Mama doesn’t believe that I should hold actors accountable for their political views because acting isn’t politics. Then I get “you can’t judge them because you aren’t standing in their shoes”. Rather than continue to argue a losing battle, I give her snippets of the “highlights” with each political candidate–fair and unbiased–so that she can make a rational decision during election time and it seems to sink in. I give further in-depth analysis if she requests it. THEN I tell her about who contributes to the fiasco (actors and others) and I get my point across. Now being as how she hates Obama’s and the Dems policies, I should probably tell her during our next “actor” discussion that Obama should have long ago been given an Oscar from Hollywood, even without being in a movie. He would win the award for acting as president and also the most likable human being of our time. THAT would absolutely make my case. As far as Ellen goes, Ellen who?

That silly woman has recently tweeted that she wished Hurricane Isaac would kill everybody at the RNC convention in Tampa. Where are the guys in the white coats when you need to send them after someone?!!!

Charlie Crist showed what a weasel he was in 2010 when he dropped all of his positions wholesale and adopted leftist positions within a few short days (not years) in order to quickly run as an independent.

But this is going to be Obama’s theme: “the Republican party has gotten too extreme” (throw in Akin’s name at every moment you can). This is evidenced by the commercial with fake former Republican women they have been running.

They also have TV pundits like former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough (who strongly supported Crist against Rubio in 2010) supporting this mantra every time he gets a chance. Even Jeb Bush is giving voice to it every now and then.

They can have Crist. He wants to challenge Rick Scott for Governor. I’m not sure Crist realizes how ridiculous this is, but hey – if the D’s want to run him against Rick Scott then I fully support their decision.

Sending Crist to the Dems doesn’t sound like too bad a trade to me. Swap him for a box of Florida tangerines and a bag of gummy bears, and the Repubs come out ahead on the deal. Reminds me of the old days when the New York Yankees of Berra, Mantle, and Ford fame used to use the former Kansas City Athletics as a sort of farm club. The Repubs get Rubio, a rookie with talent and promise. The Dems get Crist, a loser on his way down.

Seems that former Fl. gov Crist (I) is now going to speak at the DNC supporting Obama. Wasn’t that long ago when he trashed Obama policies at every turn and considered himself a conservative Reagan Repub. Funny how low people will go looking to gain a seat of political power. Oh, they have been checking rooftops in Tampa and found stockpiles of bricks and pipes. I guess the protesters will have to bring their own acid-eggs from home.. I wonder if it is for the RNC or Biden? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Which is why Barry wants him on the ticket. Biden made the gaffe and I saw what Charlie said. He doesn’t blame the Dems anymore than Wilder does. They say what is convenient to cover their own asses later. Shoot. Wilder still wants the Confederate soldier standing guard in King St. in Alexandria to go. There is just no place in history for Rebs. It is all about racism with these guys except in this case with Biden, it truly is. I wonder what Byrd would have to say on the matter?

You can let up a little on Charlie on this one. In a recent media interview, he kicked aside the Dem cover stories on Biden’s “chains” comment in Danville. Charlie interpreted the comments just the way most of us did and said those comments, in both their intended meaning and the use of the vernacular, were “stupid.”
