The amazing thing is that we have heard the stories of people coming from Canada to get help here. We hear about the English rationing of care and how the elderly are refused care. But still the Democrats insist on increasing government involvement in this segment of the economy. This is because the issue is not health care for all, but control. It is not a question of access. All have access, it is illegal to refuse care. It is about control of one sixth of the economy and the Democrats call it insurance.
Very disturbing, I probably shouldn’t have watched that before going to bed.
However, I do think a large majority of Dems actually believe in this nonsense, as opposed to just wanting power, even though that’s still a huge part of it.
Something just twists their insides to think that the free market can control something like medicine. The very idea that an important product is governed by the laws of supply and demand and provided by for profit organizations as opposed to being dealt out based on “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” violates their pathetic idea of “fairness”. They fail to see the fact that a laissez-faire system, which provides the most money and resources to those who provide the most in demand goods and service to others, is the only moral economic system.
Their infantile understanding of economics as anything other than greedy capitalist price gouging by “big business” doesn’t help either.
I don’t think the vast majority of liberals think of this as a power grab because most liberals don’t think, they “feel”.

Dean Heller, R-Nev., that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care under the proposed plan backed by House Democrats and President Barack Obama.

12 million? That’s the number that the government has been erroneously reporting for many years. It has been reported by non-government agencies and other institutions that there are as many as 38 million Illegal Aliens in this country.
They account for approximately 17% of the uninsured, but…..they have already been receiving free health care at your expense for years. You also pay for approximately 350,000 births to Illegal Aliens each year at a cost of $4,000. to $50,000.
You are also paying for the cost of long term or lifetime medical care for each baby that has a disability or other serious medical condition, sometimes these babies qualify for SSI.
I’m not against babies, I PAID for my own, Mexico, et al should be footing the bills for their own, but they encourage pregnant women to drop over the border in labor so they can be rushed to the nearest US hospital.
