There he goes again. If BO can’t get you to actually utter it, he’ll assign it to you anyway. I said none of the above. This hopeful assignment of that trajectory to someone who has never said a word of it is so much like Hollywood making a movie based on facts that they WISH were true, in order to alter the reality they live in.
This is why there is one moron on display in this thread….and it ain’t any of the hopefuls that he mentioned.

re polls: still no addressal of double-sampling rural residents in the UVa/county poll, and no mention of the fact that Ms. Clarke’s survey showed support in the 70s for Metro, which only dropped into the 60s when the question was YES asked if people still supported it even if it meant some taxes. Which may explain why A) Buona was the one that read the results into the record, and B) why polls are very very bad.

I’d be inclined to agree with you on the actual means of the word. Perhaps I should have used idiots, inbeciles or morons….which are all applicable, because they actually denote a diminished capacity in IQ percentiles.

And Ron White says you can get your eyes fixed. You can get your hearing fixed. You can get liposuction for a fat body….but you can’t fix stupid. Stupid is ….forever.

Monk, the term “retards” is inappropriate in this and most other cases, especially as an insult. Retardation is an infliction that can’t be helped or cured unfortunately. The people you speak of are ignorant or just stupid and those conditions can be fixed (well, you can’t cure stupid either but that is a self-inflicted condition). Wolve, that’s the point. …1100 folks get polled as to whether they’d like Metro. That means that of the 1100, 700 of them liked the idea of Metro. Now, if you trotted out the question as “would you pay $1200 in addition to your current taxload for the Metro” ….it’s obvious to any thinking person that those numbers plummented to below half of the respondents. 33% to be exact, because that’s the percentage of retards that want stuff given to them free….because it’s their “right” for the rest of us to cart their fat asses around.

Cmac, I don’t know if there are enough hours in the day to narrate everything–he’s been increasingly frantic.

If I open my fb account and the first five things on the page are the latest Benedict Arnold posts here there and everywhere, it isn’t like I have to make an effort to track it.

That might seem a bit obsessed on his part, and more than a bit bitter.

But I understand. It’s certainly his right to continue to be an ass, yours to say it’s great, and mine to say “this is what didn’t work for you in the first place”.

91 minutes is close to 2hrs. Is that a door-to-door estimate? In addition to a long trip while on the train, add in all the time getting to and from the stations, as well as waiting on the platform for a train to arrive (double that if you have to change trains) and the awful delays that occur during rush hour. It sucks.

HFTB estimates are 91 minutes not 2 hours. True, we’ll see if that is accurate, but it’s about what we get on the bus now. Oh and if I drive, solo, it’s at least 30 minutes more, plus tolls, plus wear and tear on the car, and plus no HOV. Car is not an option.
