Damn, a whole day goes by on a positive for our President, and no one comments. Interesting.

I will compliment Obama on the courage of his convictions. In fact, I just wrote a post on my own blog describing true leadership. One element is relying on your own beliefs and not just being a chart watcher.

I’ll give Obama that. He certainly has a devil may care attitude toward accomplishing his agenda. The only thing, though, is that a successful leader will convince the rest of us that his position is correct. On that point, Obama has failed miserably time after time.

I guess when you spend hundreds of billions giving gifts to your constituencies, a couple hundred million for research to the big defense companies is a rather cheap gift.

Before I give him too much credit, two points:

1. it’s pretty clear he thinks these things would allow him to get rid of more nuclear weapons (itself, not a bad thing, but the fact he wants to get rid of all of them makes me nervous), and

2. the way he completely and totally caved to Russia on the ABM deployment in Europe makes me think he’d never actually deploy these things, and may never even produce them.

Hey, all I said was I found it interesting. Still do.

Jacob, you must not have read very much about my views on Bush. I wasn’t that harsh on him. Some here in retrospect were the most critical.

Well, he didn’t see the period, but the double-vision got him an extra N.
