As usual, the Democrats are doing what they always accuse the Republicans of doing. In this case, it’s fear-mongering. The Democrats have done it for years, of course. This time, President 0bama is taking up the tactic.
In a February 5th, 2009, Washington Post editorial entitled The Action Americans Need, 0bama makes the following assertion:
[If] nothing is done, this recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse.
Of course, seeing that government intervention in our economic system caused the crisis, it is more likely that this recession will linger for years if something is done. By the government, that is.
Alinsky said you need to gin up a crisis in order ton get the change you want. Obama is just being a good student.
Rahm Emanuel said “Never let a crisis go to waste” – looks like Obama’s cabinet learned well.
I read that the Usurper had an editorial in the Washington Rag Post on Thursday, February 5, 2009. I did not get this paper.
So he runs TV ads, writes an editorial, flies around to try and bully congress to pass the bill, gee, I wonder if he also sent text messages this time?
