Our First Female President

Heh. In the same sense the big He was our first black president:

The Axis of Evil has certainly picked up on this. Not a week goes by without Kim Jong-Il or Iran’s Ahmadinejad or some other pipsqueak tin-pot wannabe figuratively bitch-slapping the POTUS. Every week another news story features another fascist thug playing the role of Moe from the Three Stooges to Obama’s Shemp .

“America’s role in the world” is easier to categorize and denigrate when it fits the liberal narrative of “America is always wrong.” Everyone has been down with that because it is safe harbor in the current media environment.

It takes on a different cast when the message is “Americans are worthless wusses to be abused,” which is where our president is leading us. Everyone may not be down with that quite so much, because the media cheerleading won’t be as credible.

Way to go , Joe. Insult the President and all women in one fell swoop. I know plenty of women who would think you’re a wuss.

  2. jacob says:

I agree with zimzo, by comparing the president to a woman, you are insulting all women. By mentioning ‘bitch-slapping’ you are comparing him to a dog. The Snoopy lobby is insulted. The dogs talked to some mook named Tony. I would check my brakes and not answer the door if I was you Joe.

  3. jack says:

No kidding. My daughter would kick your ass for making such a comparison.

  4. Cathymac says:

While it is an insult to most conservative women, the liberal women probably LOVE this comparison ;)

Anyone remember the miniseries ‘Amerika’ from the 1980’s? This is the Pledge of Allegiance from the Soviet controlled United States:

“I pledge my allegiance to the flag of the community of American, Soviet, and United Nations of the World, and to the principle for which it stands – a nation, indivisible with others of the Earth, joined in peace, and justice for all.”

This was a speech given by a youth in the film:

We are the voice of the new generation. We are the voice of the new people. The destructive ways of the past are gone. We will replace them with our vision of the future. The Party will lead us to the new age. There have been those who have tried to stop the new age. They are the corrupt reminder of the past. They have tried to confuse us with the idea that the old America was a good country. We know that lie. History teaches us that lie. We are grateful to our Soviet brothers who saved the world from destruction, and we can now join them in a world of socialist brotherhood. Everyone will go to school, everyone will have a job, everyone will be equal. No one will exploit or be exploited, and all those who oppose this wonderful vision will be crushed.

I’m with Zimzo and Jacob. You’ll be back on the couch tonight, honey. And not the same couch as the puppy.

“The dogs talked to some mook named Tony. I would check my brakes and not answer the door if I was you Joe.”

I’m offended at your reference to “some mook named Tony” – clearly a hateful reference to the so-called “Italian Mafia” as contract killers.

These hateful comments only reinforce negative stereotypes; they are are hurtful and hate-speech. You should chastise yourself severely.

I’m also offended at joe and zimzo’s use of the term “wuss” in such a negative way. Is there something wrong with being a wuss? Just because someone’s weak doesn’t make them less a person, does it? This kind of hate speech will not be tolerated in the new America. Now chastise yourself. Severely.

“honey”? That’s unwanted sexual harrassment. This kind of hateful behavior …

  8. Sheesh I thought we as a nation had moved beyond such hair trigger gender sensitivity …

  9. Cathymac says:

    W. Nelson, Never saw “Amerika” – but have been thinking about “Red Dawn” lately.

  10. G. Stone says:

    Joe
You should have compared him to a little girl. Their lobby is a lot smaller in more ways than one. Although the Girl Scouts can if needed throw down with the best of em.

  11. Wolverine says:

Yipes! “kick your ass”…”insulting all women”…”back on the couch”…”you’re a wuss”…”check your brakes”…”don’t answer the door”?!!! Doggone, posting something on NVTH is sometimes not much different from taking a stroll through Central Park at midnight!

  12. W. Nelson says:

    @ Cathymac

It is a novel. The author wrote it in the 1980s when he became frustrated with pacifists. They did not understand the evil of the USSR, so he wrote a book (made into a miniseries) that portrayed life in America under the communists. I think ‘Amerika’ fits better than “Red Dawn” because in ‘Amerika’ the communists took over America without firing a shot. It was American apathy, as in this quote from a Soviet leader describing how the US was taken over in a bloodless coup:

“It (the Soviet coup) worked because you lost your country before we ever got here. You had political freedom, but you lost your passion … How could we not win?”

These quotes were also very gripping:

“The truth is, we’ve reached the first time in history where there’s no place left to escape to. America, England, Israel, Canada, there was always a beacon of hope somewhere. Now there’s just one world and it’s all bad.”

“It’s one of life’s little jokes. We escaped from East Germany to come to the promised land (the USA); now the promised land has become worse than what we left.”

  13. ACTivist says:

Joe, I really don’t see the problem (which is why I always remain in the dog house, I think) since all you were doing is relating other stories to the NVTH site: being the messenger. I applaud your bravery and stupidity in this matter. And if you want the “good” couch, I’ll be glad to babysit the dog. Hey, think nothing of it. After all, what are friends for?

  14. Cathymac says:

W Nelson, I always think of Red Dawn because of the cry of “WOLVERINES!!!” – perhaps in tribute to our dear poster hear on NVTH??

I will put Amerika on my list, as it is I am just getting around to Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged – I am a late bloomer.

  15. Yeah the sad thing is I’m sort of a couch guy anyway because of the insomnia but I do appreciate the gesture, ACT, and may need to take you up on it. The puppy would love it, I’m sure.

Cmac, just finished Atlas Shrugged for the second time. My advice: Plow through. It is well worth the effort and highly relevant.

Another great book is the fountain head.
