Here’s something that will make you want to switch your business to FedEx whenever possible.
Given the choice between a unionized company vs non-unionized, my money goes to the latter every time.
By the way, switching to FedEx is not as far-fetched as it might seem. Their “Ground” service is quite competitive with UPS. Last week I shipped some large containers weighing something like 75 lbs each via FedEx Ground from Boston to Northern VA and they cost less than $40 each and arrived within two days.
Luv this video. I’m surprised the pro-union guy from a few weeks ago hasn’t piped in to tell us how great unions are. The more I read and hear about unions, the more I think they should be kept in check.
The original purpose of Unions was to:
1. allow an employee to quit or strike
mission accomplished!
2. allow an employee to bring a watch to work
mission accomplished!
3. get the length of a shift at a factory below 12 hours
mission accomplished!
4. Stop child labor
mission accomplished!
5. stop piece work
Mission accomplished!
Employees now haw retirement plans, health care, disability in over 70% of the work places in the country. When the job is finished, it is time to fold up your tent and leave.
jacob, you forgot number 6, which is ongoing..
6. Enrich union leadership.
It’s all about #6!
Great video! Visit http://www.unionfacts.com for more info. Also visit teachersunionexposed.com to find out how unions have ruined public schools. According to the site, “In its fiscal year 2007, the NEA spent $80.5 million — more than 20 percent of its entire budget — on “contributions, gifts and grants” that largely funded left-wing and non-education-related causes such as:
•ACORN
•American Rights at Work
•Americans United for Separation of Church and State
•Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund
•Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance
•Ballot Initiative Strategy Center
•Business and Professional Women/USA
•Campaign for America’s Future
•Center for Community Change
•Center for Policy Alternatives
•Children’s Defense Fund
•Communities for Quality Education
•Communities United to Strengthen America
•Congressional Black Caucus Foundation
•Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
•Democratic GAIN
•Democratic Leadership Council
•Early Vote Denver
•Economic Policy Institute
•Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network
etc.
Since taxpayers pay the salaries of the members, who pay union dues, this is your money being directed to these organizations!
All,
#6 came later, initially union leaders worked along side the rest of the laborers. By the time the 30’s rolled around it was already time to pull the plug on the patient. Here we aqre 70+ years later, and the undead are more corrupt than ever.
Will they still be contributing to Americans United for Separation of Church and State once environmentalism is recognized as a religion here (we emulate everything else the Brits do in eco-awarenes, so I’m hoping it will be soon!)?
I kind of tend to doubt it, somehow!
Forced unionization of home child care providers.
Michigan Forces Business Owners Into Public Sector Unions
After hemorrhaging members for decades, labor unions have hit upon a new way to shore up their annual dues revenue.

These people need their hard-earned money, not a union.
if fed ex does not want to operate under the NLRA then get out of the freight business
