football teams from the west side of Michigan, including four schools from Muskegon County alone, went to the state championship finals at Ford Field in Detroit. ALL EIGHT OF THEM BROUGHT HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS. They had a combined 2008 season record of 108 wins and 4 losses (3 of them to each other). Four of the teams went undefeated, including Muskegon High School, an inner-city school which had only two returning starters from 2007.

To heck with the economy. To heck with the high unemployment rate. To heck with the perils of the Michigan auto industry. Some mighty good people along the shores of Lake Michigan had a wonderful holiday weekend.
