Former Time Magazine Reporter and White House Lemming Jay Carney repeated the biggest falsehood perpetuated (pertaining to national security) in the past decade and insults our intelligence:
“This is a fairly volatile situation, and it is in response not to United States policy, obviously not to the administration, not to the American people. It is in response to a video, a film, that we have judged to be reprehensible and disgusting — that in no way justifies any violent reaction to it.”
First question the Press Corps should ask:
What Foreign Policy?
From reports – “Carney explained that for other countries it can be “difficult to understand” why the United States allows such offensive speech as that displayed in the anti-Muhammad flick “Innocence of Muslims.” He reiterated that the Obama administration would not seek to limit freedom of speech, even speech it finds offensive.”
Another question for the Press Corps:
Did the administration ask YouTube to review their policy on this “film”?
“JAKE TAPPER: [unintelligible] that the anniversary of 9-11 would be a time when you would want to have extra security around diplomats and military posts?
JAY CARNEY: Well, as you know, there, we, are very vigilant around anniversaries like 9-11. The president is always briefed and brought up to speed on the precautions being taken. [crosstalk] But let’s be clear. This, these protests, were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region. [crosstalk] We don’t know otherwise. You know, we have no information to suggest that it was a pre-planned…attack.”
Final Question for the Press Corps:
Are you kidding me?
The Press Corps needs to walk out on this type of dangerous drivel if repeated again.
