Sixty percent of high school and college students say they plan on owning guns at a later stage in life, an academic study from American University revealed on Monday.

The study results are based on a sample of over 4000 high school and college students. This sample size is far larger than your typical political tracking poll, which usually samples 1000 people. The sample is therefore large enough to be statistically sound, which is math speak for, “It is representative of the population sampled.” Considering how our political class is trying to score points off the tragedy in CT, this trend should give them pause.

The Democrats have tried a campaign of softball interviews on Letterman, Leno and the View in order to keep the Messiah’s cluelessness from being put on display. Since that strategy collapsed utterly in the first debate, they are trotting this out as Plan B? Who is the brain trust in Chicago that thinks this is going to help them?

This ode to Orwell’s Oceana will back fire. Stripmines Fun and Free? Sick people just die? Oil fills the sea? My first response to the string of over-the-top Democrat talking points sung by the mindless cherubs was, “Forget you.” First off, no Republican is considering filling the sea with oil you hapless drones. Sick people dying is what happens under socialist a.k.a. government-controlled healthcare, and no one is proposing strip mining, or mining of any sort that is unregulated. They sing about endless war, which is a term right out Orwell’s novel. The interesting thing is Obama was the president who violated the War Powers Act, not Booosh.

What is truly sad is that it is the Obama-Democrat policies that will have us accused by children and grand children who will ask, “What were you thinking?” They might also ask “Why am I in debt to the tune of $100K because you could not say ‘enough’!?” Or, “You voted for someone because you felt guilty?” Or, “What was so wrong about questioning the Dear Leader?”

Obama is an Alinski-ite. This ad is right out of the playbook: Trash your opponents, make them react, fault them for their reaction. The trouble is that both sides have learned the playbook. The result will be action not reaction.

This commercial is so unjust, so enraging, the effect will be to motivate those who would otherwise only vote for Romney. People will now go out and knock on doors, stuff envelops, drive people to the polling stations for the Republicans. This should motivate one and all to put up Romney-Ryan signs. People won’t just vote for Romney, they will be writing checks, and working for the Romney campaign — in response to this campaign ad.

With this ad Team Obama has announced they are giving up on the undecideds and independents. They are now hoping for a turn out election. They are looking to motivate their demoralized base. This ad is the opposite of hope and change, it is the embodiment of a scorched earth policy. Playing this ad in a presidential year is a huge mistake; this is an off cycle year campaign ad. The Democrats are demonstrating utter desperation with these singing props.

Lastly, at the rate we are going it is not just Chinese stuff in our stores, it is Chinese ownership of our country’s debt. They already own $1.1T in US treasury bills. Foreign ownership of American dept has exploded under Obama. Some speculate that Obama is looking to take the U.S. down a peg. By now we should be able to peg Obama as a hollow, left-wing, ideological zealot. A community organizer is just another term for rabble-rouser. This empty suite has never worked for a private concern let alone made pay roll. Obama is a product of the Chicago Political Machine. He does not get economics, nor does he understand the lawlessness of his administration. Obama just does not get it, and he never will.

This is interesting. The opposite of the self important narcissism is called humility. Obama is a walking monument to hubris. It appears that Romney is more of the genuine article than the cypher will ever be, or could be. He is certainly more genuinely decent than the caricature presented by the Democrats and their operatives.

The messiah is a leader in a cult of personality. Teachers brainwashed children to sing praises of him. This is the repeated pattern of a cult. This certain cult has been a scourge on humanity since its inception. It will never go away, so long as there is envy in men’s hearts. It will require the eternal vigilance of good men to keep it in check — lest liberty fade. Socialism is the political expression of envy in its most hateful form. Be it national socialism, or the communism of Mao. It is all the same evil cult.

The Republicans have some talent in their bullpen. Jindal, McDaniels, Ryan, Paul (to name a few). I have a feeling after the fiasco of the past four years, it will be another 30 before the Democrats, who are now openly progressive socialists, will see a victory like 2008. The Republicans still need to expunge the shame that is the Bush legacy. But that will fade quicker now that we have had four years of Obama.

So this is the guy we elected? The Redistributor in Chief? The man sees the world in clear lines of division. Rich v. Poor. Haves v. Have nots. The pie is only so big, and we need to carve it up ‘fair.’ OK. This is the typical socialist class warfare mantra. This is the message of the leftist — the economy does not grow, you cannot win, its just a question of how do the spoils of the nation economy get distributed. This itself is cause for alarm. All that talk about bringing prosperity is to all is really about robbing Paul to gratify Peter.

The scarier part is that he reveals himself to be a believer in racial spoils as well. He see the world in terms of Black v. White. This is racism. Racism fused with Socialism is Fascism. Obama has been a cypher since his waltzing on to the American National Political stage. It has been quite the performance. Why did it take so long for his birth certificate to finally become available. His birth was announced in several papers, so why not cough up the document and avoid the conjecture? Why are his transcripts sealed? Why is there evidence that he passed himself off as a foreign student? Why is this guy a chameleon who is truly a different man before different people. He is a politician, but why this degree of blatant dishonesty?

He ran on being the great uniter. Hope and Change. On this very blog the delusioned intoned solemnly that he is a conservative. Today the OWS types rant on about being betrayed by their Dear Leader. When the hype is that you are all things to all people, the reality is that you are nothing. This president tripled the number of Czars and unilaterally cut our nuclear arsenal by two thirds. Obama nearly double the national debt four years, and halved the rate of growth in GDP. He shut down drilling off our coasts, and on our federal lands and sent Billions of our dollars to Brazil to subsidize their oil production? Who side is Barry Soetero a.k.a. Harrison J. Bounel a.k.a Barack Obama a.k.a really on?

To say that Biden was an ass last night is an injustice. It is an injustice to all the asses of this world. Putting them in the same corner with this clown is patently unfair. The trouble is that this facile thug, masquerading as a serious politician, is beyond the pale. Ryan was respectful of his elder. The trouble is that his elder was soiling himself on stage while conducting a war on women, with Raddatz Biden’s target dejour.

Biden did himself no favors, he was the grin with a body behind it. Red meat for the OWS crowd. Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times, giggling in between and making little sense when he would start shouting. No doubt about it, Chris Matthews had another tingle down his leg. This debate performance will not do well with undecided voters of flyover country. This sort of performance does fine in Philadelphia, but not Des Moines. Still, give the Biden his due, he did fire up the base. Which was a must after Obama’s debate debacle.

Reading the transcript, I would give points to Ryan for Libya, and Biden for Afghanistan. On the home front, Ryan got the better of the Biden overall, but unlike Obama, Biden actually put in a performance. Unlike the Messiah, Biden looked like he wanted to be there. The polls declaring who won are split, and the margins are all in the low single digits. Such a result is the norm. Blowouts like what Romney did to Obama are very rare. It requires that you opponent be a flaccid, clueless, detached, empty-suit in order to garner a 50+ point spread in your favor. Obama, despite protestations of the left, was himself that night. No teleprompter, no script, no prepped-for questions planted in the press pool. Just a clueless, lost, community-organizer in way-over his head.

Biden needs to take a class on Geography; the alleged foreign policy expert does not know the relative sizes of Libya and Syria. More importantly, how is it Biden can in one debate throw the intel community under the bus regarding Stevens’ murder in Benghazi and then pivot, and place absolute faith in their prowess regarding the Iranian nuclear program? Finally, the hard part in making a nuclear bomb is not the bomb assembly, it is the collection if fissile material for the bomb. This is a lie with monstrous implications.

My bs-o-meter finally broke last night when Biden intoned that his Catholic faith defines him; the spring shot out through the glass display and put a hole in the ceiling. There also were the lou-lou’s regarding the Libyan embassy debacle, the meter pegged red so hard it bent the needle. The sorry return to the mythical $5T in tax cuts was another peg-red moment. Still, considering Biden’s handicap, I should not be surprised that he can’t tell the truth even if his life depends on it.

The question then is what does this mean for the upcoming debates? With the bleeding stopped, can team Messiah recapture the lost momentum, and lost voters? The poll aggregates are trending against Team Blue since the first debate. Obama has a tougher row to hoe than Biden. Smokin’ Joe can afford to be a total ass on TV, Obama cannot. Obama, who is admittedly lazy, needs to come prepared, and have something other than a set of campaign-commercial one-liners memorized. This is a daunting mission, as Obama’s work ethic is not up to the task.

Obama was angry. Obama was angry with Jim Lehrer, despite getting FIVE MORE minutes of speaking time than Romney. Obama was angry with Romney, who was busy mopping the floor with him. He was exposed. The emperor has no clothes, for the emperor has no answers. His responses to the questions were the same tired cliches from four years ago.

Obama trudged back to corporate jets for Exxon — Romney educated the president that the $2.5B in oil subsidies go primarily to small wildcat outfits that are the real risk takers in the industry. Romney then asked about the $90B in subsidies to the windmill and solar panel green energy industry, the overwhelming majority of which went to companies that are now failing. Obama has given green energy 50 years worth of oil subsidies in one year. If $2.5B is bad, how much worse is $90B? Obama had no answers. Picking winners and losers is wrong. How much worse is it to only pick losers?

Obama droned on about “Tax breaks for exporting jobs” — Romney never heard of such a thing, and he has over 20 years running businesses. “Only 5% of business are purely owner operated, so what is the problem with raising corporate taxes?”, says Obama. “That 5% creates three quarters of all the new jobs”, is the reason why Mr. President. Romney was spot on, it is about employment. Each new job is a double win for the country. Each job means one less unemployment or welfare check needs to be cut. Each new job means more taxes can be collected, without raising the rates.

Looking at his shoes, like some errant schoolboy, Obama got his head handed back to him. Implementing the recommendations in the Simpson-Bowles report would have been better than doing what Obama did do, which has been nothing. Obama crowed how it is now going through to the congress. Mr President, you have had four years to turn this report into a bill, and then into law. How about a budget Mr President?

Obama claims to have found $4T in cuts in the federal budget. So why has the budget run deficits of over $1.2T each year he has been in office? Obama had a super majority for 2 years and has had the senate for all four. Romney worked with a Democrat super majority as governor. What has been obvious is Obama does not know how to work across party lines. At. All.

We are in trouble in this country. We need leadership. What we got is Obama. Obama is a shadow of James Earl Carter. James Earl Carter was the worst president in US history, until now.

Lets see. We have a barnyard full of freaks and animals, many of whom self identify as jack asses. The pig pen is full of fawning media types from MSM, gorging on the slop thrown to them by farmer Obama, who moonlights as a big tent ringleader. We got legions of clowns. Wasserman Shultz is eating fire, while Axelrod is juggling. One washed up vaudeville act after another — look its Michelle. She is telling a story about Barak’s rusty old car. Why was a lawyer from an Ivy League school driving a rusty old car? They drove the rusty old car to her parents country home, talking all the while about how money does not matter. The Obama’s are only worth $7M, how would they know money does not matter? Both went to Ivy League prep schools, and from there to the Ivy League. How did they learn that money does not matter? Someone was even selling popcorn and Tofu-corn dogs during this act. Yep. This is a circus. The Democrats have come to town of Charlotte NC, and the wheels have come off the clown car.

Bill Clinton will be taking the stage tonight. He is the man on the tight rope. I am sure he wants to help Barack Obama. Why? Because Bubba is just fine with his wife losing her bid for the presidency, and doing so in a grinding, underhanded and nasty primary campaign. Then there was the issue of Bill having the race card being played on him. I guess that knocked his honorary title of the first black president off his head and into the round file. Then there is the campaign in 2016 to think about, we can’t have Bill not playing the role elder statesman, gazing with approval upon his successor. Bill is just looking for someone to carry his bags, he said so to Ted Kennedy.

We also have the bearded women from NOW. These are serious women. Not a shred of humor to be found. Not a single funny bone in the lot. These serious women want people to think seriously about serious women’s issues. With 23M people unemployed or under employed, are these serious thinking women thinking about how do women find employment, keep their jobs, put food on the table and a roof over the heads of their families? Why no. These women are seriously fixated on getting public funding for abortions. They are so serious about this that it is now a plank in the Democrat party platform for this. This is serious business in a country where there are over 5000 abortions performed everyday. All Just to stop the so called Republican War on Women? Seriously? We are supposed to take the bearded women from NOW seriously?

So. How did the wheels come off the clown car? Well, remember that party platform we mentioned earlier? It no longer had language recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the one last reference to God, had been removed. A small matter, except for the possible loss of the Jewish and non-Atheist voting blocs. But hey, this is Barack’s Democrat National Convention and he runs a tight ship right? Uh. Not really. The rules were suspended so that two planks in the party platform could be amended, returning language regarding Jerusalem and God back into the platform. The clowns were pouring out from under the hood and through the windows at this point.

This language would not have made it back in had the votes been counted. But Mayor Villaraigosa, the man with the top hat on stilts, pulled a move that would have made any Tammany Democrat proud. He declared it passed. Passed by two thirds majority? Really? It sounded like the motion did not even command a simple majority, no matter how often he called the vote. This fiasco is the mother of all unforced errors. The best part is that Democrat operatives have called this a Republican dirty trick. Really? Did Republicans write the Democrat party platform? Did Republicans make the motion on the floor to suspend the rules, introduce the new language, or vote against it? It must be George Bush’s fault.

These people want to lead our country? Really? Seriously?

In WWII, there were many slogans posted throughout the US for the citizens to see. It had to do with not talking about anything considered useful information that the enemy (“we have spies everywhere”) could use against us. It was a process of indoctrination and maybe it is time to bring that program back. There are cleared spouses out there who can’t even discuss things between themselves because of disseminating information that the other might not have privilege to. The way secrets are kept is with the understanding that you only get to know what is directly related to your contribution and need on the subject. I have stated this before: Congress is EXEMPT from having to be polyed or having a clearance. Clearances are a lengthy and in-depth process to discern who can be trusted with classified information. Every organization uses some of their own requirements in this vetting process. Organizations have a “death” clause that that states any information received can not be disseminated until death do us part. That means regardless when you received that information or procedure or way of doing business, and regardless when you have left that position or organization, you may NEVER discuss anything learned…..until you are dead. Serious stuff. So why is it politicized?

You have had your Pentagon Papers and your Watergate and these “news” people did the general public a great service by bringing the truth out in the open. Or did they? We have internal ways of dealing with politicians who wrong America and desecrate their oath of office. There are things that the “people” of America just don’t need to know or get involved with. 50 years ago, John Kennedy had done some pretty heady things that put America in jeopardy, some of which we are still learning about today, but for the most part had been kept “secret”. So why does Mr. Transparency think it is allowable to tell OPSEC to the general public, which puts everyone in this country (and others) in grave jeopardy yet we aren’t allowed to know how political parties deceive the citizens with bills (behind closed doors) or even find out about rouge operations directly attributable to the White House and its cronies? Operations where people die and the only secrets involved are the ones that “cover our ass cause we really screwed up”.

Citizens need to understand OPSEC and how it affects their lives. ANYONE with access to any classified material should always be put through the process to see whether they qualify to have that access. Any individual, from the President on down, should be held accountable through fines, dismissal, imprisonment and death for disclosing that information to others who DO NOT HAVE the need to know. If severe acts of recourse are put upon those who leak, maybe then the individuals who take OPSEC lightly and the US citizens who don’t have the understanding of importance, would view this in the light of which it belongs. Bottom line is: When secrets are told-people will die. Of that you can be assured.

MSM Asleep in 2008?

It amazes me that we still do not know this man’s grades from law school, but, we know that Romney beat some up kid in high school.  Really?  MSM sent close to 100 reporters to go dumpster-diving through Palin’s trash, yet we still do not know what did Obama write to become the editor of the Harvard Law Review.  He has the distinction of being the only editor in its history who never published a single article in the Review. The man is a cipher to this day because the MSM refuses to really investigate him in the same way it would vet any Republican.

Considering how one cannot get a job as a bank teller without a transcript from ones Alma Mater, that Obama’s past is still subject to speculation is an extraordinary failure to investigate that demonstrates the public trust has been violated by the media. Obama has not been vetted when running for office — ever.

The trouble I see is that the big three, ABC, CBS and NBC, their affiliates and subsidiaries, have confused reportage with editorial writing. Furthermore, they have confused the public trust with the party planks of the Democrat Left. The large newspapers in our great cities, the NYT being the flagship of that dieing industry, are equally complicit in this willful desire to protect the image of a charlatan at the expense of the American public. We have not been served by this booster-ism disguised as news. The Washington Post’s recent spat of front-page, Democrat-water-carrying might not be as laughable had they ever troubled themselves to apply this degree of scrutiny to candidate Obama. The masthead of the papers should be changed to include the Obama Zero, as should the icons of the Big Three. Is this the final nail in the coffin of the big-media impartiality lie?

Here we have an embarrassment. This is not only embarrassing to our president — for the obvious reason that he is caught in a blatant lie.   It goes far beyond that. This is an embarrassment for every journalist and reporter in the country who refused to dig into the background of an unknown whose résumé was paper thin. A candidate with so little accomplishment, was hailed as our savior?!? The professional cynics in lieu of a thorough check of his background, soiled themselves showering this wisp-of-a-man with undeserved, fictional accolades. Then, more importantly, there is the embarrassment to the nation — we voted for an unknown with all the care and consideration we reserve for the choosing of a high-school class president. It was not only a willful suspension of disbelief, it was a willful suspension of intelligence. It was hysteria. Then lastly, there is the embarrassment we as a generation will suffer before posterity, for we will endure the collective shame of this error in judgement for decades to come.

It’s a fascinating episode for one week out from what had threatened to be a pretty dry election run-up. On one level, you have the mistake itself, magnified by – in its devastating splendor – technology! – for without the means to quickly grab and circulate an image, the newsletter in question would have been before multiple pairs of eyes.

And of course there is the usual mock horror from the usual sensitivity police, awaiting with hair trigger reflexes anything that can be construed as offensive. So when something like this episode occurs – a blunder which, coming from an official party committee, would have elicited an explanation even in less superficial times – most public figures are so well trained they race to the denunciation podium. “Most” – thank goodness – not all.

It all began late this summer, when the anti-capitalist magazine AdBusters put out a call for people to occupy Wall Street on Sept. 17. From Andrew Sullivan:

The article clearly states Adbusters’ hand in perpetuating this into being, which is exactly the problem. Adbusters makes caviar socialists like Dominique Strauss-Kahn look like the salt of the earth, saviors of the working class. They basically prey on college students and twenty-somethings unsure of themselves but with distrust in authority, selling their massive and expensive glossy magazine.

The Democrats attempted to smear the TEA Party by summarily declaring it to be ‘astro-turf.’ The trouble with that idea was there was no smoking gun, just a lot of innuendo and unsubstantiated accusations. The TEA party’s success is in large part due to the fact that there is no centralized command and control. The TEA Party protesters came in their hundreds of thousands and filled the National Mall. That level of participation is real democracy in action. Despite pipe dreams to the contrary, the movement as a whole is maintaining its independence from the GOP.

When the Tea Parties started. They were founded by Ron Paul supporters. Ever since Obama was sworn into office.The ranks were swollen with new comers standing against the socialist leftist agenda over taxes,the loss of freedoms and national sovereignty. These groups nationwide were eclipsing beyond the control of the Republican establishment. Any long term incumbent person in either party was booed in every public appearance they made.

On the other hand, the unemployed college graduates who are doing the protesting are getting a little organizational help right off the bat. ACORN is back. It has been resurrected as Take Back Boston, which is one of several fronts for the disgraced original.

Among the Take Back Boston organizers is a spinoff of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Amid a massive fraud scandal and a series of criminal probes, ACORN supposedly dismantled but the reality is that it simply changed its name. In fact, Judicial Watch recently published a special report (“The Rebranding of ACORN”) about the organization’s transformation into various spinoffs and affiliated groups.

Then there is the SEIU angle. This ‘occupy wall street’ idea has been in the works for some time. It appears that the only issue was not what to do, but when. SEIU called for a day of rage against Wall Street as early as March 25th of this year. The SEIU organization began planning in earnest back in March, and we are seeing the results.

On March 25 ACORN founder Wade Rathke, a one-time president of an SEIU local in New Orleans, announced what he described as “days of rage in ten cities around JP Morgan Chase.” Rathke said the forthcoming campaign of demonstrations, strikes and disruption will mark “the beginning of the anti-banking jihad.”

Obama is supporting this group. This should be no big surprise as SEIU made massive contributions to his campaign, and its officers visit The President often. It is also no big surprise that Obama supports Occupy Wall Street as many of their demands echo Obama Policy on many levels. It appears we are looking at the beginning of the Democrat campaign for 2012. The party has already ‘rallied’ behind the protesters.

Astro-turf indeed, the Democrats are hoping for a counter to the TEA party. This is not the same animal. The TEA party did not seek confrontation with the police. The TEA party actually looked like Middle America. The tattooed, pierced, anarchists/zombies are incoherent at best, and frighteningly violent and totalitarian in many cases.

The zeal for totalitarian government amongst some of the “protesters” is shocking. One sign being carried around read, “A government is an entity which holds the monopolistic right to initiate force,” which seems a little ironic when protesters complain about being physically assaulted by police in the same breath.

It appears The American People will get a truly stark choice in the election booth come 2012. The question is will the left let if get that far.

Not only does Newt Gingrich get it, he does not let Brian Williams get away with it. Gingrich in less than a minute spelled out what is bothering more than half of America about Obamacare. Everything from process to it impact, and all that is in between; Gingrich was succinct and brilliant. He also, in the same minute, took the media to task for its blatant attempt to wound the Republican front runners, and Gingrich did so with a clarity that typifies him when he is firing on all cylinders. Then, in that very same minute, he made an unequivocal and masterful call for unity of purpose — the defeat of Barak Hussein Obama.

The impact of his words is not to be measured by the talking heads for whom Gingrich has obvious disdain. It needs to be affirmed by the fact that the other candidates were nodding their agreement to all three of his points. It needs to be qualified by the three rounds of applause and cheers. The man is flawed, but this is America; as President Sarkozy brilliantly put it, “America embodies this extraordinary ability to grant each and every person a second chance.”

Anyone on that stage is a better choice for America than the current empty suit in the White House. Obama is an ideologue without imagination. He seeks a socialist Utopia, but aside from tired and pedestrian Keynesian bromides — he has no ideas on how to even begin a journey toward any Utopia. Obama is a man that was elected to the presidency who is without accomplishment. He is a mirage. Even the book he has ‘written’ appears to the result of someone else’s effort. Obama was the tabula rasa that was elected to the highest office in the land. Ultimately we must blame ourselves for this error.

Gingrich, unlike the current vacuous White House denizen, is a man of great imagination and worthy accomplishment. He was the author of the welfare reform Clinton signed in the 90’s. Gingrich was the architect of the 1994 tide that gave us the first Republican congress in 50 years. Gingrich is a man of ideas. He was the author of the Contract with America. He is also a man who has shown himself to be ill disciplined. The question is then, “Has he learned from his mistakes”

I am thinking that Gingrich is worth a second look. We need ideas. We need imagination. Newt would crush Obama in a head to head debate. Given the current field, is Gingrich the best choice? I am not sure. I am certain that none of the other candidates are a credibly better choice. Newt is certainly not the media’s choice. That along with his obvious strengths should make him worthy of further consideration.

Hey, the stuff about extending dignity and liberty around the world was awfully reminiscent of another recent president, was it not?

Unique among American public office holders, Barack Obama has enjoyed a freedom from scrutiny that would not be afforded your local dog catcher. Refusing to provide a valid birth certificate or school transcripts would disqualify anyone from most government jobs as well as most positions in corporate America.

For over two years, President Obama’s cabal of protectors in academia, the old media and liberal interest groups has been successful in hiding these and other inconvenient facts about the odd man in the Oval Office. But as his incompetence becomes increasingly evident to the American people, curious observers have been chipping away at Obama’s veneer of professional unassailability.

Just over three weeks from today, the remaining shreds of that facade will be demolished with the release of Dr. Jerome Corsi’s latest investigative report, Where’s The Birth Certificate? – already ranked #1 at Amazon and certain to be the first non-fiction blockbuster of the summer season.

Dr. Corsi’s 2004 report, Unfit For Command, uncovered questions about Senator John Kerry’s self-proclaimed valorous service in Vietnam and damaged the senator’s presidential chances.

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND and WND Books, the publisher of Where’s The Birth Certificate?, called it “a game-changer – and the news media blackout on this issue has now turned into a media feeding frenzy to cover their negligent rear ends.” Since before Obama’s election, WND has been the only news organization to continue reporting consistently on the president’s missing birth document.

By simply ridiculing anyone who raises the issue as “birthers,” the president’s liberal apologists have been able to sidestep questions about why Obama won’t provide access to his birth certificate. The progressives’ tried and true ad hominem mode of defense began to wear thin in recent months when Hawaii’s governor publicly declared he would provide the documentation to put an end to questions about the birth certificate – and then was forced to reneg on the promise. Shortly thereafter, Donald Trump made headlines by asking why the president did not make the birth certificate available.

Now, with Dr. Corsi’s book poised to hit the bestseller lists, the president will likely have some explaining to do, his defenders will need to do more than yell “birther” when the questions arise, and Obama’s 2012 campaign managers themselves will likely be wondering why he won’t just release the birth certificate, because the one thing they now know for sure is the issue is not going away before November 2012.
