Where you are held accountable for your convictions and record

Back in the old days there used to be a Democrat party (blue dog Dems) that where different from the GOP in that they tried to be charitable with YOUR money in giving others “freebies”. That was pretty much the difference between the two parties. Reagan came along and re-instilled values and responsibilities in government. Not perfect but absolutely on the road to recovery. Bill Clinton even helped to further some initiatives that instilled respect and responsibilities in the citizenry (no, I am not talking about Clinton as a role model). Then things started going way south

Remember the hippie days of the late 60′s and the “revolution”? That upset the apple cart. Radicals hated the government and did things to change societies’ mindset of how things should be. They started infecting things like our school systems and Congress by taking seats in these institutions. It has gone downhill from that point. This country became bad and everything that would stood for was bad. Within these institutions they have been successful in indoctrinating the jelly brained. They where capable of getting the MSM on board to further their war on America. The sole idea is to shame others into getting your way. Not because it is value added but because it “feels good and right”. Mental institutions are closed, criminals are released from prison or not even captured because these criminals are just misguided and need a second chance to straighten out. Or third chance, fourth chance, fifth chance,…… These people need and deserve their freedom, or so we are told. Everyone in the world that can’t make a go of it in their own country or refuse to change their own system, DESERVE AND HAVE THE RIGHT to come to our country because we are the world’s honey-pot and these people are owed (or so we are told). You read the news. Unless your head is in the sand, you have seen this happening for decades. If you bought into this ideology then you are the problem.

Many, many years ago and many posts past I warned of where society was going and the “head” which was inevitable. It is here. Now. Many people have Trump syndrome and it has absolutely allowed this Dem…..I will not say they are Dems but rather insane radical socialists…..group to completely go off the rails. Common sense have left most of society and God, morals and ethics have long vacated the premises (actually pushed out of society through shame and guilt). I wasn’t a Trump convert till he won the primary. I also don’t like many things he does but, then again, I am fair across the board in my beliefs. What he has done is bring us from the brink and put pride back into this country. Problem being the radicals can’t get their way because his President doesn’t stand for this nonsense and pushes back. What can the radicals do? VIOLENCE!!!

I absolutely cannot believe what I am seeing on the news nor can I understand how blatantly biased and ignorant the MSM is. The MSM continue to make, build and push the narrative that “good” is bad and “evil” is the American way. Here is where things have gone. I am armed at all times. If I am touched, spit on, have things thrown at me, whistle or bullhorn blown in my ear, I will fight back. This is assault on me and will not be tolerated. Too many others think exactly the same as I. We are being assaulted by terrorists and they hide behind their rights when it suits them but continue to step over the line when it comes to YOUR rights. So many radical rallies by the left where they state “there will be blood”. Well, there should be dialogue but the left continues to stifle or shut that down. They think this is the forefront of a new revolution (RESIST?) but, it appears, they haven’t thought things out. They are relying on “good people” being timid (weren’t they the ones that started this “bullying” initiative everywhere?) so that they can reign their terror unopposed. God teaches, my parents taught and so did society in general: actions have consequences. I don’t think these radicals understand that but there will be a lesson to be learned. Shame. I don’t relish a civil war in this country but that is what is being pushed.

There are liable laws; inciting laws; disorderly conduct laws; harassment laws and assault laws. We need to start enforcing them. Boycott institutions that tear at the fabric of a good society. Shutdown venues that incite radical and disorderly conduct. Incarcerate those that promote terror and violence. We need to take his country back from the loons. Mental institutions need to be built and utilized. We can cure the hunger and homeless in this country. We haven’t tried to cure the stupid. Take back our schools with competent teachers and don’t allow your children to attend “radical” institutions of “higher learning”. There aren’t many real institutions left to learn from. Bottom line is that nothing is going to change until the violent radicals have blood in the streets, which is their wish. Be careful what you wish for!!!

Way too much has occurred in my life over the last couple of years and, unfortunately, priorities have pulled me away from this site. I do have a reason but I will not use it as an excuse. I just want to apologize for what I feel was neglecting you and this site. Although things have calmed down quite a bit, I have changed somewhat and don’t really know the place I am in, although it has been with me for sometime and I have gotten somewhat use to it.

This may seem cryptic but I don’t air personal things to strangers ( nor anyone else that isn’t the closest of friends) so I will just say that I am somewhat back here and just see where and how it goes.

To Wolve, my Yank friend, I hope your wife is okay and on the mend. You are doing exactly what a loving husband should do and you have your priorities straight. I will add your wife to my prayers.

You don’t know who Jose is? Well, he is an illegal immigrant who has been found guilty of 7 felonies and deported from this country 5 times. Yes, 5 TIMES!!! On his 6th return, he was incarcerated in a San Francisco jail when ICE got wind of it and put a detainer on him to the San Fransico’s Sheriffs Department. San Fransico, being a sanctuary city, ignored the detainer and loosed him back into the general population, where he committed further felonies by possessing a gun and murdering Kate Steinly, an innocent just walking down the street with her father. Kate died and Zakarte was found innocent of all death charges. Isn’t San Fransico and America great? How do you feel about this case? I would be interested to know.

The following was posted by a friend of mine on his Facebook page:

So much for FREEDOM of expression! So much for FREE speech!

After I posted that I believe the players have the rights to do whatever they want, kneel or stand during the National Anthem, and I have the right not to watch the games on TV or physically go to the games. But that is not good enough for some people. So unless I support athletes kneeling during the National Anthem, I am a racist!

Freedom of expression and free speech must go both ways. But it does not. A few idiots sent me private messages saying that I am a member of the KKK, a White Supremacist, and I am a Neo Nazi! Of course I blocked them immediately from ever contacting me ever again. They said that the ONLY reason why I succeeded in America after arriving to this country with nothing while not knowing a word of English is because I benefited from White Privileges!

Seriously? Do I look white? I am NOT white just in case if someone needs eye glasses, and yes, I am offended. I respect the flag as well as everyone who served. This is MY personal belief and I am NOT trying to change anyone’s opinion. This also has NOTHING to do with President Trump. I could not care less what he said or did not say. I felt about this long before he said a word about it.

My Father served in the military. He also worked for the US Embassy for many years. He helped many Americans when my former country was fallen to the Communists. He saved many lives, including Americans. Two of my three uncles were in the service and they died. We were allies of the United States to fight Communism in Vietnam.

I had a hand gun pointed at my temple by the Communist Police when I was around 10-11 in the middle of the school yard, in front of all other students, because I refused to stand for the Communist National Anthem. I refused to recognize the Communist Flag. My parents did not even know about this.

After I came to America, I thought things would be different. It sure was, but I was in quite a shock. I do not recall seeing anyone that looked like me in my High School. Just about everyone was white. People looked at me very strangely. I was put in some “retarded” classes because I could not speak English and the school did not know how to handle me. They did not realize that my education was far more advanced than anyone can imagine. Just about everything I was taught in High School was in my curriculum in South Vietnam in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. In fact, quite a few things in my 4 years of college were taught in Vietnam in middle school.
Two of my closest friends in High School are chess players, Chuck Adelman and David Cole. They were as nice and kind to me as possible. They are the only two people I still keep in touch with from High School. And while others were doing homework or enjoying life, I had to work. My first job was at a local Shop Rite, a supermarket chain in NJ. They gave me a job cleaning the toilet and mopping the floor for $3.35 an hour before tax. But since I was too young, around 14-15, they could not give me too many hours. So I had to find other odd jobs to make minimum wages to help my family who were still in Vietnam. Is that the definition of White Privileges?

Around 300 extended members of my wife’s family died in Auschwitz during the Holocaust. So we both have a little bit of a different experience than most others. But we cannot have any opinion because it sometimes may not be the same as others? We have two choices in life. To do everything possible to succeed, or blame everyone and everything for our failures! So instead of wallowing in self-pity because of racism and discrimination, we used our tough life experiences, and our setbacks, to fuel us to succeed.

This is the problem with this country today. Too many people no longer listen. There is no peaceful and respectful dialog. There is very little tolerance on all sides. Name calling is a “normal” thing now. It is easy to insult on Twitter and Facebook. The attitude is how can anyone disagree with me? Something is wrong with you when you cannot go along with what I believe.

I am thankful every day that I live in a FREE country. I am thankful every day that I live in a country where if I work hard, I have an opportunity to succeed. This is not something I will ever take for granted. And no, I will never disrespect the flag of the United States, my second home, a country that gave me a second chance in life.

Please slow down and think just like in chess. Please do not contribute more to the current political vitriol. Be civil and be respectful, especially to those who do not agree with you.

Thank you!

The progs’ stupidity knows no bounds. As evidence, I present a survey given to students in a Sociology class at San Diego State University:

  1. I can arrange to be in the company of people of my race most of the time.
  2. I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed.
  3. I can turn on the television or open to the front page of the paper and see people of my race widely represented.
  4. When I am told about our national heritage or about “civilization,” I am shown that people of my color made it what it is.
  5. I can be sure that my children will be given curricular materials that testify to the existence of their race.
  6. I can go into a music shop and count of finding the music of my race represented, into a supermarket and find the food I grew up with, into a hairdresser’s shop and find someone who can deal with my hair.
  7. Whether I use checks, credit cards, or cash, I can count on my skin color not to work against the appearance of financial responsibility.
  8. I am not made acutely aware that my shape, bearing, or body odor will be taken as a reflection of my race.
  9. I can worry about racism without being seen as self-interested or self-seeking.
  10. I can take a job or enroll in a college with an affirmative action policy without having my co-workers or peers assume I got it because of my race.
  11. I can be late to a meeting without having the lateness reflect on my race.
  12. I can choose public accommodation with out [sic] fearing that people of my race cannot get in or will be mistreated.
  13. I am never asked to speak for all of the people of my racial group.
  14. I can be pretty sure that if I ask to talk with the “person in charge” I will be facing a person of my race.
  15. If a traffic cop pulls me over or if the IRS audits my tax return, I can be sure I haven’t been singled out because of my race.
  16. I can easily by [sic] posters, postcards, picture books, greeting cards, dolls, toys, and children’s magazines featuring people of my race.
  17. I can choose blemish cover or bandages in “flesh” color and have them more or less match my skin.
  18. I can do well in a challenging situation without being called a credit to my race.
  19. I can walk into a classroom and know I will not be the only member of my race.
  20. I can enroll in a class at college and be sure that the majority of my professors will be of my race.

Almost every single one of those instances of “white privilege” is nothing more than a result of Whites’ being the majority of people in the United States. A friend’s daughter is in college in Japan. She is White. Naturally, she has almost all of the same issues, even more so, than Blacks do here. But let’s look at those that are NOT merely the result of Whites’ being the majority in the U.S.:

I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed.

Well, why would you get harassed? Do Asians get harassed? Do Semites? Do Indians? No. So if you get harassed, it has nothing to do with your not being White, but something else.

Whether I use checks, credit cards, or cash, I can count on my skin color not to work against the appearance of financial responsibility.

Again, do Asians, Semites, and Indians have these problems? If not, then it has nothing to do with your not being White.

I can take a job or enroll in a college with an affirmative action policy without having my co-workers or peers assume I got it because of my race.

That is a perfectly reasonable assumption for them to make. If people of your race could normally get in, there would be no need for the affirmative action policy in the first place.

I can be late to a meeting without having the lateness reflect on my race.

Perhaps you should get to meetings on time (or even early), and let THAT reflect on your race. If the vast majority of your race made meetings on time, then this would not be a problem.

I can choose public accommodation with out [sic] fearing that people of my race cannot get in or will be mistreated.

There is never an excuse to mistreat a customer, and I do not know of any establishment of public accommodation that rejects customers based on their race.

If a traffic cop pulls me over or if the IRS audits my tax return, I can be sure I haven’t been singled out because of my race.

The Infernal Revenue Service has no idea what your race is, and they don’t care. Audits are chosen by computer formula, and race is not part of that formula. As for the traffic cop, believe me it is very difficult to determine the race of a driver of a car going 70mph at radar range. Just obey the traffic laws.

I can do well in a challenging situation without being called a credit to my race.

Once again it must be asked, do Semites and Indians and Asians have this problem? If not, then it has nothing to do with your not being White.

This, of course, necessitates a little Statler and Waldorf:

Waldorf: [responding to Paul Williams doing "Old Fashioned Love Song"] He’s a credit to his race.
Statler: What race is that?
Waldorf: The hundred-yard dash.

I saved this one for last, to put it in the place of (dis)honor, as it was particularly stupid:

I can worry about racism without being seen as self-interested or self-seeking.

Well, it self-interested and self-seeking. If you are seen that way, it is because you are.

What is perceived as White Privilege is, in the vast majority of instances, such as the ones not addressed individually, merely the result of the fact that Whites are the majority in the United States. The other instances are the result of the fact a Black person is more likely to be a criminal than is a White person, is more likely to default on a loan (even at similar levels of income and debt burden), is more likely to have a lower IQ, and is more likely to have gotten accepted to a college or a job because of affirmative action policies.

None of those things has anything to do with skin color. (IQ may be a possible exception, because of the lower production of Vitamin D in dark-skinned pregnant women may have an effect on their babies. The research here is thin, at best.) These are not effects of skin color, but of culture.

I have tried to divest myself of politics for some time now. I rarely watch the news and only listen to news radio when driving at work. I am so dismayed and disillusioned with the pettiness and ignorant pursuits into individuals past rather than doing the people’s business. It is hard to believe that The Republican Party has the reigns yet they act just as much Democrat as the liberals do. Moreover, citizens (use the term loosely here) keep voting these same con artist scumbags back into office because they, these constituents, are still the ignorant lemmings they have always been. I have also lost my faith in these people because they don’t act like concerned citizens but more like greedy, selfish freeloaders.

I listened to the news tonight and found that some Democrat Senators are being accused of “groping” women and their “fan base”, fellow Democrats, are protecting them BECAUSE they aren’t Republicans. Pissing match over some directorship of an illegal Obama created adency. Pocahontas Warren is upset and was called out by Trump as a fraud. Meanwhile 6 or 7 Senators can’t get onboard for tax reform. This is it? This is what Congress works for? About to go on another break and nothing getting done again. Truly pathetic and showing good reason why they shouldn’t receive retirement or free healthcare or most other perks. They have already set up ways to get rich while stifling American progress.

ACT is a really caring and passionate individual with a heart of gold. Always wanting to help others in any way I can. Opinionated, yes, but always looking for ways to better myself and learn to let go of the things I can’t control or change. I have had some major pitfalls and crisis in my life over the past couple years. Keeping the Christmas spirit and my GOD ever present during these times has allowed me to endure and rebound; ever smiling and avoiding those things that promote negative feelings. While shopping the other day, looking for my Christmas puzzles to distract me and satisfy my time, I jumped over to the DVD section to get my latest addition to my Star Wars collection when a movie caught my eye. I didn’t see it in the theaters and it just won’t come out on prime so I decided to buy it. The movie was called “13 Hours” and is the account of the real story of what happened at Benghazi (not the complete account as the information is being stifled by the Dems). I have watched it 3 times in two days and each session has the same affect as the others. I shake my head and cry. It makes me sick, sad and mad. It brought back why I was on here in the first place yet, other than the continual phone calls and emails to Congress, I know that nothing has changed and won’t get resolved.

This movie, along with all the other egregious acts of the Obama administration and its cronies, are yanking me back to the conflict. I really don’t have the energy to go through and hash this over once again. How wonderful this country could be if we took all the “breaks and holidays” away from Congress and made them do their work. The work that still needs to be done is to get all the information about these issues that has plagued us for so long. Stalling or obstruction needs to be immediately met with jail time. As Hillbilly would say, no one is above the law and she, and all other criminals in the administration, should be brought to justice. When these acts end up being punished with long prison terms or execution, I believe that much of the criminal Congressional and cabinet elements would cease to be. I find that if there is no accountability then people tend to be bolder the next time they commit acts of criminality or treason. It is never too late and there should never be a statute of limitations on acts of this kind.

The movie is worth watching, if you can. It is graphic and emotional, but most of all it shows how the people who are there care the most and try to do the right thing when the system fails them. This is the problem with politics, politicians and the bureaucracy of today in America. You can bet your last dime that whatever happens, when you need help or relief, the system will always fail you.

It is said that racism is learned. (Of course, others say Whites are born racist.) If something is learned, then it must be taught, either directly or by personal experience.

Direct teaching occurs when one person teaches another, as in a parent-child relationship or a teacher-student relationship. We could expect racist parents to produce racist children.

Personal experience is altogether different. If one watches the news, and sees that people of one race are over-represented in positions of authority, and that people of another race are over-represented in prison, one might, consciously or unconsciously, develop a racist mindset. If one is in school, and sees one race outperform the others, while another under-performs the others, one might develop a racist mindset.

But what is a “racist mindset”? Is it racist to note that Blacks commit crime at much higher rates than other races? Is it racist to note the under-performance of Blacks in school? Is it racist to note that Blacks are disproportionately likely to be on the dole? Is it racist to note that Blacks are more likely to have children out of wedlock? Is it racist to note that “the black–white disparity in debt is greatest at the highest levels of parents’ net worth”? [^]

No, these are facts. Facts are not racist. The problem comes in using facts about groups to pre-judge individuals in those groups. And that happens. Two identical resumes, one from DeMayne Johnson and the other from Alexander Weinstein, will not be treated the same. Neither will two such mortgage applications.

Affirmative Action just exacerbates the problem. If lesser-qualified Blacks are as likely as more-qualified Whites to be admitted to a particular college, and if that college gives extra help to the Black student to get him through, then equivalent resumes do not really reflect equivalent ability and achievement. If companies promote lesser-qualified Blacks over more qualified White to meet racial quotas, then equivalent resumes do not reflect equivalent ability and achievement.

Affirmative Action in mortgage lending doesn’t help either. Lenders are not in the business of losing money, so are more likely to give sub-prime mortgages to those people who are more likely to default. Research in the industry indicates that “Black households have higher marginal default rates, controlling for differences in borrower and property characteristics.” In this case, as in others, “White Privilege” is the result of White behavior, taken in the aggregate. When controlling for other factors, Whites are less likely to default, so Whites get the privilege of better loan terms.

Is charging Blacks more for loans racist? You betcha! But what is to be done? Lenders make a lot of loans, and the aggregate actions of the borrowers affect the lenders’ returns. If you make it illegal to charge Blacks more, then lenders will find ways to make fewer loans to Blacks.

Black men, even when adjusting for income and other factors, have higher mortality rates than do White men. Should they pay more for life insurance? Of course! It is racist? You betcha! But what is to be done? If charging different rates for life insurance is illegal, then insurers will find ways to write fewer policies for Blacks. (Similarly, women between the ages of twenty and fifty cost health insurers more, and cost car insurers less. The prices of health insurance and car insurance should reflect those facts. Is that sexist? You betcha!)

Now, having higher mortality, do Blacks get more Social Security? No! Is that racist? Do Blacks get better returns on annuities? No! Is that racist?

Racism is, unfortunately, a reality. There are racial gaps in educational attainment, crime rates, life-spans, and loan default rates. The problem is not really racism, but prejudice. PRE-judging people based on race (or sex) is wrong.
