Where you are held accountable for your convictions and record

I could have told you that. The whacko behaviours are prevalent in many posters here but, then again, I pointed this obvious factor out long before came to light. Mine is even mentioned and shows that it can be attributable to my environment, as in this blog. I have no problem letting my “gift” run freely without curtailing it through medication as it has been beneficial through the flooding of hundreds of simultaneous thoughts. Going to sleep can be a bitch at times since my brain has no “off” switch but that is something I have gotten use to. It is easily controlled through a singular focus but, for me, can only be inhibited by singular focus. I cannot multi-task with success so I’ll just leave that to Mama and other women. Mine is not a disease. It is also as harmless as giving children sugar at 7pm (and we all know what that is about).

The other disorders are of more detriment and carry some dangers. Isolating the prevalent gene causing the infliction can well diagnose a cure. This is a very good thing (which means that homosexuality can be cured also, since, I’m constantly reminded, that it is within one’s genetic make-up. Yeah, right.) and can help millions of people regain a presence to lead a more normal or completely normal life. I am all for it. I can think of an individual here that desperately needs the fix. If we could isolate the gene that causes liberalism, all would be right with the world. Crap. Forgot that liberalism is an “emotion” and, therefore, incurable. Well, we’ll continue to work on that one.

That is a good thing. But as far as “pressing” business, York is still trying to get permission from Richmond to raise our taxes freely. The Board is still working on the issue of raising our personal property taxes more (do they ever go down?) so that we can maintain the status of the “richest county in the galaxy”. Then there is the tax increases proposed by the State (I use this link just to piss BlackOut off) which needs to be addressed. But, hey–it’s just politics and who really gives a shit. Ah, hell, what am I saying. I give a shit.

Did I get your attention? Possibly because you gravitate towards anything denoting a sense of fear. That would be the political tactic of these times and this administration on a continual, daily basis. But the story of the boy who cried Wolf keeps coming to mind and the people are becoming more and more desensitized to “the sky is falling”. So why does it continue? Well, as many of you already know, it is also used as a tactic to divert your attention. Have you heard anything recently about teacher accountability through competency? I have only heard stories about what acts teachers are perpetrating on students and continual stories of low test scores. Is Fast & Furious resolved? I don’t remember people being fired, going to jail, culpability being laid at the feet of Holder or Obama. Is Bengazi resolved? I don’t remember people being fired, going to jail, culpability being laid ANYWHERE ( oh, right. Clinton graciously took the blame on her way out the door). Have we found those terrorist involved and brought them to justice? Have the staff (you know, those eyewitnesses at the scene) been interviewed YET? Did Vince Foster REALLY commit suicide? Is anyone continuing to press for answers?

I look at the news and BP is still being sought for lawsuits–more money. Not sure how the European economy is doing in relation to the global economic crisis and our monetary health. North Korea is still in the process of sabre rattling and Kerry and Dennis Rodman will curtail our fears (hoping that Kerry goes to the correct Korea). Iran is still in the process of uranium enrichment which is a daily concern for…….Israel, anyway. Indian (the dothead kind) women are being harassed daily on the street and then U.S. Senate is pushing a renewal of the Violence Against Women Act (nothing better to do in Congress, I guess). The bill is a PDF and you can look it up. It saves money by giving grants and support everywhere, help immigrants, native Americans (whoever they are), the Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands, and makes “verbal abuse” a domestic violence issue where, if convicted, you lose the right of gun ownership. This thing is filled with pork and coddling to the trans/gay/lesbian individuals and not worth the time of day. But while Congress works on that scary sequester deal, they add more pork and less freedom to the citizen. Although violence against women (or ANYBODY) is an important issue, there is no crisis here and the strengthening of this act from its original bill (Bill Clinton’s bill–the all women lover) is but a sham….and it spends, spends, SPENDS. But it will be snuck through with bi-partisan support (it’s only 188 pages long and should have been an easy read) while we are to remain focused on a scary crisis. Smoke and mirrors is how our government works.

So, really, there is no news. Everything is hunky-dory. Move along and go about your business. We’ll let you know when to worry about the next crisis.

An interesting e-mail came to me, which you can read below the fold. It was sent from the military side of my friendships. Interestingly, those military and ex-military SES/GS individuals WANT the sequester to happen. When I asked some “why”, I was told, almost verbatim in unison; “I’m tired of the bullshit”. Many relish the reduced time, as well up-ending the apple cart to make a statement. Mama is even looking for reduction in time, depending on how they dole it out by responsibilities.

I researched the author and title to find validity before I shared it. It is located at this site. I cannot attest that the conversation took place so I must give the benefit of the doubt to the author. I tend to give it credence just by the “parlor talk” and how it unfolds. It is perplexing to me why the informed individual must seek out the truth and facts, while the uninformed just swallow whatever is fed them. I guess it has to do with the “ant” analogy I have towards mankind. Anyway, the term “traitor” is used often, whether to you liking, agreement, or not. Read below the fold. continue reading…

It has come to my attention that the liberals have decided to boycott the staff and site of NVTH. Damn. I hate when they do that. Until said boycott is over, I will post this collective of the most logical liberal discussions we have had here.

What can I say.

Congress Member,

I don’t know what else to call you other than this title. Although you feel that the title you won through the election process, be it Senator or Representative, bestows a mantle of esteem, it doesn’t. Esteem. That is a word that is earned-not given. When used with the word Congress, it becomes an oxymoron. If you take the good members and lump them with the bad members, you get a congealed blob called Congress. It may seem truly unfair to mass everyone together but what is shown to the people? Everyone stands out by their own right yet no one stands out uniquely. You are opponents on issue for the media to broadcast to all yet you are all “chums” at socials and away from the cameras. What I see is that you do the bidding for your own endeavors but not the bidding of the people.

The bidding of the people. What people are those? Are those the people of the world? No, it is not. Are those the people of the state or district? To a lesser degree, yes. To the greater degree, it is for all the people of the United States as a whole. And how should your authority be delegated to these people? Through the Constitution and its principles. Those principles are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Your job is to defend us from enemies foreign and domestic. To give us fair trade. To allow our capitalistic society to grow and thrive. To give every citizen the opportunity to succeed in their personal goals in life. Do we, as citizens, receive this? No. You force pursuits into areas that belong to the private sector where you feel the government can create and manage these pursuits more effectively.. You use our money without our permission in areas you don’t, and shouldn’t, control. Instead of allowing opportunity, you feel that the “playing field” must be leveled as to eliminate winners and losers. There is no guarantee for prosperity and life is what the individual makes of it. But, somehow, you believe meddling is your right and your job. This meddling creates addiction of those you believe you are helping, which likens you to drug dealers. That is what socialism is–an addictive society where no one gets ahead and everyone loses. That is not how the United States operates (or is suppose to operate) yet you do this without our permission while wasting our money. Everyone deserves the right to win or lose by their talents, gambles and capabilities. It is what drives human nature to continue; aspirations. Heaven knows that your track record of winners and losers is abysmal at best and that you carry the longest odds, by any book betting house, of achieving your goals successfully. In other words, you are and continue to, fail the the citizens.

What the people aren’t seeing is morals and ethics. The government is not, nor was it ever intended to be the people’s charity. You have a job. When you were hired, it wasn’t to a position of stature. In actuality, you descended to a position of servitude, which puts you below us, your boss, as a rung on the ladder. We are in a state of malaise, where every action or inaction about this Congress causes dismay and harm. Your petty grandstanding gives no vision farther ahead than today, and our outlook for the future is bleak because of scare tactics and lip service from you. We are a flock without a Shepard, left to roam unfamiliar territory and in fear of harm. You create an entitlement society without the means to pay for it, or the want of the people to have it, and make us slaves. You coddle a few at the expense of most, for no discernable benefit. This enslaves us all the more. Don’t subsidize anything. Let the market work as it will. Stop trying to “help” us so much. You are out of your element. Don’t worry about our medical as it puts more costs upon us while driving personnel out of the field. Don’t buy friendship from other countries when our strength, freedom and resolve will be an aspiring model to those who wish to follow. Morality and ethics take care of most social issues. God’s laws and the family as core of a society gives our country its greatness. Stop picking on classes and social sects of society. Creating a boogeyman to serve your purpose or ideologies is wrong and disingenuous. The only boogeyman that we are aware of is the U.S. Government. Stop playing party politics and DO YOUR JOBS. Passing budgets, getting vetoes and having to redo is all part of the process. Having these come to the floor is necessary so that we, the people, can see who and how we are being served. Worry about drug resistant diseases when you consider immigration and visitor visas. Take the money from inane research and put it towards curable research. Make real decisions and commitments, not pomp and circumstance.

I could go on but I liken this to speaking to my child, who is not mature enough to fathom its understanding. No, this is not being disrespectful, not when it is my truth, my belief and what your body shows to me. You pretend that your work is 24/7, 365 and that is what you are being paid for. You also pretend to sacrifice your “own” time to take care of critical issues. We aren’t fooled nor is there a need to give you paid vacations. The need is to shorten your time is session, commit and complete your workload, and then go home, without pay, till the next session. That’s when you can grease palms, campaign, and do the speech circuit. To say that Congress is out of hand is rhetorical. We, the people, are just a bit fed up and angered by this city in the clouds mentality. I know I am. I think some changes about who may vote in an election (as in disallowing those on certain government doles, being banned for a determined amount of time, since this is one of the pandering techniques used to skew favor) as well length of sessions, congressional pay and benefits, and term limits are on the horizon. It is being brought about by the “business as usual” mentality of government which has become thread bare and out of vogue. It was brought about by others previously and you only continue to exacerbate the problem, enslaving us still further to your personal whims. It needs to stop…!

Memo to Congress members: your furlough is imminent.

Your employer,

Well, if you were stoned then you may believe anything. Co. tourism is gearing up on how to promote their state as a place you want to visit. The biggest attraction seems it will be “Come get high with us……LEGALLY!” I wonder if they are prepared for the snowboarding and ski accidents while high? How about some hottub drownings? Sorry, I forgot that Maryjane is a “safe” drug. Restaurants and 7-11′s should do a whooping business. I just don’t see these bozos paying $600 + RT airfare to buy 5 to 10 joints so that they can legally smoke in the open when they could buy an ounce illegally and smoke in their house. I am curious to see how they will advertise this. One drawback may be the dregs that come and stay for the high and end up on the rolls of the unemployed and on the dole of the government. The grand experiment seems to be gaining speed. But, hey, that is what makes America great–the individuality of the States. Colorado is for potheads. New York is for heroin. New Jersey is for bestiality. Kentucky is for incest. Washington is for homosexuals. I mean, the possibilities are endless.
