Candace Strother, candidate for LCRC chair, addresses the committee on January 26, 2010.
Documents re: the March 6, 2010 mass meeting can be found here. It does not cost anything to show up and vote, but apparently there is a $30 fee if you want to join the committee.

No fuss, no muss. Let’s roll people, the stakes are too high!
A fine professional woman. This would do the image of the LCRC some good, even though I am certainly no quota proponent.
She is as solid as they come friends. Let’s get to work, let’s elect this Reagan Conservative as our chair.
Yes Joe, there is a thirty $30.00 fee to sign up to be a member(candidate) of the Loudoun County Republican Committee. This is your dues for two years. You see every two years the LCRC must disban and start anew (reorganize). This is a State (RPV) requirement. Therefore, we have to have a selection process by which a new Chairman and the initial precinct and at large members are selected. This is the purpose of the filing form to declare and nominate candidates for these positions. Only those wishing to be candidates for these positions need file. If as a Loudoun County voter who declares himself to be a Republican you wish only to vote in the selection process (canvass), there is NO fee and you do not have to file anything. Just show up on March 6th anytime between 10am and 2pm, show ID, sign a pledge, and vote. That’s it. No time consuming process just vote as you do in November elections. The only difference is there is only one polling location for the entire county, and the election is being conducted by the Loudoun County Republican Committee at NO COST to the County or State!! If there are any questions just ask on the blogs and I am sure they will be answered. I would encourage as many Republicans as possible to come out and vote. We are selecting the leadership and members of the next LCRC who will be guiding and running the affairs of the Loudoun County Republican Party.
John, How do you register for the 10th District Convention in May, or is that not even out yet?
CM
I did not mention it above, but any Loudoun County Republican who wishes to attend the 10th Congressional District Convention in Warrenton,VA in May as a voting Delegate representing Loudoun County must also file the filing form and select that you are standing for election as a Delegate to the 10th District Convention. There is a non-refundable $15.00 fee that serves as a delegate registration fee. If there are more candidates for delegate than are alotted for Loudoun County, (2065 permitted), then the Canvass will also elect who will be the delegates and who will be alternate delegates. Loudoun is also permitted 2065 Alternates.I think it is highly unlikely that there will be more people file (overfile) than the based number of Delegates permitted. In the case where there is less people applying for any of the positions for the 10th District or for membership in the LCRC, those selections will not be voted and all properly qualified persons filed shall be deemed elected (automatically).
Thanks John, that’s what I originally thought since the form says “candidate for the 10th District Convention” not “candidate for delegate……”.
I am all set now.
