There is one thing I do not understand about this zombie craze. At every funeral I have ever attended, people are buried in suit and tie or nice dresses or pants suits. Yet, I keep seeing zombies in blue jeans and windbreakers and shorts and tube tops. Do these zombies visit the Good Will stores for a change of clothes before going out on a rampage? Just asking a silly question before the storm hits.

More likely that the tube-top and wind-breaker zombies were people who were killed by the zombies that were turned into zombies by the original suit and tie crowd zombies.

I am glad you all have clarified this zombie question, which seemed so obvious but to my knowledge – had never been asked!

Boy, you learn something every day on these blogs. I never realized that, if you are killed and noshed on by a zombie, you turn into a zombie yourself. Vampires — I understand the deal. But zombies? I need to get up to speed. Does NoVaCC offer an audit course on this stuff?

Darn, that young zombie to the left in the drawing is wearing what looks to be my own NW patrol jacket. I seem to recall that face somehow. No, wait! My jacket doesn’t have a hoodie. I’m still just me! I think. Can zombies blog?

Zombies are ideal bloggers because they always work for free, and frankly they CAN’T be at a normal workplace so telecommuting is standard procedure anyway.

So, it is time for a scary story — a bit like the zombie thing. There was a time deep in the African bush when the word started being passed around that “THEY” were back. The “THEY” were a deep bush tribe which believed in the power of the mind. They would select an appropriate victim, ambush him or her, and decapitate the victim. They then extracted a portion of the victim’s brain, which they wore around their necks in a sort of locket. They believed that the victim’s brain power would give them enhanced strength and cunning.

When the word was passed that a headless body had been found in the bush, that certainly got the attention of many. Woooeee, that cut down on the nighttime excursions and caused the barring of doors, I tell you. I never found out the truth of the matter or whether some wags might have been pulling my leg; but I was once on a train when the engineer stopped in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and refused to budge despite our loud pleas. He said that he had received word that “THEY” were in the vicinity of the next station down the line. He didn’t look to me like he was in on a joke.

And now back to our regular programming.

Well, Reb, I think they must have shared them out equally between everybody in the travel squad. If anybody went off to take a whiz during the share out period, they probably risked winding up with no brains at all.

The way it was explained to me, these guys lived in another country and snuck across the border from time to time to replenish. Inadequate border security for sure certain. I used to ride horses alone out in that bush and never got ambushed. Either the whole thing was a fairy tale or they figured an American Yankee brain with a college degree might scramble their warrior psyches beyond repair.

Cmac. The Zombie Union just called, they demand that you retract your statement comparing them to Ed Myers. That shit, is just mean. Shame on you. Poor Zombies.
