Spry? Antiqued? Haw! Reminds me of the time we were going through a museum in Kansas, where they had a photographic section devoted to local history. In that display I found a picture of Mrs. W when she was just a wee girl. "Wife," I said, "It does appear that I may be married to a museum piece."

Borgnine also had 5 wives, his 3rd being Ethel Merman. They were married for 6 weeks and Ernest was quoted as saying - "If you blinked, you missed it".

Everything did not come up roses for Ethel and Ernest, but he went on to find a long term wife in number 5. Whew! Otherwise we would have been on wife number 12 or 13.

Well, I don't know if that was a compliment because when last I looked in the mirror, the word "spry" NEVER came to mind. Antiqued, maybe. I liked him and I'll miss him, especially the cowboy side (Sponge Bob who?) and don't get me started on that punk Sinatra. Anytime he got his ass kicked, I felt really warm and fuzzy inside! Go Ernie!

I loved him in "Red". Turns out it was his last film, but to still be working in his field and vibrant in his 90s, more power to him. Defintitely a "they broke the mold" guy.

Anyone who hasn't seen/heard his work with Tim Conway in Spongebob is missing some hilarity--I was amazed and thrilled to find them there when my kids were small, that they were working together again and WORKING.

So Marty, whatcha wanna do tonight?
