It’s like everything is personal with you guys, and even the gals.
So what are you even doing here? Isn’t there a blog for whiners who can’t find a point to make that is relevant? I wonder Phil Gramm visited this place before he slipped and called Americans complainers. I wonder if there are a lot of serious people in this town who came here once thinking this blog was about something and you chased them off.
I see that you actually used to have meetings until a couple years ago. What happened?
I know what happened, the same thing that always happens when something attracts attention. It goes well at first until an inner core of idiots establishes themselves as the governing body that decides who is in and who is out. It’s like what happens with middle school chick clicks where the ones who are most insecure create this inpenetratable circle that they only let in other like them, or those who want to fall behind them in a social pecking order.
But then as college ends and everyone goes out into the work force, there are still those who never got to be stuck up snobs because they were the ones who were never allowed into the inner circles, and then there are those that never grow out of this kind of childish behavior. They go onto join groups like this and establish themselves in positions of power where they get to be the ones who are stupid and weird right out where everyone can see them but they have no conscience about what they do because have the support of their cult following.
One of you said it best when you claimed I have too strong of an ego. That’s when I figured out you were a cult. That’s what cults do, attack the individual to try to break them down so they feel isolated and vulnerable. Then they befriend them, of course with the condition that they believe as taught based on faith in principles that although would not make sense to the rest of the world, is believed by the followers. But followers of who? It must be Rush Limbaugh.
I encounter this stupid shit whenever I get near groups that call themselves conservatives. But I know a lot of conservative minded people and they don’t have a social disorder that requires they act like assholes 24/7. So this must be the problem with the conservative movement, every time someone starts a campaign towards actually practicing conservative principles like our forefather inspired us to, you smucks take over the front and center of the “arena of ideas” and chase everyone away with your bugger/fart ideologies. Hmm. That’s good to know.
Digging a little deeper, if my memory recalls, this is what lead to the downfall of the liberal movement, the crushing of new ideas, one sided debates, wacky ideas meant more to prove who is loyal enough to follow them, stupid shit like that. So Rush has inspired a generation of activists who combat brainwashing with brainwashing, which did get rid of those ridiculous liberals. But no one thought to reach back into the ranks and deprogram you guys. So you are like Japanese soldiers stuck on islands in the south pacific who think the war is still being fought.
But then Rush thinks this is so himself, which means he is leading an army of misfits and robots against a liberal movement that not only doesn’t exist anymore, their forces have regrouped while learning from their past mistakes. Now they’re building a new arsenal of weapons using new technologies while you’re left in old trenches on fields that the battle moved on from years ago. And you are using the weapons that they lost the previous war with. This is fascinating, a remarkable observation of historical socio human events.
It’s like what’s going on with the world’s economy. The US has always stayed in the lead many leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else because we learned the secret truth to how to build a the most powerful economic force in the world from our forefathers, integrity and transparency. So we’ve always stayed ahead of everyone else because the core of how the rest of them do business is corrupt. Now the core of how we do business is also corrupt. But we have traditionally been less corrupt than the rest while doing a better job of hiding the crimes our leaders commit in the financial markets.
But now the rest of the world is starting to figure it out. I think India let the cat out of the bag when they saw their markets surge every time they applied a new integrity driven transparent and straight forward policy. Now everyone is following suit which is having the effect of exposing our weaknesses as they catch up with us. Fascinating.
This blog is like a microcosm of the world’s economy, a historical antiquity. You should all stay just the way you are so we can build a museum around NOVATownHall.com.
I’m going over to the other side today. The BAR is a great rifle but think I might do better with some newer smarter technologies.
I’m a proud member of the “Cult of Joe.” I guess I can put the popcorn away.
Actually, the liberals are the one and only reason that this country is in the trash can today, starting with giving Chappaquiddick Teddy so much sympathy power since the 60’s when they opened the floodgates.
Liberals love Globalism, International Law, Illegal Aliens, and anything else that threatens to destroy our Soverniety
Wonder what he really means by “the other side”?
I was never really sure what this blog was, what was the glue holding the concept together, since the old NOVA Townhall group sort of morphed into Help Save Loudoun, and after the run from 2004 to 2008 the whole monthly group meeting deal was put to bed.
But I have to say, “cult” has a nice ring to it. I think I’d make a good swami or bodhisattva or whatever.
You want a blog for whiners ? Here it is..

Did I leave a lock of hair at your house last time I visited ? I have been acting a little weird since then..
“Wonder what he really means by ‘the other side’?”
I think he means he’s going to fire up a couple of pounds of marijuana and dip his cigarettes in PCP this time before he drops his next dose of liquid acid.
“It goes well at first until an inner core of idiots establishes themselves as the governing body that decides who is in and who is out.”
Actually, Fontaine, it’s that darned capitalism you hate: Joe pays the bills and does the work to maintain the blog, so Joe decides who is in and who is out. And he let you post here. Go figure.
The US has stayed ahead because we did not penalize success by taking from the industrious and giving to the lazy.
“I encounter this stupid shit whenever I get near groups that call themselves conservatives.”
Take the hint BF: it’s you, not them.
See ya in the funny papers!
Do we start calling Joe ‘the exalted one’? Oh wait the Democrats already gave that name to Obama.
Cathy, it’s like the people who have been divorced three or for times and blame it on their spouses.
After reading Bobby’s site one has to ask the question,Bobby where did you park your Spaceship?
Somebody needs to photoshop Joe’s picture with a halo, crown, wings or some other such accoutrement so that we can properly view him as “Our Leader”.
A beanie or special ball cap might suffice.
A photo with an AK, beret and bandolier would be more joe me thinks..
Dan, Good idea – someone please use your creative talents!
Are you kidding me? I go on vacation to take care of personnal business and come back to someone who is allowed to write on our site so that he can trash our beliefs frontally?
Bobby boy-conservatism is the concept that when something works you just don’t arbitrarily fix it. It also means that you stay within the guidelines set forth and stop bending the law to get your way. Liberals are full of “new” ideas that go from concept to inactment. Forget about the drawing board, refinement, trial and error-that’s for wussies! And “when” (not if) it doesn’t work, they find someone convienient to blame plus ask for more money to take it in a new direction.
This class of whiner that you are talking about seems to be anyone that questions YOUR beliefs and understanding. We use dialog and debate (and sometimes name-calling when you are just being an ass) but that doesn’t curtail “free-thinking” on anyones part. Both sides may stay entrenched with their beliefs after a discussion and that is okay. We already have enough idiots that are angry with us for not bowing to their beliefs.
Joe is the ultimate power of this site. You got login to write and I guess the Bud-man was just duped. Usually he is on top of his game but I guess that extra-curricular activities have distracted him. Hopefully he has seen the error of his ways and will post-haste excommunicate you from this site. I won’t see you on the otherside because I don’t use the dark side of the force. You had your say….now go away!
And please seek professional help — perhaps your mother’s insurance will cover it.
G, go the home page for where his letters are hosted, and you may understand where his head is at..

Cranio-rectal inversion?
Who’s Bobby Fontaine?
This “old fart” would like to make a “long-winded” announcement. Since I recently found out that I was the mayor of some kind of weird cult, I decided to do a bit more research on the Master of Wisdom who gave me this curious designation. Some initial results (probably the only results since I nearly wore out my fingers in this endeavor):
1. Woooeee! The Master of Wisdom is all over the place on the net. Scarcely a news outlet or blog anywhere in this wide world escapes his attention, especially when they dare to post an article on energy issues, particulary ethanol or fuel additives. After awhile, the only fun comes when he runs into someone who knows more about the subject than he does…like the guys who tried patiently to explain to him that he did not understand the difference between “anhydrous” and “hydrous”. Or, perhaps, the people who have actually worked in the additive industry and know what companies produced what and when.
2. The Master of Wisdom has an interesting writing technique. The basic subject is irrelevant. You could lead off with an article on the sex life of the Zulu or the designer of Michelle Obama’s wardrobe; and, about two or three paragrapshs down, you are right back into Question 6. It’s sort of like being in the movie “Groundhog Day.”
2. We have not been the only recipients of the Master’s flair for the scatalogical. I ran across an article on the Catholic church and abortion in which the Master of Wisdom displayed in his comment his devotion to the graphic description of certain body parts. That certainly gave an uplifting tone to the whole read!
3. The sad conclusion is that we at NVTH are not unique and that our “cult” seems to be just one of many… virtually a wide-spread fad really. The Master of Wisdom was proven right again on something at least. I estimate that his posts and comments earn him about 99.9% negative reactions, most of them incredulous. As an example, I will provide you with a list of comments in response to just one article devoted to the usual Question 6 issues:
“Holy crap!”
“..like one of those Nigerian e-mails…”
“gigantic steaming plate of crap”
“Holy Mackerel!”
“What a load of drivel!”
“Absolutely insane article”
“..bordering on paranoid delusional. I take back the bordering part.”
“insane and complete garbage”
“Lyndon La Rouche?”
“Article writer is on crack”
“What a crock!”
I must admit, however, that I did not find a response anywhere matching one of ours about lips and the back of the head.
4. In all this I searched hard to find what might be considered the Master’s “piece de resistance”…the one which would secure his place in the annals of net literature. I found it in a most unexpected place: a brief article on how the government of Myanmar (Burma for all you elderly) had turned away US Navy ships attempting to bring relief to cyclone victims. The author made the mistake of asking for comments on whether the ships should have stayed longer in order to resolve the impasse. There was only one response. I quote from the last paragraph of that response:
“This could be why the junta has been so closed to aid, especially to the U.S., to keep the world from finding out that they are refining jatrapha beans to sell biodeisel secretly keeping the proceeds for themselves without sharing it with people that grew the beans”
The author of the article still has to be scratching his head about that one!
5. Well, that’s about it for my report. Since I discovered through this research that I am no longer the mayor of a unique cult, I believe I will resign the mayoral post. Thinking of heading up to New York to see Governor Patterson and put in my bid for that Senate seat. Only problem is that I don’t know which cane will make the best impression on those guys up there, the one with the solid gold eagle on the head or the plain one making me look like a member of the slave-wage proletariat.
6. All in all, you still gotta love the guy. He certainly brought some spice into a slow period. Big problem though. Who among you is going to pick up the slack and help to keep Kevin laughing?

Awesome! It took me a full minute to regain my composure after that para. This needs to go into a list as one of the all time best quotes. Thank you, really needed that.
Wolverine,
OK … para 3 was even better.
[...] « Bobby Fontaine has left the house, for now [...]
He says this about the liberals today “a liberal movement that not only doesn’t exist anymore, their forces have regrouped while learning from their past mistakes”
HAhahahahahahahah!
Please ANYONE show me how anything the libs are pushing today is anything different from the failed policies that have been proven so time and again since the time of Karl Marx? I will agree they have dressed them up with new technology, but to say anything else is different is a laugh!
“I must admit, however, that I did not find a response anywhere matching one of ours about lips and the back of the head.”
Anyone who badmouths Texas A&M’s own Phil Gramm just saddled a horse they can’t ride. That was your first mistake.
Second mistake? Pinning the blame for our financial troubles on “corrupt” capitalism.
If you look at the genesis of the problem, government-directed organizations handing out mortgages the free market refused to give, and the newest flare-up, decades of automakers caving to ridiculous union demands, you find a common thread — people tampering with the free market because they’re convinced they’re just plain smarter than irrefutable economic law.
And that’s where you get core tenet of liberalism — the belief that you, the liberal, are a morally and intellectually superior being, a being with an inherent duty to meddle in people’s lives and make their decisions for them because they simply aren’t as good as you.
That’s why liberalism fails, and that why it failed this economy when it decided it could dole out mortgages to people who can’t pay and set this entire chain of events into motion.

Who’s Bobby Fontaine?
Your kindred spirit ?
You with a really bad haircut ?
A guy like you who is wrong 99.98% of the time but needs 6000 words to prove it.
