Only a dolt like me would listen to the filibuster going on in the Senate. Ted Cruz started talking at 2:41 edt and I have been listening since I got home from work at 4. I have listened to all those talking heads in the know saying that this is the wrong way to go about defunding Obamacare. They call it political theatre. Maybe, but I’m not seeing it. The cameras won’t show the Senate chamber because I’m sure (thru some side glimpses) that it is mostly deserted. At least I haven’t seen one democrat yet. Surprisingly, there are many republican senators asking questions during Cruz’s speech. There are even some of the House members sitting in on it. What is interesting is the extent and detail Cruz is going through. There are statements coming in from all states of people already being affected by Obamacare. Cruz, and others, talk about who brought Obamacare to us, what was said, what wasn’t said and how it got rammed down our throats. The illegal changes to the law by Obama, how the government and special interests are exempt and all financial reports showing its impending failure. If people were made to watch this, they would be up in arms over the antics of Reid and the dems. Cruz has already lambasted senate demsnfor not passing a budget, giving no consideration from ANY repubs and how the senate has been failing to do its job. Shoot, people would have torches and pitchforks looking for Reid right now if they were watching C-Span. If you get a chance, tune it in. Same issues mostly that have been covered here since 2010. Too bad it doesn’t get enough attention to light up Congress’ switchboard to make a difference. Who knows. Maybe it will.
