Where you are held accountable for your convictions and record

Old (and I feel every day) ACT has been working 14 to 16 hours a day, 7 days a week for far longer than I can remember. I lose track of the day and month at times and the seasons are about the only thing that give me some semblance of the time. Not looking for sympathy here. Someone has to do the work and I thought when I retired 7 years ago that things would be different. Probably the reason God tells me not to make plans cause I only need to worry and live for today. What keeps me working is my circumstance, one of my grandbabies, and a tie that I just can’t seem (or don’t want to) let go of. Well now I am local for awhile so I can play here for a while. The object of the text is work.

I keep hearing that there is no work. Kids today are looking for those high paying, meaningful jobs like pro sports player, psychologist, actor, web designer and such. Whatever happened to meaningful work? My organization is staffed well but my company has had vacancies for years. Good work that takes brains and thinking on your own. For some reason we get no prior experience or those that want a paycheck without putting forward any effort. Needless to say, we have lots of vacancies. Now because I have been doing what I do for eons (I helped invent the square wheel) I am given projects to do alone, doing 3 or 4 individual jobs, only because I make things happen and organize well, including being everywhere at once. My body hates me and my mind has been playing cruel games. It is called old age. Shoot, I couldn’t remember the name of that dumb blonde that wanted to give oral gratification ( subjective at best) to any guy that voted for Hillbilly. I mean I really considered taking my gov’t money back and relaxing, contemplating my naval. Unfortunately I just can’t up and leave the company or organization without knowing my void has been taken care of. Where are those up and comers? Where are those eager beavers? Where is that next generation; anxious to take the feigns and make a mark in the world? It used to be companies wanted to dump the old for the young. Now they are looking for the old and experienced for less money and benefits because the young aren’t all they were cracked up to be. Maybe they need a new class in academia: work ethics. Novel idea. I know that some of us elders would appreciate the company and relief.

I have very little information and will post this article for the time being. I wanted to be the first to condemn the gun that did this. It appears that way too many bad guns are floating around in America. This gun took a 20 year old boy hostage and made him shoot other youngsters. It even made the boy ask students what religion they were before the ban gun blasted them. In the end, the boy being held hostage by the bad gun was forced to point it so that the gun shot at police. The police shot back and killed the poor hostage boy but the bad gun is still very much alive and will probably serve out its years in a lab somewhere instead of seeing the inside of a metal shredder. Unfortunately there were no good guns in the building to stop the bad gun’s rampage. These bad guns need to be found and die. Taking people hostage and making them pull the triggers on these bad guns have to stop. I wish that this incident never happened but you never know when a bad gun will show up and cause this type of havoc. Maybe the bad gun wouldn’t have taken this boy hostage if it knew that there were good guns near by. I’m sure that the Dem governor of Oregon, Congress, Obama and Lynch will be condemning these bad guns quickly and move forward to capture them. Unfortunately, bad and good guns look the same and will be caught in the cross fire (no pun intended. Well, maybe). What can be done?

That seems to be something that Rudy Giuliani doesn’t believe. He brings up some points about how Obama spends more time tearing us down than building us up. That Obama lays shame at our feet so that he will receive what “he” feels America should be like. I’m not going to give my opinion as to whether Obama loves America or is a patriot. We all can think as we will and believe as we wish. I would just like to insert this piece that I recently received from a friend. I would suggest that it must be the embodiment of the feeling of true love and belief in this great country of ours. As an aside, it makes you wonder how we ever allowed the desecration of our flag as a form of freedom of speech. It surely makes me wonder.

Why is the question I tend to ask. You have a liberal agenda that has failed every step of the way. At each turn, when that specific item on the agenda is questioned, dodges, spin, division and lies are thrown in our face to keep us at bay. At least till the next agenda item comes forefront. Now I agree with Gruber about the American people being stupid: not all of them, mind you, just the stupid ones. So why would the conservatives or Republicans feel uneasy about not appeasing those stupid Americans. I sure wouldn’t. Look where that philosophy has gotten them and us so far.

It is time, now, to start setting the agenda for the new Congress. Obama-the-petulant-child wants to go in front of the mic with immigration reform. Let him. Let him pull that cart on his own. Any other idiots that want to hitch their horses to that cart, well, let them do it also. They can all go down in flames together. As far as ANY agenda THIS Congress going forward; the only thing I see that needs negotiation is the budget extension. Let them play with just that for a bit…..and a short bit at that. Like a couple of months worth. Then with the new Congress they can start cutting back the pork and funding only things essential for our citizens. We don’t need the help of those Dems who refused to clean their own house and do things right for America. The pipeline has been waiting for almost 6 years. It can wait a few more months.

I see things like this: the Dems made this mess with their own rules. Soon they will not be the majority of power and want things fairer on the playing field. They also want to change the rules back to what they were to have the opportunity to obstruct again. Why in God’s name would a sane person even consider that? How many times before has this happened where the American citizen gets burned because of a “benevolent party” doing what is “right and fair”? The rules have been made and set. Let them Dems live and learn from their mistakes…..as we all have had to. Let them purge the crap from their party. Let Obama’s last 2 years be as Bush’s were. Let’s give the American people what they voted for and take away from the stupid people.

I have read till my eyes were bloodshot. I picked the articles I felt most appropriate and informative. If you REALLY, REALLY want to know what you are up against, read them. Yes, they can be a VERY long read but we’ll worth it if you seek good understanding. For me, the more I read, the more confused I got because of all the ambiguity, inference, and just the “muddy lines” of acceptance. Know this: the Executive Branch is more powerful than you may have thought, and without constraints or watchdogs in all matters, can easily get out of control by things perceived. Bottom line is that we, the people, may suffer greatly for nothing more than political ideology, favoritism to certain groups or individuals, or just visions of grandeur. This is a case for me of “the more you know, the less you like”. That’s just me.

is a basic primer for very general knowledge.

delves very deeply into pros, cons, and citing examples from various administrations, focusing heavily on the Clinton Administration.

, which talks further about more presidents and their orders.

There are plenty more articles out there but I learned enough and picked these 3 that would allow you to learn enough. I guess perception is what is needed here as to what type of America is being built. Most of these orders don’t get reviewed by successive administrations, which means we are stuck with them. Not good. Not good at all.

I was reading up on new military enlist criteria and, specifically, criteria about tattoos. I am glad to see that criteria is changing and becoming much more selective for appearance, brains, clean background and the like. Being as how the military is being downsized, they are able to tailor our military forces to a higher caliber group. But I ran across something that just stymied me; that of Atheist chaplains and how they are not allowed in the military chaplain corps.

As the article states, 98% of chaplains are of Christian faith. That would make sense since it appears to be the majority faith in the military. And, yes, you apparently have a small atheist contingent in the military. What I can’t figure out is why they would need a chaplain? What purpose could they possibly have in calming personnel going in to battle or delivering a hopeful and saving message to those wounded and dying? I looked up an article to see just what atheists believe. This is one of the articles I found. This is all well and good but how does an atheist chaplain work or fit in? I really don’t get it.

While listening to the radio the other day, this Phil from Duck Dynasty seemed to be the news buzz. Some Brian and Larry program was talking to callers and one caller said if the tables were turned, no commotion would be made. At this point, Larry the bozo says: “gays are normal people; just different”. I was infuriated over such a stupid statement but it did give me pause. Just what is normal and who determines it?

I thought about how I grew up and what was normal in my sphere, as well the rest of society. Normal was giving respect to elders with ma’am and sir and calling elders by their last name–not their first. Normal was opening doors for others or thanking those that did it for you. Normal was helping a neighbor or stranger whenever asked or you saw assistance was needed. Normal was trusting the cop on the beat or wanting to be one when you grew up. Same with the fireman. Normal was having a job and being responsible, where it wasn’t beneath you to be a milkman or work in a factory. Normal was going hunting after school or fishing to help put supper on the table, even if you had to take your gun to school. Normal was Christmas with all it’s splendor and all buildings had displays, including local government buildings. Many of you will say racial discrimination was also normal. In some areas of the country it was and that normal exists to before we became a country. There are many more normals of my time but it has changed over the years.

I remember when movies were 15 cents and you could buy most candy for a penny. That is what I grew up in. So I thought about where I am today. Normal seems to be about self now instead of others…..except where the government is concerned. They think about what they can do for others with an unlimited supply of money from everyone else. The new normal is lack of responsibility for one’s self. The new normal is being loud, unruly and disrespectful. The new normal cuts people off–anywhere, doing anything because self is number one. New normal is talking on the phone ANYWHERE, while disturbing the people around you. New normal are children calling elders by their first name, with possible trailing names added on. New normal is trespass and destruction of property not your own. New normal is blocking aisle ways, walkways and entrances with total disregard to others. New normal is being your brothers’ keeper, with a billion brothers and more. New normal is scams, lies and mistrust.

So when I hear that homosexuals are “normal people, just different”, I have to understand things differently now. Child molesters are normal, just different. Abortionists are normal, just different. Kidnappers are normal, just different. Kids that play the Knock-out game are normal, just different. Catching on yet? Basically ALL people are normal, just different. Except for Christians. They aren’t normal at all–just different. We’ve come a long way. Unfortunately, when you are sliding down a steep slope, it doesn’t take much to slip to the bottom. Normal, just different, indeed!
