Mike Chapman, candidate for the Republican nomination for Loudoun County Sheriff, held a fundraising event tonight in Creighton Farm Estates south of Leesburg. Fifty-eight people showed up for the event. Subtracting Mike, his campaign staff, several family members and one blogger, there were a solid 50 attendees.
Attendees included a variety of Loudoun County political figures along with numerous representatives from federal law enforcement agencies.
Chapman’s remarks included:
- His busy campaign schedule continues with recent visits to a plethora of civic groups, homeowners associations and the Fraternal Order of Police.
- Retired Lt. Colonel Ollie North is a contributor and supporter.
- Former Congressman and DEA Administrator Asa Hutchinson will be the guest speaker at Chapman’s April 13 campaign event.

Among the literature available was the campaign postcard mailed last month which evoked some controversy – a scanned copy of the piece is here so readers can evaluate it for themselves.
UPDATE: There is going to be a Republican sheriff nominees debate on April 26, 7:00 pm, in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Government Center. I believe it is being hosted by the Young Republicans. As currently planned, questions will be submitted via note cards from the audience. More details will be posted here as I receive them.
