Want to tell the Congress, the Obama Administration and the mainstream media lapdogs what you think about where the country is headed under current federal government policies?
Come to DC this Saturday morning for the national Tea Party rally. The Other McCain has all the details.
Either show up at the Federal Triangle metro station between 9-10 am, or at the Capitol at 1 pm, or somewhere in between. Here is the map (thanks to Shiplap).
I can take as many as the SUV will hold, down to one of the metro stops, but am not exactly sure when I will be going. Depends on how this week goes. But let me know if you want to come along.
Wish I could go, but the current plan is to be in Tidewater for my father-in-law’s birthday.
Waiting to see kid’s game schedules but I would love to be there for the march down Constitution Avenue. I can imagine there will be plenty of opposing forces counter protesting.
There will ALWAYS be good excuses BUT they are only excuses. Jack-bring the old hippie for a different kind of birthday. Cmac-have someone tape the game. For heaven’s sake you can’t make them all!
I’m there!!
I’m following the Express in from PA.
Good to hear it Monk, look forward to seeing you in the maelstrom!
My wife and I will be there, can’t sit on the sidelines on this one..
Way too much at stake. I missed Concord, Lexington, Trenton, and Yorktown, but this time, I will be there !
Pitch forks sharpened it is time to storm the castle. See ya on the hill.
WASHINGTON – Americans would be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance under a plan that circulated in Congress on Tuesday as divisions among Democrats undercut President Barack Obama’s effort to regain traction on his health care overhaul

Great short piece on how the Tea-Party Express is going:

[...] It was the speech intended to save Barack Obama’s presidency. Not sure how that’s going to work out for him, but in related news my SUV is now just about full for the trip into DC Saturday morning. [...]
Save that seat!
Back in early, and e-mailed you. I’m in Sterling at 0900! Grabbing coffee at one of your fine establishments and on to your street by 0930…
Looks like a good crowd!
This from the WSJ report on the protest:

Could these folks be any less in-touch?
D’oh! Don’t know why the quote didn’t show up. Here … I’ll type it in:
White House officials on Friday professed to know nothing of the planned demonstrations. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs queried reporters about the planners and their issues. “I don’t know who the group is,” he said with a shrug.
Other Democrats suggested the protesters are embittered, fringe conservatives fueled by radio and TV talk-show hosts. “There’s a lot of energy, but it’s negative energy,” said Democratic strategist John Lapp. “At the end of the day, Republicans are left with bomb-throwing, screaming, frothing and a lot of opposition.”
Shouldn’t that be “Democratic strategist John Lappdog”?
There were republicans there, alright….screaming that even their soft-bellied representatives get tossed, too.
Overall, tens of thousands of informed, well-adjusted and PISSED OFF taxpayers.
Continue to trat them like a fringe group at your own peril!
