A downtown protest of the climate change talks in Copenhagen became a victim of Wednesday’s snowstorm.
“Not many people showed up because of the blizzard conditions,” said organizer Clea Major, an international studies student at the University of Utah.
The irony of it all is so sweet, one must see the hand of God in all this. This other Article make things even more problematic:
No Rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Fraction in Past 160 Years, New Research Finds
ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009) — Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.
So if the CO2 level is not changing, why is the climate changing? Inquiring minds want to know. Inquiring minds want to also know how rich is Al Gore getting off his snake oil salesman routine. Inquiring minds want to know if the watermelons who are running the AGW scam will ever have to face charges for inflicting this fraud on the people of the world.
The house of cards is crashing in on them.
This is only going to get better with age, and should be quite a story to put in front of the voters of Loudoun when they call McGimsey , Burk and Miller in for accountablity in November of 2011.
I agree with Monk but would also say that nothing will change until this is presented in court. What you need are the facts to counter the lies put forth and then show damages in life style and personal funds. Unfortunately it takes money to sue and make it thru the court system. What I would like to see more of are lawyers getting into the fray pro bono (like was done with the D.C. gun ban case). With the outragious fees inflicted upon the clients, goodwill should prevail here. As a matter of fact, there should be an overhaul in the justice system where the common citizen CAN represent him/herself without the need of lawyer speak mumbo jumbo hokey pokey. Regardless, we need things contested in court to set presidence and shut them down.
Act, do you recall the group that took the case of the bricks at Potomac Falls HS?
I think it was the Rutherford Institute, but am not 100% sure.
One of the arguments raised in that case was that those bricks showing natural motifs, such as trees, leaves, etc, could indicate that the sponsor held environmentalism as their belief system.
As was posted here not long ago with the Guardian article, the British high court has ruled that environmentalism qualifies as a religious belief system under their discrimination laws of 2003.
It may be a small sideways start, but I would love to see a group (such as Rutherford, or similar?) take up the issue that excessive environmental regulation based upon a belief system founded almost exclusively upon a misinterpreted precautionary principle actually violates the establishment clause.
I think a case could be made for that that could help continuing to mount up opposing precedent, and the more of that that occurs might actually begin to produce a bit of precaution in piling up more policy (and the departments and staff to implement it) based on a belief in AGW.
Green technology uses scarce metals, mostly found in China. China is about to restrict those metals…. just as we start to tax traditional sources of energy….
