For a 3 year old, everything is an adventure. When your Dad works for Dreamworks and does home videos, those adventures really come alive. You’ll enjoy this.
This is AWESOME! Thank you for sharing it!
Just for fun. A friend sent this to me. Thought I’d oblige by sharing.
During the 3-1/2 years of World War II that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the US produced 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3 million machine guns, and 2.5 million military trucks. We put 16.1 million people in uniform in the various armed armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle of the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb, and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.
It’s worth noting that, during the almost exact amount of time, the Obama Administration couldn’t build a functioning website for ACA.
True, but in the defense of those poor folks trying to build that website according to the law, building guns, tanks, ships, aircraft, etc., involves designing to the Laws of Physics, which actually make sense.
Wolv, are advocating a deficit equal to the ones we ran in WWII? That would be impressive!!
If Obama were President then, the Day of Infamy speech would’ve been given in March of ’42, (his fund-raising calendar was just chock full), he’d have apologized for our embargo that left the Japanese little choice but to strike us, and the Japanese flag would’ve flown over Hawaii – but he’d draw a red line at the West Coast, saying if they invaded there, he might be really disappointed.
Not to worry, in 1945, the Manhattan Project would’ve yielded the ultimate weapon – the Intercontinental Ballistic Hashtag, personally delivered by the FLOTUS on a piece of cardboard.
Meh, money spent on the website and all those failed state exchanges wasn’t any different from the stimulus, cash for clunkers, green energy, the Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator, etc – I mean, *someone* benefited, right? What does it matter if it (they) actually works or not . . ?
Good one, Eric. I think that repost is just saying that Democrats like Roosevelt and Truman used to know how to keep on top of things and manage them successfully, even when called to pinch-hit as Truman was. The current crowd? Well, no. More like: “Well, doggone, it’s not my fault. Nobody told me the thing was going to be a total mess!” That may be why Obama said “You didn’t build that!” Jealousy. He knew he couldn’t do it.
Well, well. Judicial Watch has the gonads of Sen Carl Levin (D-Michigan) in a vise concerning his email consultations with IRS Washington about targeting Tea Party applicants. And ICE has reportedly been ordered not to respond to questions about the release of thousands of illegal immigrant detainees with outstanding criminal charges, including rape and murder.
Seems like every day some kind of smelly ooze squeezes out of the liberal Dem camp.
Well, this IS the most transparent administration ever — we can see right through them!
U.S. Frees 36,007 Illegal Aliens With Serious Criminal CONVICTIONS
If the Usurper isn’t lying, bowing or apologizing, he’s putting the lives of our citizens and country in danger.
The Usurper basically stopped deportations some time ago. The figures that they quote as deportations are the illegals caught at the border and sent right back. They claim the system is broke, it is not broke — Nothing is being enforced.
Just for fun — sort of. Remember the cross-shaped steel beams which became an emblem of remembrance in the rubble of the fallen Twin Towers? They are now in the new 9/11 Museum in New York City. Well, the AP reports from New York that an atheist group has sued, so far unsuccessfully, seeking to stop the display of the “cross.”
God Bless America…..Or am I not allowed to say that anymore?
Just for fun — maybe.
From FedBizOps.Gov. US Department of Agriculture solicitation of submachine guns No. USDAOIGWEA-5-7-14 (7 May 2014).
“…commercial acquisition of submachine guns…40 cal…..S&W…ambidextrous safety…semi-automatic or 2 short burts(sp?) trigger group…titanium night sights for front and rear…magazine 30 rd capacity…rails for attachment of flashlight (front under foregrip) and scope, top rear….stock collapsible or folding…magazine 30 rd capacity…”
Oh, my, our corn and beans must be causing trouble again.
Might have something to do with investigating smugglers, Wolv
Could be, Eric. But their claimed law enforcement scope is a lot larger than smuggling. They do make arrests on numerous USDA matters — or so they claim. However, submachine guns? That sounds like SWAT. I know USDA OIG participates in raids on criminal enterprises involving SNAP cheating and other USDA programs but usually, it seems to me, in conjunction with the FBI and local law enforcement. I get the feeling that they are moving toward more law enforcement militarization just like so many other federal agencies and local and state police forces. Or they are part of the overall response team in case of a major natural or terrorist disaster. In any case, we seem to be getting surrounded by SWAT. I notice that the USDA is not responding to questions about the submachine gun solicitation ad.
I saw in the news not long ago that a family in California was awakened in the middle of the night by a SWAT raid. It apparently involved how the parents had filled out some government form at the local school. The thing was resolved on the spot, and everyone was released. Who raided the place? According to the the parents, they were told that the raiding SWAT was from the US Department of Education. Good Lord!!
It is getting to the point where we may need some sort of computerized scorecard in order to keep track of all the Obama administration scandals.
Nice. VA Democrat Suggests Killing Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin and Elisabeth Hasselbeck in Tweet
He wants to unseat Cantor. Was the tweet just for fun?
Cantor has become a major flip-flopper, but this guy needs to excuse himself from the ballot. The comments are very interesting.
Just for fun — Here’s an item from the UK Daily Mail of 5-18-14 quite worthy of note: “Curing the NHS of Socialist Dogma”
There is a hospital in Cambridgeshire called Hinchingbrooke. It was part of the UK National Health Service and was running more than 40 million UK Pounds in the red. It also had a terrible reputation for patient care.
Despite the protests of socialist Labourites, the government-run hospital was turned over in 2012 to a private company in an effort to rescue the place. This past year, Hinchingbrooke broke even; and a small budget surplus is expected next year. But beyond that, the hospital received one of the top awards in the UK for efficient and productive patient care. The company manages the hospital in close cooperation with the doctors and nurses on staff. Obviously an application of best fiscal and management practices by the private sector.
Just for fun – hey are you guys ready to throw in the towel on these same sex marriage bans yet? Seems a Bush appointee just overturned PA’s ban and, of course, Oregon’s ban permanently fell last week as well. I mean why even bother the SCOTUS about it at this point…?
Just for fun — Eric, are you ready yet to end your support of a “liberal” WH administration which lies so frequently to all of us either by commission or omission?
I would if they were, Wolv, but they are not so your question is invalid since it is built on a false premise. Should I take your response as a resounding “hell no!!”?
Eric –Are you telling me that Obama and his crowd do not lie? Are you kidding? Arrrg!!
Hmmmm. I’ll be right over with a case of Grandma’s Special Balm and Ointment. Cures every disease known to mankind. For just 10,000 bucks (payable to me in cash) you can become the sole distributer for all of Western Loudoun. Guaranteed to make you a wealthy man.
Not kidding, Wolv.
Wolv, Republican governor Corbett just threw in the towel in PA. You sure he got your “fight on!” memo?
A shame that.
Not kidding, Eric? Does that mean that you cannot see the lies or you don’t mind being the recipient of them?
JOKE OF THE WEEK
This one comes to us from Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland. After Nancy Pelosi had decided to appoint five Dems to the House Select Committee on Benghazi, including Cummings as the head of the group, Cummings remarked:
“I believe we need someone in that room to simply defend the truth.”
It means they are a construct of your own doing, Wolv.
A construct of my own doing?!!! Puleeeese, my friend. Stop following the Pied Piper from 1600.
Big lies. Little lies. And everything in between. Scapegoating to boot. I am beginning to wonder if these libs are so deep into mendacity that they no longer even realize they are doing it. But it’s my own “construct.” I came up with that “rogue” bunch of IRS employees in Cincinnati all on my own. Didn’t even realize I had done it.
“But it’s my own “construct.” I came up with that “rogue” bunch of IRS employees in Cincinnati all on my own.”
Nope, it has nothing to do with your construct, Wolv.
Hmmm. So, since this was the orginal scapegoating excuse given by the administration, you agree that it is a real lie and not a devised construct of any kind?
Now, how about this one? In 2013, the Associated Press (AP) reported that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had recently released about 2000 illegal aliens from detention facilities. DHS and the White House responded that only a few hundred had been released. Then DHS Secrtary Napolitano went on to say that the AP story was not accurate and had developed its own “mythology.” Not long after, however, the Director of ICE went before a House committee and stated under oath that the release had comprised 2,228 illegal aliens.
Another plain old lie, or are you going to try to play more philosophical word games? I tell you, large issues or small, these libs seem to resort reflexively to mendacity. Beware the Pied Piper.
“Hmmm. So, since this was the orginal scapegoating excuse given by the administration, you agree that it is a real lie and not a devised construct of any kind?”
No. One is not evidence of the other. I also do not agree with your primary characterization of “scapegoating”.
“Now, how about this one? In 2013, the Associated Press (AP) reported that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had recently released about 2000 illegal aliens from detention facilities. DHS and the White House responded that only a few hundred had been released. Again this is no proof of lying. That is your own construct.
LOL. The ultimate state of liberal denial.
Same sex marriage ban falls now in Wisconsin. Do I hear an “uncle” yet?
Christians do not say “uncle” to Satan. We fight him and his lies until our dying breath.
“Christians do not say “uncle” to Satan. We fight him and his lies until our dying breath.”
Gays are not satan, Jack.
No, Wolv, Wisconsin, glad!!
Just read about Wisconsin. Looks like another Federal judge once again threw a whole state into legal confusion with a “What did she say?” decision.
Nothing disgusting about an injustice being resolved, Wolv.
There is no justice in sin, Troll.
“There is no justice in sin, Troll.”
Certainly plenty of injustice in your form of piety, Jack
Justice will be served, Troll. They trade a little fun now for much weeping and gnashing of teeth later.
And you “celebrate” that.
Alas, Jack, the pious have always attempted to excuse their injustices on such grounds (how else could they live with the harm they do to their human being). You are no different (and on the wrong side of history).
I’m happy to be on the wrong side of history. YOU are on the wrong side of GOD.
“Alas, Jack, the pious…”
Should actually read “…the falsely-pious….”
“I’m happy to be on the wrong side of history.”
You have stellar (read with sarcasm) company with which to spend eternity.
> You have stellar (read with sarcasm) company with which to spend eternity.
What you say in mockery, I take in pride. My pride is in Jesus Christ.
I hope someday you’ll join us.
> My pride is in Jesus Christ.
Well, Jesus Christ was on the RIGHT side of history so obviously I was not referring to Him. Very interesting choice of words. Usually do not associate “pride” with salvation, y’know.
Wisconsin. Absolutely disgusting.
> Jesus Christ was on the RIGHT side of history so obviously I was not referring to Him.
“If you love me, obey my commandments.” (John 14:15)
> Usually do not associate “pride” with salvation, y’know.
“I have pride therefore in Yeshua The Messiah in the presence of God.” (Romans 15:17)
“Wisconsin. Absolutely disgusting.”
Why, Wolv, do you find the removal of injustice in the law “disgusting”?
What’s the purpose of your inquiry?
A yearning to comprehend what appears to be incomprehensible, Wolv.
Use of the term “incomprehensible” does not speak well for you. “Sad” and “absolutely disgusting” are expressions which pretty well define my personal reaction to this Wisconsin court decision and to the whole subject in general. My personal moral principles are not much different than those of anyone else on this side of the issue at hand and are well known. Since my moral principles are never up for barter, trade, sale, or surrender, there is no point in exchanging debating barbs with anyone who opposes them.
There is never justice in sin, Troll.
Wolv, I am only asking why you find injustice to be moral and good and justice and a return fairness in the law to be immoral, “sad”, and “disgusting”. If you do not wish to discuss, that is your right and choice. No problems here.
Justice and fairness, heh? Those words are a double-edged sword when used by the left. It all depends on whose justice and fairness you ascribe. GOD? Society? Satan? All relative.
Progs cannot define the words FAIR and JUST.
In their eyes, it is FAIR to take what someone has earned to give it to someone who has not. To them, it is JUST to force people to violate their religious beliefs.
They are disgusting.
“It all depends on whose justice and fairness you ascribe. GOD? Society? Satan? All relative”
When discussing the law and its application in the US, it is pretty clear. Given that the courts (with both Republican and Deomocratic appointed judges) have unanimously sided with supporters of marriage equality, this issue is far from muddy. The only way to suiggest that justice has not been served is to throw out the very document on which this country is built in favor of theocratic rule. What is also becoming perfectly clear as each case is decided is that you and others on this board would be perfectly fine with such a “solution”.
“They are disgusting.”
Nothing to argue with but ad hominems…. a sure sign of a lost cause.
“When discussing the law and it’s application in the US, it is pretty clear.”
It is? From what I have seen too many times is that law is MADE at the bench–not defined. And when defined, it is the interpretation of the judge (influenced by the “sway” of societal norms of the times) without regard to understanding of the law at the time of it’s making. Then, when the people decide to change a law in their state by a majority vote, it is interpreted unconstitutional from an interpreted definition by some judge. If it is so clear cut, why then are there descenting judges with differing understanding? So now, what is just?
So now we must make it happen by the application of fairness. What is fair? No competition in school because we don’t want hurt feelings? Equal wages for deadbeats, average and workaholics in the employment place? Having society (read: people that work for their wages) pay for an individual to have a sex change because he/she/it doesn’t feel “right” in the body that they were born with? How about opening our borders so that all people of the world can live on our dole and generosity because they are unwilling to change their own country? Fair? Just? The law? Lots of platitudes, Troll, but you always seem to be on the wrong side with the wrong conclusion. You absolutely have no real understanding of what fair and just is.
” Then, when the people decide to change a law in their state by a majority vote, it is interpreted unconstitutional from an interpreted definition by some judge.”
Is there something, in your opinion, about a law being passed by the majority in a state that somehow makes it automatically constitutional? That seems far fetched.
“If it is so clear cut, why then are there descenting judges with differing understanding?”
In this case, there are no dissenting judges. The rulings have unanimously been on the side of marriage equality.
There you have it, Eric. You asked for a discussion but immediately tried to set the parameters of that discussion with a biased accusation. I have much less patience with that tactic than even the late Barbara Curtis, if you get that nuanced poke in the ribs.
The moving finger writes; and having writ,
Moves on: not all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line
Nor all they Tears wash out a word of it.
What biased accusation, Wolv? There was no bias nor accusation involved at all. You labelled a ruling that returns equality to the law as disgusting. I simply asked why?
I think it ironic that you would invoke the spirit of Barbara Curtis while claiming unfair debate tactics on the part of others. Ironic indeed.
The poke hit a nerve.
> Your comment“They are disgusting.”
> Nothing to argue with but ad hominems…. a sure sign of a lost cause.
Troll obviously does not know what an an hominem argument is.
” You labelled a ruling that returns equality to the law as disgusting.”
Huh? Please tell me when the “equality” was vacated from the law?
”Huh? Please tell me when the “equality” was vacated from the law?”
You really need to read Windsor v. US, Act. Luckily, the judges in these cases have and now realize that ‘diistinctions based on sexual orientation are subject to the “heightened scrutiny” standard of review and that “equal protection prohibits peremptory strikes based on sexual orientation”‘ as cited in SmithKline v. Abbott (not even a same sex marriage case).
Woot, woot!! and shout out to David Brat for taking down Cantor and for breathing life into the Tea Party. Hurrah! I was really getting worried that they were going to roll over and die there for awhile…and we get rid of Cantor in the process. Yes!!
Hey, can you guys pay some attention to Sarah Palin? She is threatening to abandon you Republicans over immigration but WE certainly don’t want her. She’s your piece of work, not ours!!
Well, you have come a long way from NOT defining your party affiliation to ABSOLUTELY defining it. After all these years of dodging the answer. Of course, it would have been easier (as it always is) to just tell the truth in the first place but when spin is what you do, the truth never comes easy. She can abandon Republicans if she wants to. Just as long as she doesn’t abandon her conservative principles.
“Well, you have come a long way from NOT defining your party affiliation to ABSOLUTELY defining it. After all these years of dodging the answer.”
What are you talking about? I have always been clear about my liberalism. There is no mistaking the fact that I am a liberal. You are a very confused person, Act.
