There is no fair measure to take into account when you have both Dem houses of Congress making lax rules with no accountability 2 years before Obama took office and Obama was one of those voting on the demise of a working system. btw Obama saved that plant except it now operates in China with Chinese labor and American money. That is why the union is pissy with him.

BPM, interesting that all the photos that “prove” the last car was the last SUV in December 08 don’t go further on the GM site, to where the plant wasn’t put into standby mode until May 09. It was also one of three considered for reopening after General became Government Motors, but it was not selected.

“Two other GM assembly plants in Spring Hill, Tenn. and Janesville, Wis. were also under consideration to build the future small car. Spring Hill will be placed in standby capacity status in Nov. 2009, as announced earlier this month. The plant could be brought online at some point in the future should GM require additional capacity due to increased market demand. Janesville was placed on standby capacity in May 2009 and will remain in that status.”

It appeared to me that Ryan’s message was that people in Janesville gambled on Hope, in the face of a very bleak reality–not that Obama’s hundred years was a real promise. Just as Romney’s statement about the oceans wasn’t treating Obama’s promise to make them fall as real.
