President Obama and Former Governor Tim Kaine both had important events today. Both made very revealing statements.

George Allen and Tim Kaine participated in a debate today at the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. Kaine’s years as Governor were peppered with attempts to raise taxes, so it was no surprise when he revealed that that is what he wants to do again:

“I Would Be Open to a Proposal to Have Some Minimum Tax Level for Everyone”

So much for the little people. Tossed aside in a debate by the President’s go-to guy for the 2010 mid-term elections (aka “schellacking”).

President Obama participated in a Univision Forum in Florida and revealed what he thinks about “change” (no comment on his views on “hope”, it might be lost):

“The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t change Washington from the inside,” he told a Univision forum Thursday. “You can only change it from the outside.”

Feel free to try to change it from the outside Mr. Obama. Hawaii is a nice place to play basketball and hang out JayZ and Beyonce.

Changing Washington by Raising Taxes. Together.

No, Thank You.

Update: Romney’s response – The White Flag of Surrender.

George Allen’s response:

“It’s typical of Tim Kaine. His record is always one looking to raise taxes,” Allen said, noting that most Americans already pay payroll and sales taxes. “When he was governor, he tried to raise taxes on people earning as little as $17,000 a year. He wanted to raise taxes on buying used cars.”
