Loudoun Republicans Win — Loudoun Insider Loses

Monday, March 8th, 2010

by Jacob
Mark Sell and Candace Strother both ran excellent campaigns. The campaigns were both polished, organized and motivated. There was a lot of energy expended on this contest. Both of the campaigns put out scads of emails, mailers and made multiple public appearances and speeches. This is a blessing. What we had was a rare chance to vote for someone, as opposed to choosing the lesser of evils by voting against someone. Greg L summed it up perfectly in his post over at BVBL. By all accounts Mark’s speech after the vote tally was announced, was gracious.

The real question is now that the Chairman has been chosen, is he going to be given a chance to lead? Over at TC, LI showed all of us that he is really not worth our time. His hatred for Susanne Volpe is personal, as is his hatred of Mark. It stems from an old feud. A feud whose details most do not know, and frankly do not want to. It is old potatoes. LI is obviously unhinged by this hatred. Some say “He is intense.” He is not intense. Greg Stone is intense. LI on the other hand is small, oh so very, very small. So small that I hope that none take notice of the nonsense we saw on TC, after the tally, on election day. The LCRC’s crazy aunt in the attic got loose, and threw a hissy fit. Nothing to see, move along people. It was designed to cause a rift in our party. I recommend we disappoint LI by not allowing his spew to ignite a fresh round of inter-Republican fighting. Today LI is the Democrat’s best friend.

Some of the calls for unity from the many who agree with LI are dishonest, for they come with demands and give Mark no quarter. “My way or the highway”, is the tune. Glen lead the LCRC as he saw fit. Let Mr. Sell lead as he see’s fit. Give Mark a real chance. To the honest conservatives who supported either Candace or Mark, I say, “Look forward and forget the sordid past.” We cannot afford to dwell on it. The BOS is raising the property taxes at the rate of 1 cent per month. Does anyone want to help LI tear the party down in the light of that? We need to get the budget under control. This demands that we allow our elected chairman the time to set the plan he began to outline during the campaign into motion — a plan that puts a target on the backs of those very board members.

This election was about who is going to lead the campaign against the Democrats. Not who is going to get to pick who is ‘in’ and who is ‘out’ at the LCRC. Does anyone here think that 970 people showed up on a Saturday in March to take part in a popularity contest? Republicans are energized and are looking for leadership that can show the Democrats on the BOS the door in 2011. Mark Sell ran the campaign that brought in 512 people. Candace brought in 458. Guess what? Both of the candidates ran good campaigns. Both candidates demonstrated leadership. We need the teams they both assembled going forward.

The winner has been chosen. Ignore the idiots who are looking to blow up the party. The two candidates ran clean, professional campaigns; this is cause for celebration. We have talent in our committee, behind which we should be able to unify. Actually, we must — it is not an option. Ignore the crazy aunts in the attic. Especially those who are looking to air out our dirty laundry in the public square in front of the Democrats. We will disagree, but can we do it in a civil manner in private? Glen ran the show the past two years without continuous public sniping while he was getting the campaign in gear. Can we all focus on the real enemy?

Leadership And Vision

As we come to the end of the campaign for the LCRC Chair, I am asking people to consider what my esteemed compatroit Greg Stone has said. It is about leadership. Mr Stone it absolutely correct. We need the best possible leadership for the upcoming campaigns. We are dealing with a majority of Democrats and Independents in the BOS in 2011. We will need to contend with recruiting potential candidates for these seats. This challenge comes with the large pool of volunteers that will be needed. The new candidates will need help from our LCRC, and for this the GOP in LC will need a plan. Mark Sell has the vision and the plan in place to lead us going forward …

Recruiting the right candidates–
Candidates who know how to create jobs, meet a payroll, and keep a budget!

Raising Money to support those candidates–
Systematically leverage our revived and energized Republican base here in Loudoun to widen, deepen, and diversify our fundraising pool.

Resource state-of-the-art campaigns–
with world-class websites, research, and polling.

Reach Loudoun–
We are not going to give up a single group, demographic or individual voter to our opposition but will reach out to the independents, moderate Democrats, and minority groups who share our values.

Roasting the current Democrat/Independent Majority on the Board of Supervisors–
and their job-wrecking, business-busting, tax-and-spend-and-tax-some-more policies that are leading Loudoun tiptoeing down the road to fiscal ruin.

Please take some time to read the plan and vist Mark’s website: http://www.sell4chairman.com/

You will see that Mark has the plan the vision and an understanding of the local scene here in Loudoun that will lead to the ouster of the big spenders in 2011.

EASTERN LOUDOUN RPV VICTORY FIELD DIRECTOR ENDORSES MARK SELL FOR LOUDOUN COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Mark Sell, candidate for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee, yesterday released the following statement from Kyle Kunkler, the Eastern Loudoun RPV Victory Field Director in 2009:

I consider Mark to be an instrumental part of the GOP 2009 victory in Loudoun. Mark Sell’s ability to recruit and coordinate volunteer activities was essential. Throughout the campaign season, Mark came through and was able to motivate volunteers time and time again to come out and support our Republican ticket.

Mark was involved in virtually every aspect of the grassroots campaign in Loudoun from door to door events to the staffing of ‘Back-to-School-Night’ events for half of the county to his participation in various festivals, fairs, parades and community events. Mark brought people to these events, and participated, standing shoulder to shoulder with the volunteers that he so frequently was able to motivate into action. Mark also participated in phonebanking, the 72-Hour Task Force, and Election Day Operations. No job is beneath Mark, he knows that in order to lead one must be willing and able to do the grunt work needed to win an election.

Mark Sell always had a can-do attitude, and is ready to do whatever is needed to help a campaign. With his long background of activism in the local Party, Mark understands the nuts and bolts of what it takes to win the ground war. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Party.

Klye was the Virginia Republican Party’s coordinator for eastern Loudoun. He lead the victory team. He oversaw the day to day trench warfare of the political campaign here in eastern Loudoun. The guy knows who brought the goods to the table. Mark Sell kept a steady stream of volunteers coming through the door. Volunteers are the life’s blood of a political campaign, especially at the local county level. The ability to put boots on the ground is called leadership.

It was this kind of leadership that helped make last falls campaign the success that it was. Politics is about advancing an ideology at the balot box. The Republican Party’s stated ideology is conservative. We all are conservatives here in Loudoun GOP. Some conservatives, like Mark, have been giving voice to conservatism for years in the public square. This involves, among other things, running campaigns. With this experience, Mark is able to consistently bring people to events. This is how campaigns are won. This is why Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli endorsed Mark for our Chairman. This is why the 2009 Victory Campaign in Loudoun endorses Mark Sell in 2010 — to take back the BOS in 2011!

The Free Marketplace Of Ideas Which Is NOVATownHall Blog

Friday, March 5th, 2010

by Joe

Dagnabit this is inspiring, and I sincerely hope we can maintain this level of citizen activism in November 2010, November 2011 and November 2012. Especially, 2010 and 2012 – unless we can get an impeachment movement going, which would take some pressure off the 2012 aspect. I have not yet begun cataloging my issues with Joe Biden, although I am sure there are many. (I do have a feeling that the key to running against Joe Biden is, let Joe be Joe.)

For Loudoun County Republican Committee Chair, Jacob supports Mark Sell. See here and here.

Greg Stone and I support Candace Strother. More here and here.

Since I run the blog and pay for it and do all the nasty behind-the-scenes work and field all the complaints, I get to put Candace in the sidebar with her photo – but make no mistake about it: We NVTH people are divided as to who should be the next LCRC leader. But as a testament to our corporate wonderfulness, let it be spoken that the NOVATownHall bloggers are divided, yet free to speak our minds. If he were not so backlogged and short of sleep, we’d probably even let Grigsby chime in.

In any case, I appreciate the diversity of opinion. Whatever happens on Saturday, I am certain we will all be on the same page on Sunday.

And if he is half the man I think he is, Jacob will likely trump this post with another that sends this one lower down the page.

A New Reason Why Voting For Candace Strother Is The Best Choice Tomorrow

Friday, March 5th, 2010

by Joe

I have possibly one new reason you have not heard so far. I will detail this below – but for starters: To vote for Candace Strother as LCRC Chairperson tomorrow, all you have to do is join me, Linda B, CathyMac, Greg Stone, the Monk, and the current leadership of the undeniably successful Loudoun County Republican Committee, and go to the following location:

When: Saturday, March 6, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: Belmont Ridge Middle School (click here for directions)

Show your ID, vote for Candace. It is that simple. Now, here is another reason to do so:

I have now heard from numerous people who are urging me to not vote for Candace Strother, that the key person who has endorsed Candace Strother – current LCRC Chair Glen Caroline – is completely incompetent: Glen Caroline, who took the job of LCRC chairperson when no one else wanted it, and who led the disparate elements of the committee to a united, winning effort in November, 2009; and who won the award as the best unit leader by the state Republican Party in December.

This man – Candace Strother’s opponents keep telling me – supposedly cannot tie his own shoes.

This line of argument has me questioning the veracity and judgment of those telling us not to vote for Candace Strother. It strikes me as borderline unethical to not begin every discussion of Glen Caroline with a THANK YOU for what he accomplished when no one else would even take the job. I happen to like Candace’s opponent a lot, don’t get me wrong, and I have never heard his personal opinion of Glen Caroline – and I forgive my good friends Jacob Ash, Ken Cuccinelli, and others for their difference of opinion. They have obviously not heard the same narrative I have heard, and they are doing what personal loyalty demands which I respect.

But now having heard once more the narrative that the sky is purple, that Glen was a bad leader, I think something is fishy. I think those who are scripting the opposition to Candace Strother are doing so from a position of bad faith. I think it demonstrates a measure of displacement from reality, and when I hear people evangelizing on such a basis I immediately am inclined to do the opposite. I will support whoever wins, but there is a pack of lies going around and I don’t want those spreading it near the controls.

Let’s keep a good thing going here. Join us in voting for Candace tomorrow.

Why Mark Sell is the Right Choice for The LCRC Chairman Today

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

by jacob
Today Loudoun County is at a crossroads. The people need to make a choice, either they can take back control of their government, or, they can leave it to the fiscally challenged Board of Supervisors (BOS) dominated by liberal Democrats. If the choice is to take back control, then Mark Sell is the man for this job. As a life long Republican Mark has been a campaign volunteer, Precinct Captain, Magisterial District Chair and Party Treasurer. Mark has paid his dues and learned the ropes in multiple campaigns. Mark has learned what needs to be done on the ground, in the trenches, to win elections. In the last election Mark was a deputy for Ken Cuccinelli in his successful campaign to become our Attorney General. The McDonnell-Bolling-Cuccinelli team ran as unapologetic conservatives, and won in a landslide.

Mark plan is to field a full suite of candidates, who will build on this momentum. Candidates who will remember their conservative roots, and that their duty is to the people. Candidates who are also unapologetic about their conservatism. Candidates who know that a government that governs well, governs least. Smaller government demands that the spending must be cut. Mark plan is to field a full slate of fiscal conservatives to oust the big spenders on the BOS in 2011, and engage every constituency in our county. This will require seasoned leadership. It is for this reason I support Mark Sell for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Party and ask you to come out and vote him on March 6th, 2010.

We all have seen our party lose its way in this last decade. The spending excesses of our Republican congress, and our local county elected officials resulted in a Republican Party as a small minority. The party deserved what it got. The party must never again forget its fiscal conservative roots. Small government is good government. If we do not reduce spending we cannot reduce taxes without running even higher deficits. Runaway government spending is the root of our economic woes. Mark will find candidates who understand this, and more importantly, will not forget this.

As a long time grass roots activist in Loudoun County, Mark has worked hard to stop the Meals Tax, the increases in the Sales Tax and on other liberal boondoggles, giving voice to our shared Republican and conservative ideals in the public square speaking before our BOS on many occasions, so that the people of Loudoun will not be saddled with even higher taxes. The People of Loudoun deserve better than what they have been burdened with in past years. Loudoun has the highest tax rate of any county in VA. Loudoun even has highest taxes of any county in the South. We can and must do better. To do so, we must win the BOS. To do that we need a leader who has been there, in good times and in bad, and who knows the ropes. Mark Sell will not need on the job training. He will be ready to lead from day one — Mark knows Loudoun.

Senator calls for investigation of Al Gore!

Probably can’t happen until January, but we can wait – it will be here before we know it.

UPDATE: The Nine Lies of the Father of Climate Fraud

Al Gore Is Lying Low – For Good Reason

Hey speaking of profiting from a pack of lies, let’s not forget our local gal, Andrea “who likes to make money” McGimsey. Maybe there’s an area for investigation.

UPDATE II: A Pending American Temperaturegate. How much are you willing to pay in taxes to offset “global warming,” fellow Americans?

Freedom Demands Effort

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Fiscal conservatives unite! Slavery is working 12 months a year and seeing the fruits of that labor taken by someone else. As such a slave derives no personal benefit from his labor. The average American works 5.5 months are year without personal benefit. Therefore we are halfway there to becoming slaves for the government.

Take back your money. Take back your power. You get the government you deserve. Stop sitting on you behinds and watching American Idol. Stop being politically idle, get out there. Get out on the web, get out to your town-halls, and city halls. Find out what your politicians are up to, and give your local, state and federal politicians hell. It’s your money there are wasting. That means it is your time they are wasting. That means it is your lives they are wasting.

Obama Seeks To Enact Austerity Measures – After November

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

You cannot make this stuff up. Obama is in effect saying, “After we are done trying to buy the next election, we stop sending the electorates money.” OK. No worries. Really. You go right ahead. We believe you. Could you please take the ‘kick me’ sign off my back when you are done.

From the Politico:

Trying to win the votes of fiscal moderates, President Barack Obama formally endorsed legislation Saturday creating an independent commission with the power to force Congress to vote on major deficit reduction steps this year, after the November elections.

This is supposed to add momentum to our sagging economy? The public is rolling it eyes at the President. This act stopped being cute a long time ago. I think the President and his friends, Harry and Nancy need to take a time out and a nap. Seriously. The public is not buying the whole ‘Democrats are fiscally frugal’ shtick. The did for about a month around the election, but that was 16 months ago.

The congress and the White house have become a sort of Socialists Romp-a-room. This is where old hippies, who now wear suits go to ’stick it to the man’. News flash to the hippies, they are the man. The spending bill enacted last winter is producing jobs, at the rat of some $400 per job. Some $500B remains unspent. A better idea idea would be to give the money back. Reduce the decifict, and lower taxes. Hippies are good for backing hash laced brownies, not economic thinking.

This crowd is even worse than the previous bunch when it comes to treating the voting public like fools. A commission in November to cut spending? The last time the Obama team went through this exercise it was determined that we need a better way to buy office supplies. A better idea is to bring our spending in line with what is permissible under Article 1 sec 8 of the Constitution. I say, “Austerity Now – Death to Earmarks!!”

update your resume?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

While I might want to have a Republican win the senate seats for Virginia as they come up for election, I also want to stop the health care “reform” that is currently the goal of the liberal politicians.

A simple letter sent to all my representatives:

A Republican elected in Mass. Did you get the message, or do you want to brush up your resume?

Stop health care “reform” now.

I think it might be effective if enough people send something that short and “sweet” to their congressmen. What do you think?

Please note, I’m not saying that I don’t want to change the people, I’m saying this can be used as leverage to stop what could be a true disaster in the meantime.

Election Reform

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

There are two major problems with political campaigns these days.  The first is outside money.  To fix that problem, campaign finance laws should allow only voters registered to vote in the election in which a candidate is running, to contribute to that campaign.  No PACs, no Unions, no corporations.  Only registered voters.  Furthermore, to prevent any hint of “buying a candidate,” all contributions must go through a central clearinghouse and are then disbursed anonymously to the candidates.  Joe Shlabotnik can tell the candidate that he donated $1000, but there would be no way to verify that assertion.

The second problem is incumbency.  Incumbent congresscritters have a significant advantage over challengers.  Term limits are not the answer, because that would restrict voters’ choices, and they may actually have a popular, competent congresscritter.

Now that you have stopped laughing….  Party members are often reluctant to challenge a powerful party member in a primary, and such primary challengers have as difficult a time as general-election challengers do, and perhaps worse.  After all, rarely can one argue policy in a primary, and the challenger obviously has less experience than the incumbent.  So one must argue incompetence.  Well, incompetent compared to what, other politicians?  That’s not a big yard-stick.

Then, in the general election, people tend to vote along party lines, even if their current congresscritter is incompetent, they would rather have an incompetent congresscritter with whom they agree than a competent one with whom they do not agree.

The solution is to insert a no-confidence vote.  If a candidate loses the no-confidence vote, he cannot run for re-election.  The congresscritter’s party will choose another candidate for the general election.

Brown v. Coakley

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Prediction:
The last poll had Brown up by Nine. I predict Coakley will win. Why? This is Massachussetts. The Democrats have a reserve of 116K dead people. These are realiable votes, mark my words. Then there are the 500K voters who are still on the rolls, but are living elsewhere. Wanna bet that this segment of the vote will be a reliable Democrat bloc?

In the NY 23rd the polls had the conservative up by six, but Hoffman lost by four.  On the plus side, Brown is a far and away better candidate than Hoffman. Still, intensity is may not be enough.

Desires and Hopes:
Just to be clear, I sent money to the Brown campaign. I am supporting him because the Democrat Healthcare nightmare needs to be stoppped. The super majority of Socialists and Progressives is poison. Brown is a moderate. Brown is about as far to the right one can go in the peoples republic of Massachussetts; only 15% of the bay state is Republican. I would prefer someone more conservative. Then again, I would prefer to see the Constitution obeyed, on not used as a door matt.

Election Day Observations:
I will be posting updates throughout the day here:
1. Lets start with the fact that the Wash-Po’s biggest story is not the election, but that the FBI may have done some illegal phone record data mining from 2002 to 2006. No one else is running this story. I guess they think they can change the subject single handedly — since the thought of a Republican in the Kennedy seat is too much for the “objective-journalists” to deal with.

2. Conditions on the ground in MA: light snow, high of 35 in Boston.

3. Reports are coming in that the turnout could be as high as 70% in some towns.  The requests for absentee ballots are as high as they where in last years presidential election.

Not sure what this means.  The recent Hunt upset involved a very high percentage of the absentee ballots in the 37th district of VA being cast as votes for the Democrat.  Which turns the old trend on its head.

UPDATE I
In case anyoone was wondering. The poll quoated above was from the Politco.

UPDATE II
Read the comments sections in the Boston Globe and Herald. The amount of support for Brown is impressive.

It will be intersting to see how the Democrats react to a Brown win.  The ‘he is an idiot’ character assassination has already begun.  Olberman went crazy last night.  It is a lot of fun watching the leftists whine.

UPDATE III
This is a money quote if I ever saw one:

The latest “dirt” on Brown is that he’s supported by republicans.

Just how stupid is the average democrat voter?

Brown has recieved support from Libertarians, Conservatives ands Republicans. The Socialists are surprised?

UPDATE IV
From the Wall Street Journal

While strategists in both campaigns cautioned that the outcome remained in doubt, a spate of last-minute polls suggested Mr. Brown was holding a lead heading into Election Day, including a survey by InsiderAdvantage/Politico that showed him up 52% to 43%.

Large Turnout in right leaning districts? Check! Low turnout in lib strongholds? Check!! Fingers crossed? Check!!! Hopefully the dead will sleep soundly.

UPDATE V
From the Politico

outreach workers in and around Boston have been stunned by the number of Democrats and Obama supporters who are waving them off, saying they’ll vote for Scott Brown

I refuse to feel optimistic. Murphy reigns supreme in the Bay State. Just ask the Patriots.

UPDATE VI
The dems are now eyeing the nuke-u-lar option. Hmmm. Maybe Brown will win. Nyaaagh.

UPDATE VII
The knives have come out: Coakley blames Obama. The Libs blame Coakley. Obama blames Bush. Go figure!! I predict Coakley will win the recount in a landslide.

UPDATE VIII
Brown leads Coakley 48% — 40%.
Some more from the poll:

53% disapprove of the President’s handling of health care, 42% approve.

53% believe the country is on the wrong track, 36% believe right direction.

51% have an unfavorable view of the health care bill, 37% have a favorable view.

I refuse to believe Brown is going to win. The liberal pundits said we would be a left leaning couintry from 11/4/2008 going forward. The liberals are much smarter than everyone else. they said so.

UPDATE IX
with 60% of the precincts reporting: Brown(R) 53%, Coakley(D) 46%
This is mind blowing. I am waiting for the shenanigans to start. I am waiting for the fat lady to start singing. I believe she is currently clearing her throat.

UPDATE X
Brown(R) 52%, Coakley(D) 47%
fatladysinging

Republican Ideas

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

The Article “A Question For Conservatives” asks a valid question.  Is the party at war with itself?  The short answer is no.  There is sharp debate, such as is needed after the Republican 8-year-long spending spree.  The good news is no one is defending the 6000+ earmarks of the 109th congress.  The spending binge that the Republican party engaged in was counter to conservative ideals of the party.  The corruption that came with such spending was joyfully announced in the left wing media.  The 110th came in and outdid the 109th — in all the wrong ways: 9000+ earmarks and even more corruption.  The 111th Congress  has surpassed anything that has gone before — the Louisiana Purchase and the Nebraska Privilege will become two eternal stains on the Senate record.  Gov. Kaine is whistling past the graveyard — the Democrats have come out of the closet.

The Republican Party must now return to its fiscally conservative roots. It must confess of its excesses.  The Republican Party does not have the luxury of circular firing squads. The enemy is inside the gate. The nation has come to realize that our biggest troubles are coming from the modern Democrat Party — a party that has drifted so far left, it is socialist in all but name.  Look at Obama’s Czars.  Van Jones was but one example — an avowed communist.  The socialists must be rendered impotent.

What the Republican Party currently lacks is a voiced set of ideas and ideals.  A goal to compare to the Hopey Changey socialist hooey that has become the Democrat Party’s platform. Conservatives need a rallying cry. Something akin to Reagan’s “Morning in America” or Gingrich’s “Contract with America.”

Conservatism recognizes the right to self defense as being non-negotiable. Conservatism’s bedrock is adherence to federalism and the diffusion of power that comes with it. I propose four simple principals that will reflect these two ideals — four simple principals that every Republican can agree to:

1. Kill the terrorists before they kill us — We are in a war with Islamic Fundamentalism; this is not a crime problem. They are not interested in stealing; they are interested in killing us.

2. Give us back our money — Tax us way less. Give back the TARP and unspent funds from the porkulus, the deficit is not helping us. Government is not the answer. Economic freedom makes all the other freedoms possible.

3. Zero Earmarks — This is the root of the corruption problem, the politicians are bribing each other with OUR money.

4. Obey all of the Constitution — The separation of powers also means the state and local governments AND the people have power. Federal power should be the most abridged. It is now the most profligate. The Interstate Commerce Clause does not overturn the remainder of the constitution.

People voted for change. We as a nation were told by the fourth estate that Obama was a moderate, that Obama had conservative leanings, that Democrats are the party of fiscal conservatism, that Obama would transcend race, party, and ideology. We all would join hands and sing kum-bay-ya!  The people, much to this citizen’s dismay, believed this overwrought drivel. The country really wanted to see the 6000 earmarks per year go away, what it got was 3000+ new earmarks per year added on.

This country was founded by men who began a war over taxation that was far less odious than what the typical American is happily laboring under today. A tax on our national breakfast beverage caused riots in Boston and people took to the streets armed and ready to die for their rights.

The right to live in freedom and to pursue happiness — not by the leave of some self-appointed betters was the goal. Sound familiar? We have the power of the ballot box today. All who would trample our freedoms can be dealt with in that arena. Vigilance is the price of freedom, and we as a nation have been asleep at the wheel for far too long.

It is not enough to come out and vote every two years. Conservatives all need to engage and know what is going on down there on the shores of the Potomac. Primary season must become a time of terror for those who hold office and vote contrary to the will of those who voted for them. An informed electorate will purge the dross from the system. The time of the professional politician must come to an end.

A Question For Conservatives

Monday, January 11th, 2010

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine said Democrats will do better than expected in this year’s midterm elections because the Republican Party is being torn apart by an internal “civil war” with conservative activists.

“There is a civil war that’s corrosive on the Republican side that is going to enable us to do a lot better than many folks think”, Kaine said Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press.

How much truth is there in Kaine’s statements ?

Happy 2010, The “Down With Democrats” Year!

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Things can only get better.

First, you must read ACTivist’s kick off to the New Year. What a great blog post for 2010.

Second, continuing on the “kicking” theme: Reflect for a moment on the fact that 2010 will be the commencement of continuing kicks to the faces of all Democrats in elected offices, everywhere, culminating in the kicking them out of said offices throughout the next three years. It’s a beautiful thing, and many will live to see it.

Third – on another related note – “Obama” becomes officially an epithet in the American lexicon.

Fourth and finally, let us thank Barack Obama for reminding everyone why liberalism is so horrible by attempting to implement liberal policies, and thereby reminding the basically conservative American people why they voted for Republicans for all those years despite the terrible damage Republicans caused by straying from conservative policies. What would it take to undo the political damage caused by the Bush administration? It took one Obama, one Reid, one Pelosi, and a host of Democrat office holders.
