Agreed, perhaps – I mean, I see a lot of references to the USAID IG report, but I haven’t seen the report itself, and I’m not taking it on faith that this was some administration “conspiracy” to legalize abortion in Kenya. But you should’ve stopped there, you went on to make assertions about where the money was spent, like on education on the use of condoms, based on nothing at all.

You automatically gainsay anything Conservative which is posted here – which is good and necessary, someone should challenge our thinking; if we can’t defend our positions, then perhaps we should re-think them. But when you just make things up, it’s a time-waster …

IMO, there’s a difference

The D’s have known that the more people they can “give” money to, the less those people will be likely to vote against them. The problem is that there are sensible people … people that don’t get into debt past their earnings, people that have a sense of justice, and doing what is right … that those that are unthinking thieves will pray upon.

What we have done (as a country) is reward stupidity (going into debt beyond all reason) by allowing people a “get out of jail free” card called bankruptcy. Someone that racks up a few hundred dollars of debt doesn’t count. Those that rack up $100,000 in debt, then declare bankruptcy lived like they were millionaires, then stole what they owed from the people from whom they borrowed.

Those that moved into what they could afford get no help … while those that moved into extravagant houses with large mortgages and no room for any downturn in earnings are given an out so they don’t have to face the consequences of their poor decisions (which made those decisions “wise” in that they got more of our money).

In this topsy turvy world, those that act to save and live within their means are penalized, while those that buy beyond their means are rewarded. It’s no wonder the economy stinks. If you reward what is bad, bad behavior is what you get.

Why on earth would you “believe” this? The money spent has *nothing* to do with these things, these funds were spent in support of a new Kenyan constitution.

However, if you want to find who provided money for these kinds of projects in Africa, you need look no further than the President – President Bush, who funded PEPFAR beginning in 2003 (though, not surprisingly, President Obama has renamed it in his own honor.) This program has made President Bush rather a hero in Africa, and is called by many as the best thing he’s ever done, though you wouldn’t know that by reading American news sources.

You might spend 5 minutes reading about a topic before making (often baseless) assertions.

The US does not promote abortions in other countries, nor in this country. Sex education is the best thing there is for the rate of abortions to abate.
