The Trump/Russia collusion story is starting to turn into a constitutional crisis. Not because President Trump colluded with the Russians. He didn’t. Not because NOT-President Clinton paid Russians for a dossier so fake it wouldn’t even get published in Penthouse Letters. No, the constitutional crisis comes from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s witch hunt.

There is a real problem when unaccountable and infinitely funded government agents are assigned to investigate people looking for crimes they may have committed, rather than to investigate crimes looking for the people who may have committed them.

Such witch hunts serve to discourage those who work for Trump, and any who would work for any Republican presidential candidate in the future. The only crimes we see in the Russia collusion investigation are the fake dossier, which was apparently paid for by the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and the FBI that refused to indict Clinton when it should have, and the use of that fake dossier to get wiretaps on Trump’s campaign staff. Those crimes need to be investigated. If we don’t get to the bottom of it, and put the people responsible in prison, we can kiss the Republic goodbye.
