I Will Not Post Another Train Story

I also won’t give you a link like this that talks about political corruption and deceit. Or how it states that the more people who know about it the less they want it. I also don’t want to bring up the additional 70 plus BILLION dollar price before it even gets started or where there are bond referrendums that will be offset by educational cuts and higher taxes. I definitely wouldn’t speak of the US taxpayers paying for a stimulus for this train as a return favor for votes on the health care bill passage.

No sir. I am already in enough trouble bringing up train stories that could be associated with the boondoggle Loudoun county just got stuck with. That would be like the British telling the US not to follow them down the socialistic rabbit hole or we could end up in the same boat they are in. You couldn’t twist my arm. Not in a million years.

Just read that story you linked to ACT. Disgusting. And it sounds just like the BS that just got sold to everyone here in Loudoun County. LaHood worked his magic here as well, except this time it was Loudoun County Republicans buying the BS instead of California Dems.

I thought from the headline that it was going to be about the computer glitch that affected the whole metro line twice this weekend.

Is there new info that it’s actually going to be a bullet train to Ashburn?

When you have 13 BILLION dollars in maintenance backlog, I am sure it is like finding a needle in a haystack to figure out what went wrong, so nobody should hold their breath for answers (danged software glitches):

Passenger trains basically do the same things, Barbara. They shuttle people from where the work isn’t to where the work is. Of course, when there are stations then the infrastructure builds business around those stations. That way you can have people at station A come work at station B and vice-versa. Regardless, it could be a warp train to the moon but still be known as “boondoggle” on its face.

btw Are you telling me that Metro had another problem this weekend? The horror!

The DC metro is a mess. The people who supported hitching Loudoun’s wagon to this nag are going to have some explaining to do. The ‘no PLA’ fig leaf won’t fool anyone. The cost over runs, unpaid bonds, and the never to be seen boost on the local economy will require a constant stream of excuses.

Thanks, Barb. I was going to post something about that latest Metro screw-up but thought it might look like I was piling on. Got to be rather embarrassing when you “lose” all your trains at once and the angry “tweets” start flying. Is Homer Simpson running Metro?

Barb — I think we already got the “bullet” — 5-4 calibre. Trains will follow later, if they stay on the rails or Metro doesn’t lose them.
