umm.. as of 6:45 its 32 to 25, Miller over Delgaudio… I wouldn’t say thats overwhelming.. That said, there’s no reason the Both can’t go!
This is the second time I’ve been able to cast a vote against Stevens Miller in just five months. This is beginning to remind me of Chicago-style politics around here!

Lovisa, the BOS doesn’t really need any help these days. They are quite capable of embarrassing themselves. Take Brother Burton, for instance. Sterling Park has been crying out for several years for our limited number of zoning inspectors to get over here and restore our quality of life. Like a cry in the wilderness in my direct experience. But old Burton, he has no qualms about hijacking those same zoning inspectors so they can pick up unauthorized signs on the country roads of his own district. So Burton gets pretty roads and we get overcrowding, deteriorating homes, piles of trash, rats, and everything else that makes life so darned nice. Don’t knock Delgaudio. He is trying to help. To Hell with the “Tootsies.”

I wish you people would stop talking about me when I’m out of the room. Tonight my ears were ringing, and I thought I had come down with some disease. Then I came back from patrol and found out it was probably blog related. It’s sort of like being in a padded cell. Suddenly the little metal window on the locked door slides open. A couple of pairs of eyes look in at you. There is some indistinct mumbling, a shake or two of the heads, and the little window slams shut again.
The one key “c” word you all forgot is “curmudgeon.” I take pride in that. Got it from my Frisian-Dutch ancestors. Just be careful not to get me pissed off when I have my walking stick.

FYI – I’m not a war bride. Even if I were, would that make me a lesser person? You’re most likely too young to have been in WWII and when, after it ended, many, many American patriots brought their foreign born wives to the United States. Are those women to be scorned? Or should the men be scorned because they married non-American women? Were they stupid to have married women who might have used them as a meal ticket?
Could it possibly occur to you that single, young men away from home for years (no e-mail, no skype), might not meet someone they’d fall in love with enough to marry?
You come over as a mean, unthinking person, sorry to say.

FYI – My husband died in October 2002. And not from being married to me, which might surprise some of those who’re slamming me here.
