We are evolving into a nation of moochers, a process which has been apace for years but the twist now is we are mooching off of Americans who do not yet pay taxes and in fact have not yet been born. It is happening at the state level – thank goodness, not so much in mine – but it is the federal government we should all be very concerned about right now. The theft taking place under the Democrats, who have controlled Congress since 2007, and President Barack Obama is unprecedented in its scale.

As Smitty notes in one of the best blog posts I’ve seen in weeks:

Remember, this hairball has been a century in the making, and will, at bare minimum, require a decade of your best effort just to get that hydra chopped down to something reasonably un-lethal. Incumbency is the enemy. We The People can either rule, or enjoy slavery.

Go read it all, read it again, and then get your game face on for the campaign season which is about to begin.

Our focus must be 100% on the Democrats in public office who are pushing us further into debt slavery.

Just some recent examples to highlight the absurd level of heedlessness these larcenists are operating at:

- $23 million to promote abortion in Kenya.
- $192 million on signs promoting the utterly failed $797 billion “stimulus” boondoggle.
- $22 million to provide high-tech training … to workers in South Asia.
- And now they are poised to steal billions more to reward reckless borrowers in mortgages they can’t afford. You and your children and grandchildren will be paying the moochers’ bills.

This is all being financed with money our country does not have – debt imposed on future generations.

The federal government is filthy with programs we cannot afford and institutions which never should have existed in the first place. There needs to be a housecleaning of Robespierrian proportions, a slash-and-burn campaign on the federal budget. The federal government is meant to provide national security: Everything else should be on the chopping block. Our rule of thumb going forward should be “take it over and shut it down.”

Those who pay for the government must be in charge of the government. Those people, companies, industries and factions who are financially supported by it will receive only what we decide to give them.

To be sure, it has taken both Democrats and Republicans to get us into this mess. A bipartisan line of personages stretching from decades in the past up to the present day deserve a pox on their houses. We can’t separate all the wheat from the chaff along party lines. So if the Republicans currently holding office and the ones we will be putting in office from 2010 through 2014 do not take immediate action to reverse the criminal direction of the federal government we need to end their political careers with extreme prejudice. But let’s face it, the GOP is our only hope. Republicans certainly contributed to our precarious financial situation but Democrats have taken the theft to an entirely new level and one from which our nation may never be able to recover.

It should be more than evident simply by who brought us Obamacare and who did not which party needs to be chastened and which one needs to be tossed in the dustbin of history.

Anyone with the gall to run for public office under the Democrat party banner must be laughed out of all public forums and if they will not slink from the stage they must be shamed and scorned, because they no longer deserve to show their faces in civil society. This cabal of Democrat office holders is guilty of the attempted murder of American liberty. Their misdeeds must be memorialized in perpetuity so the destructive path of our current federal government is never taken again. Having a “D” after your name should be treated as the equivalent of membership in Cosa Nostra and assigned a similar degree of respect in American public life.

There are many problems facing our country and voters are motivated by different concerns, but the threat which should have our laser focus is the one that is in the process of turning us into a third-world nation over the next 20 years. Debt slavery should have every American’s attention. Those who will do the hard work of liberating us should have our undying support. The primary racketeers – elected Democrats, public employee unions, ACORN spin-offs and all the other leftist organizations – are threats to our nation’s future and should be viewed with all appropriate seriousness.

Countless citizens, homeowners Associations, professional organizations, and a broad spectrum of business interests from across the county have come out in opposition to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act ( CBPA ) now under consideration by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. This legislation, is bad for home owners, it is bad for business, and will become a drag on economic growth in Loudoun County for years to come if adopted.

The recommendation and support by both county staff and the planning commission is based more on the whims of a handful of social engineers and politicians, than that of sound science. The CBPA is environmental policy crafted twenty years ago for an entirely different region of the commonwealth. This legislation was never intended for Loudoun County. Advocating for its passage is like pounding a square peg through a round hole and then paying for the privilege for having done so. It is a waste of time, energy and precious resources.

The more one examines the details of this legislation, the more one realizes the greatest danger in its implementation, is that it expands the size, scope and cost of county government at a time when resources are scarce. Loudoun County can ill afford to be wasting valuable resources having just cut essential services in the shadow of back to back budget deficits. Implementing this legislation is fiscally irresponsible.

A vote for passage of the CBPA in the face of overwhelming opposition, the facts as enumerated within the legislation, sound science and at a time of economic uncertainty, is both irrational and politically tone deaf.

I and a carload of friends are going to vote for Howie Lind at the Virginia 10th District Convention on May 22, 2010, because Howie has his act together. It is the same reason I have supported other candidates for party leadership positions. He was early out of the box, with a plan.

Howie contacted me early on in the process, and made it clear what needed to be done to continue the success of the Republican Party in Virginia. He seems like a good manager.

By way of contrast, please click here for what the current 10th District crew informs you about the upcoming Convention. No address. No one to contact. And no one from Jim Rich – the current chair’s – side of the Republican aisle has provided any information on how to participate.

Personally, I do not quite get the divisions among the GOP in the 10th District. I do know that Howie Lind is the outsider candidate. I have talked to him on the phone twice and he and I share the same principles. He has an edge in competence. If you want to FIND the Virginia 10th District Convention, please refer to Howie Lind’s Web site.

Howie Lind is a good conservative and a good manager. Just what we need right now.

UPDATE: LI has a contrary position. Could’ve seen that one coming.

The Office of the Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue is a very competently-managed government agency and we should all be grateful for the work of Commissioner Bob Wertz. As most county residents should know by now the office has implemented a new, online payment system which is saving us money and demonstrates a good grasp of both IT and customer service. On the latter, the aspect that impresses me the most when dealing with his office is one can tell that Bob runs it with sensitivity to the customer’s perspective – as in, “if I were a customer, how would this look and how easily would it work.”

Many of our readers will know that I am not shy when it comes to complaining about badly-managed government organizations and crappy organizations in general, which includes most government agencies I know of. Having run a mid-sized business in Northern VA for the past 10 years, the last five in Loudoun County, I have now had numerous opportunities to deal with the county on matters related to taxes and business licensing, and on a personal level I spent some time a couple years ago researching Loudoun budget issues. Bob Wertz’s office is really good to work with.

Along with most of the county he has reduced the size of his staff through attrition yet over the past couple years has increased the level of service. If that is not the definition of what we want from our government I don’t know what is. Also, in conversation with Bob I have learned that he and I share the exact same philosophies of customer service, limited government and fiscal responsibility, as well as the need to bring more businesses into Loudoun to help right our financial ship.

I know we do a lot of tearing down on this blog, especially when I am the author of the moment, so it seems important to say something positive when someone is doing a good job. We should all be focused on making Loudoun more business-friendly, and I can say for certain our Commissioner of the Revenue is doing his part. Thank you, Mr. Wertz.

I recently heard a rumor some folks in Loudoun County are intending to field a full slate of “Tea Party” candidates in the 2011 elections, to run as a third party.

I hope at least part of the rumor is wrong, and that whichever “Tea Party” group is doing this is planning to propose excellent candidates to challenge within the Republican Party, because Tea Party as third party is jackassery of the highest order.

Tea Party as third party is actually “D Party” – as in, being in the business of getting Democrats elected.

The only way a third party makes any sense is under the assumption the Democrat candidates will take less than 20% of the vote, leaving the Tea Party and Republican Party candidates to fight for the remaining 80% of the vote. In that scenario, yes, let the best candidate win. But in reality, it is much more likely the Democrat candidates will be able to garner at least 40% of the vote, which would make them victors. I think at this point it might be true that 40% of voters are now collecting checks from the government, either as employees or through entitlements.

We don’t need a third party in Loudoun County. The Democrats are the only ones who need that.

I’ve been saying it, and it is time to put-up, or shut-up. We need conservatives that will run for school board. People that will look at the whole picture, will understand that what they do will affect the whole county, and will implement frugal budgets.

At the moment, I’m not eligible … I still have to have a JOB and that means I’d have to quit teaching to be a school board member (if that changes, I’ll run … which if they do cut 290+ positions, I could be looking for work). Those of you that aren’t hourly, can take time off with at least some notice and have any interest in seeing taxes not go through the roof, ought to be able to get on board for this.

Who wants to run?

The national debt we see as a killer and rightfully so. People are all upset about it and we know it stinks. But it seems we lose sight of it the closer it comes to home.

The county has been financing capital projects with debt it for what seems like forever. Every single ballot item for bonds related to building schools has been passed every year I’ve been here. What does it cost us now? A whole lot more than the 30 million or so that is going to put 290+ people out of work because the county budget needs to be cut. (Plus much larger classroom sizes, and we already have students that won’t be able to take AP courses because we don’t offer them every year.) Why? If you ask me it is because we don’t know fiscal responsibility.

“It’s the economy, stupid” applies to nearly everyone. As a single income household, attempting to live on a teacher’s salary, I don’t have a choice of using credit to pay for things. Some of you might be thinking that means I have to use credit … NO! Just the opposite. I cannot afford to use credit to pay for things. If I used credit, then I wouldn’t be able to stay a teacher, I’d have to find another job. How many of the problems with the economy are from people defaulting on loans? Debt is a killer for people as well as the county.

What’s more, the debt that kills the people is the reason people think it is “okay” to contract debt for the county. (If people buy a $3000 TV with debt … really stupid idea, people … then why wouldn’t they think that a county with a couple of billion budget should contract a debt of a $100 million or so for a school?) Both lead to the same disastrous consequences; the entity that does this ends up spending more and more of the total income on debt than the things it needs to survive. Buy a TV on debt? Why not? Buy a school on debt? Of course!

That brings us to the country as a whole. Elect idiots that believe that the “entitlements” cannot be touched and that it is okay to have debt (financially irresponsible people like us) and what happens? We have a national debt that is so high that we are facing national bankruptcy if the interest rates go up by just a little. Remember when mortgages where 16% a year … what happens if the interest rates triple yet again?. The interest per year triples as well. Look at our current proposed county budget; it includes $151 million in debt service (notice they do NOT break out principle and interest, so we can easily see how much waste is included). Waste? What do we get for the interest? Nothing … spending money to have today rather than tomorrow is the most essential waste I can imagine. I want it, and I want it NOW! Wait a year and you can pay cash, or you pay three times as much. (In other words, how stupid is it to put appliances on a mortgage rather than pay cash? Why pay $4500 for a $1500 washer/drier?)

Which brings us to the federal budget as well. How much do we spend on interest? What have we done electing people that think nothing of increasing our debt instead of paying it off? We are electing people that are as stupid as we are. WAKE UP! If Loudoun had never borrowed to finance building, we would not have the tax rate we do today, let alone the need to lay off 290+ LCPS employees (not that there isn’t waste in the school system as well … I’m not saying anything about that.) Wake up! If we want the future to be anything near reasonable, pay off the debt. I’d rather see a tax increase and a mandated unbalanced budget (i.e., a mandate for a surplus every year) than have the tax remain the same and not pay down the debt. $150 million is more than enough to lower taxes *and* provide full funding for the LCPS budget. If we had been paying as we go, it would have saved enough to build every school in the county we have now (even at the insanely small size we build schools). For the federal government, it may have taken longer, but the situation is exactly the same.

It is insane to borrow money except for an emergency, or something that is a one-time expense which is greater than the yearly income an entity generates. It is also insane not to pay off that debt as quickly as possible. Otherwise, we have a situation in which we are paying interest (total waste of funds) for what gets us nothing in return. If the freezer breaks down with $500 of food in it, it makes sense to buy a new freezer to save the $500 in food, but pay it off! It does not make sense to carry debt. In fact, it makes sense to save money so when an emergency happens (as it always does) you have the money to pay for the fix. If we have six months of income in the bank, there are few emergencies that would force us to borrow money. That is true for the county, the state, the federal government, or even individuals.

They are having a poll over at the Loudoun Times today. Who would YOU like to see voted out of office. Well. We all know the answer to that question. The biggest idiot in the history of Loudoun Politics: Stevens Miller

Mark Sell and Candace Strother both ran excellent campaigns. The campaigns were both polished, organized and motivated. There was a lot of energy expended on this contest. Both of the campaigns put out scads of emails, mailers and made multiple public appearances and speeches. This is a blessing. What we had was a rare chance to vote for someone, as opposed to choosing the lesser of evils by voting against someone. Greg L summed it up perfectly in his post over at BVBL. By all accounts Mark’s speech after the vote tally was announced, was gracious.

The real question is now that the Chairman has been chosen, is he going to be given a chance to lead? Over at TC, LI showed all of us that he is really not worth our time. His hatred for Susanne Volpe is personal, as is his hatred of Mark. It stems from an old feud. A feud whose details most do not know, and frankly do not want to. It is old potatoes. LI is obviously unhinged by this hatred. Some say “He is intense.” He is not intense. Greg Stone is intense. LI on the other hand is small, oh so very, very small. So small that I hope that none take notice of the nonsense we saw on TC, after the tally, on election day. The LCRC’s crazy aunt in the attic got loose, and threw a hissy fit. Nothing to see, move along people. It was designed to cause a rift in our party. I recommend we disappoint LI by not allowing his spew to ignite a fresh round of inter-Republican fighting. Today LI is the Democrat’s best friend.

Some of the calls for unity from the many who agree with LI are dishonest, for they come with demands and give Mark no quarter. “My way or the highway”, is the tune. Glen lead the LCRC as he saw fit. Let Mr. Sell lead as he see’s fit. Give Mark a real chance. To the honest conservatives who supported either Candace or Mark, I say, “Look forward and forget the sordid past.” We cannot afford to dwell on it. The BOS is raising the property taxes at the rate of 1 cent per month. Does anyone want to help LI tear the party down in the light of that? We need to get the budget under control. This demands that we allow our elected chairman the time to set the plan he began to outline during the campaign into motion — a plan that puts a target on the backs of those very board members.

This election was about who is going to lead the campaign against the Democrats. Not who is going to get to pick who is ‘in’ and who is ‘out’ at the LCRC. Does anyone here think that 970 people showed up on a Saturday in March to take part in a popularity contest? Republicans are energized and are looking for leadership that can show the Democrats on the BOS the door in 2011. Mark Sell ran the campaign that brought in 512 people. Candace brought in 458. Guess what? Both of the candidates ran good campaigns. Both candidates demonstrated leadership. We need the teams they both assembled going forward.

The winner has been chosen. Ignore the idiots who are looking to blow up the party. The two candidates ran clean, professional campaigns; this is cause for celebration. We have talent in our committee, behind which we should be able to unify. Actually, we must — it is not an option. Ignore the crazy aunts in the attic. Especially those who are looking to air out our dirty laundry in the public square in front of the Democrats. We will disagree, but can we do it in a civil manner in private? Glen ran the show the past two years without continuous public sniping while he was getting the campaign in gear. Can we all focus on the real enemy?

by jacob
As we come to the end of the campaign for the LCRC Chair, I am asking people to consider what my esteemed compatroit Greg Stone has said. It is about leadership. Mr Stone it absolutely correct. We need the best possible leadership for the upcoming campaigns. We are dealing with a majority of Democrats and Independents in the BOS in 2011. We will need to contend with recruiting potential candidates for these seats. This challenge comes with the large pool of volunteers that will be needed. The new candidates will need help from our LCRC, and for this the GOP in LC will need a plan. Mark Sell has the vision and the plan in place to lead us going forward …

Recruiting the right candidates–
Candidates who know how to create jobs, meet a payroll, and keep a budget!

Raising Money to support those candidates–
Systematically leverage our revived and energized Republican base here in Loudoun to widen, deepen, and diversify our fundraising pool.

Resource state-of-the-art campaigns–
with world-class websites, research, and polling.

Reach Loudoun–
We are not going to give up a single group, demographic or individual voter to our opposition but will reach out to the independents, moderate Democrats, and minority groups who share our values.

Roasting the current Democrat/Independent Majority on the Board of Supervisors–
and their job-wrecking, business-busting, tax-and-spend-and-tax-some-more policies that are leading Loudoun tiptoeing down the road to fiscal ruin.

Please take some time to read the plan and vist Mark’s website: http://www.sell4chairman.com/

You will see that Mark has the plan the vision and an understanding of the local scene here in Loudoun that will lead to the ouster of the big spenders in 2011.

Mark Sell, candidate for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee, yesterday released the following statement from Kyle Kunkler, the Eastern Loudoun RPV Victory Field Director in 2009:

I consider Mark to be an instrumental part of the GOP 2009 victory in Loudoun. Mark Sell’s ability to recruit and coordinate volunteer activities was essential. Throughout the campaign season, Mark came through and was able to motivate volunteers time and time again to come out and support our Republican ticket.

Mark was involved in virtually every aspect of the grassroots campaign in Loudoun from door to door events to the staffing of ‘Back-to-School-Night’ events for half of the county to his participation in various festivals, fairs, parades and community events. Mark brought people to these events, and participated, standing shoulder to shoulder with the volunteers that he so frequently was able to motivate into action. Mark also participated in phonebanking, the 72-Hour Task Force, and Election Day Operations. No job is beneath Mark, he knows that in order to lead one must be willing and able to do the grunt work needed to win an election.

Mark Sell always had a can-do attitude, and is ready to do whatever is needed to help a campaign. With his long background of activism in the local Party, Mark understands the nuts and bolts of what it takes to win the ground war. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Party.

Klye was the Virginia Republican Party’s coordinator for eastern Loudoun. He lead the victory team. He oversaw the day to day trench warfare of the political campaign here in eastern Loudoun. The guy knows who brought the goods to the table. Mark Sell kept a steady stream of volunteers coming through the door. Volunteers are the life’s blood of a political campaign, especially at the local county level. The ability to put boots on the ground is called leadership.

It was this kind of leadership that helped make last falls campaign the success that it was. Politics is about advancing an ideology at the balot box. The Republican Party’s stated ideology is conservative. We all are conservatives here in Loudoun GOP. Some conservatives, like Mark, have been giving voice to conservatism for years in the public square. This involves, among other things, running campaigns. With this experience, Mark is able to consistently bring people to events. This is how campaigns are won. This is why Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli endorsed Mark for our Chairman. This is why the 2009 Victory Campaign in Loudoun endorses Mark Sell in 2010 — to take back the BOS in 2011!

by Joe

Dagnabit this is inspiring, and I sincerely hope we can maintain this level of citizen activism in November 2010, November 2011 and November 2012. Especially, 2010 and 2012 – unless we can get an impeachment movement going, which would take some pressure off the 2012 aspect. I have not yet begun cataloging my issues with Joe Biden, although I am sure there are many. (I do have a feeling that the key to running against Joe Biden is, let Joe be Joe.)

For Loudoun County Republican Committee Chair, Jacob supports Mark Sell. See here and here.

Greg Stone and I support Candace Strother. More here and here.

Since I run the blog and pay for it and do all the nasty behind-the-scenes work and field all the complaints, I get to put Candace in the sidebar with her photo – but make no mistake about it: We NVTH people are divided as to who should be the next LCRC leader. But as a testament to our corporate wonderfulness, let it be spoken that the NOVATownHall bloggers are divided, yet free to speak our minds. If he were not so backlogged and short of sleep, we’d probably even let Grigsby chime in.

In any case, I appreciate the diversity of opinion. Whatever happens on Saturday, I am certain we will all be on the same page on Sunday.

And if he is half the man I think he is, Jacob will likely trump this post with another that sends this one lower down the page.

by Joe

I have possibly one new reason you have not heard so far. I will detail this below – but for starters: To vote for Candace Strother as LCRC Chairperson tomorrow, all you have to do is join me, Linda B, CathyMac, Greg Stone, the Monk, and the current leadership of the undeniably successful Loudoun County Republican Committee, and go to the following location:

When: Saturday, March 6, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: Belmont Ridge Middle School (click here for directions)

Show your ID, vote for Candace. It is that simple. Now, here is another reason to do so:

I have now heard from numerous people who are urging me to not vote for Candace Strother, that the key person who has endorsed Candace Strother – current LCRC Chair Glen Caroline – is completely incompetent: Glen Caroline, who took the job of LCRC chairperson when no one else wanted it, and who led the disparate elements of the committee to a united, winning effort in November, 2009; and who won the award as the best unit leader by the state Republican Party in December.

This man – Candace Strother’s opponents keep telling me – supposedly cannot tie his own shoes.

This line of argument has me questioning the veracity and judgment of those telling us not to vote for Candace Strother. It strikes me as borderline unethical to not begin every discussion of Glen Caroline with a THANK YOU for what he accomplished when no one else would even take the job. I happen to like Candace’s opponent a lot, don’t get me wrong, and I have never heard his personal opinion of Glen Caroline – and I forgive my good friends Jacob Ash, Ken Cuccinelli, and others for their difference of opinion. They have obviously not heard the same narrative I have heard, and they are doing what personal loyalty demands which I respect.

But now having heard once more the narrative that the sky is purple, that Glen was a bad leader, I think something is fishy. I think those who are scripting the opposition to Candace Strother are doing so from a position of bad faith. I think it demonstrates a measure of displacement from reality, and when I hear people evangelizing on such a basis I immediately am inclined to do the opposite. I will support whoever wins, but there is a pack of lies going around and I don’t want those spreading it near the controls.

Let’s keep a good thing going here. Join us in voting for Candace tomorrow.

Today Loudoun County is at a crossroads. The people need to make a choice, either they can take back control of their government, or, they can leave it to the fiscally challenged Board of Supervisors (BOS) dominated by liberal Democrats. If the choice is to take back control, then Mark Sell is the man for this job. As a life long Republican Mark has been a campaign volunteer, Precinct Captain, Magisterial District Chair and Party Treasurer. Mark has paid his dues and learned the ropes in multiple campaigns. Mark has learned what needs to be done on the ground, in the trenches, to win elections. In the last election Mark was a deputy for Ken Cuccinelli in his successful campaign to become our Attorney General. The McDonnell-Bolling-Cuccinelli team ran as unapologetic conservatives, and won in a landslide.

Mark plan is to field a full suite of candidates, who will build on this momentum. Candidates who will remember their conservative roots, and that their duty is to the people. Candidates who are also unapologetic about their conservatism. Candidates who know that a government that governs well, governs least. Smaller government demands that the spending must be cut. Mark plan is to field a full slate of fiscal conservatives to oust the big spenders on the BOS in 2011, and engage every constituency in our county. This will require seasoned leadership. It is for this reason I support Mark Sell for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Party and ask you to come out and vote him on March 6th, 2010.

We all have seen our party lose its way in this last decade. The spending excesses of our Republican congress, and our local county elected officials resulted in a Republican Party as a small minority. The party deserved what it got. The party must never again forget its fiscal conservative roots. Small government is good government. If we do not reduce spending we cannot reduce taxes without running even higher deficits. Runaway government spending is the root of our economic woes. Mark will find candidates who understand this, and more importantly, will not forget this.

As a long time grass roots activist in Loudoun County, Mark has worked hard to stop the Meals Tax, the increases in the Sales Tax and on other liberal boondoggles, giving voice to our shared Republican and conservative ideals in the public square speaking before our BOS on many occasions, so that the people of Loudoun will not be saddled with even higher taxes. The People of Loudoun deserve better than what they have been burdened with in past years. Loudoun has the highest tax rate of any county in VA. Loudoun even has highest taxes of any county in the South. We can and must do better. To do so, we must win the BOS. To do that we need a leader who has been there, in good times and in bad, and who knows the ropes. Mark Sell will not need on the job training. He will be ready to lead from day one — Mark knows Loudoun.

Mark Sell, candidate for Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee, today has released the following statement from Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli:

I can attest from first-hand experience that Mark Sell is an excellent choice for Loudoun County Republican Committee Chairman. Mark has worked side-by-side with many of us over the last decade on key conservative issues ranging from the fight against tax hikes to the Marriage Amendment. From Committee Treasurer to District Chair to Precinct Captain to Rules Committee Chairman to a Loudoun County Volunteer Coordinator for my own victorious campaign last year, Mark has shown his mettle where it counts — in the planning councils, in the trenches, on the phones and on the streets. He has the proven skills at organization, mobilization, fund-raising and finance to head up a winning effort for Loudoun Republicans in 2010, 2011 and beyond.

This is tremendous news for the Sell campaign. During the past weeks of campaigning, Mark has made appearances before the the good folks at Leisure World, LCWC, the LCRC and lastly the fiscally challenged BOS. Mark has received endorsements from many conservative Republicans, and his campaign delivered close to 300 applications in support of Howie Lind for the upcoming 10th district convention. Boots on the ground activism delivered those votes for Howie, and will deliver the votes for other Republicans in 2011. Ken Cuccinelli knows this and that is why he endorses Mark Sell for the Chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee.

Mark sell has been a conservative voice in Loudoun County politics for years. He is an activist who has exemplified the word ‘active’. Mark has spoken before our Board of Supervisors both Republican and Democrat controlled on countless occasions. Mark has worked every election cycle, supporting our Republican party in both good times and bad. Mark has seen his fair share of big spenders on both sides of the political divide. He is a Christian, patriot and a conservative, this reality has reflected in his actions and words since the day I met him.
