@ ACT

Yes, but what does "no appeasement" and "peace through strength" really mean other than maybe stronger rhetoric? I don't think Romney wants to go to war with Iran and would largely continue the Bush policies that Obama largely continued. That means continuing the sanctions on Iran, probably funding the Al-Qaeda rebels in Syria (a mistake) and a more antagonistic rhetorical relationship with countries like Venezuela.

We don't have the stomach to "walk the walk" and do what really must be done.

Beg to differ, Gaius. The biggest 2 distinctions are: no appeasement for radical governments and peace through strength. The Obama poodle has never understood this and neither did the hippies (who are alive and well on the left coast). I'm all for "non-intervention" and a realist view of what defines an act of military response to a situation. Drones are not the wave of the future and endless negotiations do not give a satisfactory conclusion to radical sabre rattling. Purpose, determination and an unwavering will to "walk the walk" when necessary are what is needed to calm most situations. We need to back those in the region who will back us--not just pseudo talking'points either. I would rather have the government payroll padded with military personnel, as is dictated by the Constitution, then paying for Czars and useless departments.

And to think that they are pre-empting 'Revolution' for this debate! But seriously, I will be watching to make sure there is no set back by Romney and/or a knock out blow to Obama. Otherwise I'm not interested because there's barely any distinction between the two men on foreign policy stances - at least from where I stand as a non-interventionist.
